The earlier issue doesn't require much discussion, but the latter one Li Ang was also curious about.
Becoming a deity? In an era where powerful beings in the Legendary Realm have disappeared, and even the way to beco a legend is unclear, this seems like a purely fantastical story.
But Baal once talked about the story of the Goddess of Kindness. If it were a way of leaving behind legendary deeds and gradually evolving into faith because of worship, there would be so trace to follow. However, what the Island Founder intends does not seem to align with this.
"It depends on how you define a Divine Spirit."
Akuya folded her arms: "Extrely powerful entities, such as Legendary beings who have transcended ordinary laws, also have precedent in being considered Divine Spirits.
"And the Primordial Beings I've ntioned, they are no different from those gods in mortal stories who control storms, ride clouds, and host grand feasts in the Cloud Celestial Palace. They are born with a world-class law, you could say they are inherently part of the world."
The Water Dragon cited the Eldest Son of God as an example, but Li Ang detected the implication that the Six Dragons are similar, as they are born mastering powerful laws that far exceed ordinary Legendary individuals.
The Six Dragons comprise the Four Major Elents and the Power of Light and Dark, while the Dragon Ancestor manifests different forms of Magic Power. It's unknown what laws the Primordial Beings are associated with.
Simply put, possessing law power stronger than an ordinary legend, strong enough to shake the world, is how one could be considered a Divine Spirit.
Li Ang looked up at the chanical Creation Furnace that had been operating unceasingly for thousands of years: "What laws does the civilization here master?"
"Related to forging items, perhaps. They are quite impressive, and this power even benefits the entire race, but it is still lacking."
On the system panel, the progress of "assembling complete technical inheritance," which was ntioned earlier, was gradually approaching 100%. So information hidden within this grand chanical facility was gradually being captured by the system.
What could it be about? lting fake origin alloy? Or constructing similarly complex machinery?
Xiaomo sighed: "Aspiring to beco a deity, truly absurd. It's completely different from my life as a carefree thief."
Akuya laughed: "Aspiring to beco a deity isn't the most absurd; the most common aspiration is to assassinate a god."
Xiaomo raised his eyebrows, treating it as just a story, but this statent carried more weight for Li Ang.
"To assassinate a god?"
Which deity is the target? A Primordial Being? The Six Dragons or the Dragon Ancestor? Or perhaps other high-ranking existences that Nebis was aware of?
Li Ang exchanged glances with Akuya, and the Water Dragon clearly realized he wanted to understand more, but she responded with a aning from sothing she had seen before.
He nodded knowingly: "I understand, it's about authority, right?"
"You already know."
Li Ang resolved to encourage Zoe to quickly train as a Dragon Summoner upon returning.
"Having discussed so much, I've always wanted to ask," Xiaomo's hand brushed one side of the railing, "where did the people here go?"
The Water Dragon explained the purpose of this facility based on what she knew. Without her explanation, Li Ang and Xiaomo would have been most concerned about why this civilization left behind their efforts and disappeared entirely.
"They might have been taken by the Divine People—"
Akuya had just begun speaking when a sudden jarring vibration erupted.
Li Ang imdiately raised a shield, and at the sa ti, Xiaomo donned a shadowy veil, readying themselves for defense.
The force capable of shaking the sturdy platform surrounding the chanical Creation Furnace was formidable regardless of its nature.
A gigantic operating golem slowly erged from the back of the chanical Creation Furnace.
Due to the enormous furnace, which could support the entire City of the Ship's Rudder in suspension, the view from where Li Ang and the others stood was not enough to see its sides, let alone the back, which indeed might have housed unforeseen elents.
"What should we do? Fight or retreat? Uh, let's retreat."
The first half of Xiaomo's statent sought Li Ang and Akuya's opinions, but by the latter half, he was already decisively retreating.
Not just him, even Li Ang entertained the thought of temporarily avoiding confrontation.
The approaching tal golem, though formidable in the imitation of the source material, instigated a retreat due to the surging Fla of Magic Power flowing over its surface.
