Chapter 440: Chapter 239: Hotown of the Sea (Part 3)

The two continued forward, but to their surprise, the Power of Nature did not grow stronger. Instead, it was being crowded out by other forces.

It was the Water Elent drawn by a dense Water Spirit.

The further they walked, the more moisture there was. The water droplets on the cave walls turned into flowing streams, and the path under their feet was covered by a gentle stream, making it seem as if they were about to walk into an underground river.

The concentration of Water Elent was sothing Li Ang had never experienced in his life. This sensation was akin to the level of concentration of Fire Elent and Wind Elent he felt near the volcano and the Harmony Wall.

Though ngze Island is the most abundant in Water Elent, this concentration exceeded Li Ang’s expectations.

Even Otto was amazed, not to ntion that he was a local, whose swordsmanship had Water attributes, and who lived in a water-related village. He also felt that this cave held mysteries.

The two speculated: Could this possibly be the Source of Water of ngze Island?

They quickened their pace. After the cave extended a bit further, the terrain suddenly opened up. Li Ang tossed the Light Elent light source, and the light was imdiately refracted by the crystal surfaces, instantly illuminating the entire cave.

A breathtaking scene unfolded before their eyes.

A massive skeleton coiled within the entire cave. It was serpentine, and in terms of size, slightly smaller than the Earth Serpent relic shell on Satus Island. However, it was not an ordinary serpent; nurous fin bones could be distinctly seen around the white bones.

It was very similar to the Sea Dragon Skeleton of Huanwo Village, but with more fins and proportionally longer. It was clear that its rank was far higher than the one in the village.

Surrounding the silent skeleton were high-purity Water Attribute Crystals embedded in the cave walls, making this space resemble a Crystal Palace.

Excluding the Purest Star Crystal, these were the highest purity Water Attribute Materials Li Ang had ever seen. Their quantity was astonishing, extrely singular, an extre opposite to the diverse Gemstone creations of the Earth Serpent.

Was this an exceptionally high-ranking Sea Dragon? Or a Star Soul? Its fall had an impact on the environnt very similar to that of the Earth Serpent. Could an ordinary Dragon Species accomplish this?

While Li Ang was astonished, he also sensed Otto’s emotional fluctuations.

The usually composed old man muttered to himself, "Sea Dragon... Sea Dragon God... this level should not be wrong. Has the place our race long abandoned as a refuge turned out to be the ancestral holand our forefathers never found?"

Sea Dragon God?

In the understanding of the Huanwo Village people, could the Sea Dragon God truly be the Sea Dragon Ancestor?

Even Li Ang thought that the Sea Dragon Ancestor should seemingly possess greater power, but the surrounding dense and pure Water Attribute Materials and the environnt seed to prove all this.

If it had fallen along with the sea’s disappearance, retaining so much power over an imasurable number of years is no small feat.

"Look."

Li Ang called the elder to look at the cave’s top, where many thick roots extended from the highest point in all directions, penetrating these Water Crystals and absorbing their power.

The roots were entwined with starlight, sharing characteristics with the Star Soul entities seen by their Power.

So that’s how it is.

He instantly understood how the ecology of ngze Island was ford.

Regardless of whether this skeleton is the Sea Dragon Ancestor or an unknown Star Soul, its fall brought countless Water Spirits, even covering the island with water.

Much like Eden choosing Frost Heaven Island and Baal choosing the predecessor Thunder Island of the Wotam Church Country, the Water-needing Star Soul of the Creation Tree chose to dwell here, fostering the island’s plants with its waters, forming the current environnt.

Now, the cave where Li Ang and Otto stood should be Diana’s Star Palace.

If so—

Li Ang followed the path of the roots with his gaze, ultimately discovering that the roots converged in a corner where the dragon skeleton coiled, where a flowering tree quietly grew.

It was evidently not a natural plant, as the colorful flowers belonged to entirely different species, impossible to grow on the sa tree.

But if it were a Star Soul, that would be another matter.

Li Ang bypassed the blocked view by the gigantic dragon bones, seeing the full view of the flowering tree, and imdiately understood the source of Diana’s weakness.

In the center of the tree trunk, a giant axe wrapped in black flesh had deeply embedded itself.

The one holding the giant axe was a tal colossus over ten ters tall, also wrapped in dark purple flesh, reclining on the ground, silent for unknown ages.

Moss and so short plants grew amidst the life force emitted by the flowering tree, yet avoided the prone tal giant, as if there existed a power upon it that they could not touch.

The black-purple flesh on the colossus and its weapon had long since dried, but now, they were being gradually activated in soone’s hand, writhing in a nauseating manner.

The perpetrator turned around, cloaked wholly in the Divine Eye Robe, with the dark golden giant eye on the drooping brim staring straight at the two visitors.

"Oh? Since the Shadow of the Annihilator sent people here, it ans those incompetent ones have been defeated. The Annihilator believes it can’t deal with you, which indeed piques my interest."
