"Doctor Lu!"
Hearing soone call his na, Lu Jing finally stopped all the speculations in his mind and hurriedly said,
"Hang up, busy."
"Okay."
The call ended, and he had thought he’d be able to finish everything soon.
Little did he know, he would be busy for several days.
Jiang Ye had even left on a business trip from the next day and had just returned tonight.
The mont he got off the airplane, he called Lu Jing.
Unfortunately, nobody answered.

And he was lucky to have caught this opportunity.
After hurrying through a shower, applying so toner, brushing his teeth, and not even washing his hair, he collapsed into bed and fell asleep.
He was truly exhausted from the day.
However, he hadn’t slept long when sothing startled him awake.
At first, he thought his roommates had co back and was about to speak up when he heard voices of two n in the living room; what they were saying wasn’t clear, but he was certain they weren’t the boyfriends of his roommates.
If they weren’t, then they could only be—thieves!
Suddenly, Lu Jing’s breath caught in his throat for a few seconds; his reaction slowed considerable, and he lay rigid on his bed.
Any girl in such a situation would likely react the sa way.
Once his breathing normalized, he took a deep breath and with a trembling arm, he felt under his pillow.
Once found, he clutched it tightly.
It took about two more seconds to calm down before he continued to shake as he lit up the screen and opened his contacts list with trembling fingers.
The top call record was from that person; without hesitation, Lu Jing made the call.
The police might not co as quickly as the person across the way.
In such an urgent situation, Lu Jing’s mind was still clear enough to make the best choice.
The phone only rang twice before it was answered.
"Lu’er, why so late?"
You could hear the huskiness in the person’s voice, clearly woken from sleep.
Lu Jing had tried to speak multiple tis but couldn’t make a sound.
In extre situations, various things can happen to a person, such as temporary blindness, deafness, or muteness.
At that mont, Lu Jing was experiencing the latter—muteness.