[Guard of the chanical Creation Furnace]
[Born out of the expansive blueprint of the Island Founder, the chanical Creation Furnace ca into existence, and to protect this pride, the guards of the chanical Creation Furnace were also born. But over the millennium after the furnace's masters left, both it and its guardians have lost their significance.]
[Species: Creation·Undead]
[Combat Wisdom: Tier 9 (-1)]
[Servant: chanical Creation Furnace engineering equipnt, Tier 9]
[Energy Source: lting and Gathering Law, Tier 10]
[Physical Strength: Primal Alloy Armor, Tier 8. Fusion Concept: Unremitting Regeneration, Tier 9]
[Special Attack: Furnace Fla Jet]
[Skills: Divine Power Crush, Material lting, Primordial Fire]
[Combat Power Amplification: 77%]
This being certainly resembles the Guard of the Creation Cauldron.
Even though it is larger than the Guard of the Creation Cauldron, its individual strength is sowhat weaker.
However, at this mont, dealing with it would be exponentially more difficult than dealing with the guard at the Mountain Copper Furnace.
At that ti, the Guard of the Creation Cauldron t its end at the Do Furnace Association's main battleground, overwheld by the contemporary number one heir of the Weapon Race, Elaphia, the Grand Artisan who commanded Forging Treasure, and Li Ang, the only Tier Nine Curse Master of this era.
Here, however, is right by the chanical Creation Furnace, entirely the pri territory of this mighty creation.
The unquenched flas in the grand facilities, unused for a millennium, are at its disposal. The Legendary Law extracted from the entire ancient civilization bolsters its strength, and it appears that the repeatedly functioning chanical furnaces could beco weapons against Li Ang and the other intruders.
"My suggestion is to retreat."
Li Ang encased all three of them in the Armor of Wind, with the scorching air currents propelling them rapidly towards the entrance to the furnace.
On the other side, the Giant tal also began its pursuit.
With its massive fra and unburdened stride, in just a few breaths it was blocking the trio's path. The flas on its surface instantly ignited Li Ang's Armor of Wind, forcing him to cast the Water Crystal to expand a Water Curtain, countering the flas.
"What is that!" Xiaomo exclaid.
Yet what shocked him more than the formidable adversary was the position at the chest of the Giant tal.
Underneath its chest armor, where a human's abdon would be, there was a hollow. Within it sat a person.
Calling it sitting is inaccurate; his limbs were bound in tal restraints, visible through the gaps in the armor plates, and those restraints connected to chanical structure.
Yet he could do nothing, for he was dead.
But he wasn't completely dead; his eyes glimred with Spiritual Light, indicating he had undergone Undead Transformation.
Nebis's life, at its end, should have had its Spirit dissipate into the world's cycle, but if a strong obsession remains, there's a chance the Spirit is retained and operates according to certain principles.
The Island Founder did not abandon the chanical Creation Furnace and leave; this person was the guardian left behind by the Island Founder.
Simultaneously seeing this person, Li Ang understood why this island core facility was built so grandly, akin to a giant's palace.
His limbs aren't restrained but connected to the device that moves the golem; this Guard of the chanical Creation Furnace resembles armor donned upon him.
Even though he's dead, the golem's Magic Power tempered his corpse to remain resilient, displaying his posture in life. This usage of donning a giant golem seed a norm within the Island Founder's civilization.
Transforming into giants through their own technology.
This scene garnered a modicum of respect from Li Ang, but now is not the ti.
Facing the guard's approaching Sharp Claw, he imdiately unleashed a shimring High-tier Magic Missile in retaliation.
The surging magic collided, resembling kindling a Star. The magic clash nullified the guardian's first strike, though the magic assault deflected off its hard exterior.
[lting and Gathering Law]
[Legendary Law of lting Materials, mastering this law grants total understanding of material fusion thodologies, transforming even lower-tier materials into wonders through coordination. Without a Destructive Law, contending with it will be exceedingly arduous.]
