Chapter 431: Chapter 236: Huanwo Village (Part 2)

"Hmm, this is sowhat different from taking care of a child."

Otto was not confused, but he had no intention of comnting on the matters between Li Ang and them.

"You rode the waves to get here, and Huanwo Village is on the opposite side of this lake?"

Li Ang looked towards the direction from which the elder ca, contemplating whether to attempt another Yufeng flight.

"I have a grass sled prepared."

Otto pointed to the not-so-distant lakeshore, where indeed there was a grass sled that could accommodate several people.

That was what he brought, and the reason he rode the waves was simply because it was a straight path; he didn’t want to take a detour.

Even though Otto was powerful, he did not have flying abilities. Perhaps he also considered that in people’s perception, a witch wouldn’t be capable of flying, much less carrying others, so having a carriage ready was a wise choice.

The Sword Hero grasped the hilt of the long blade at his waist, adjusted the angle, and drew it horizontally.

With a horizontal slash, the Sword Qi crisscrossed, stirring up waves, with splashes dancing on the water’s surface. The substantial Qi Blade spread forward, becoming a temporary water walkway.

Otto took the lead, stepping forward on the Sword Qi walkway.

Li Ang imdiately followed with the group mbers.

Andasu stared intently at her feet: "This is the Swordsmanship of a High tier master, completely surpassing the norm."

Of course, Zoe wanted to look up at this spectacle. After witnessing Otto’s sword move, she couldn’t stand still and finally hopped down, jogging a few steps towards Otto.

"Grandpa, how did you perform that move?"

"The idea is simple; it requires Swordsmanship to reach that level."

"Tell

about it, will you?"

Otto glanced at the sword on Zoe’s waist: "You are already very familiar with swords, so explaining it to you should help you understand part of it, it’s fine to explain."

He cleared his throat and said before he began: "ii wanted to learn Swordsmanship too, but she still runs around everywhere. Later, I will ensure she stays put to study. You can join as well."

"Okay!" Zoe agreed readily.

They discussed Swordsmanship as they walked to the grass sled.

Zoe was not yet satisfied, but Otto stopped his explanation and seized the grass sled reins.

"Didn’t see any Water Flying Serpents pulling the cart?" Dorothy asked.

"Huanwo Village does not rely on such Demons."

Otto took out the bone flute from his waist, slowly playing a deep but slightly sharp tune.

As the sound spread over the water, it wasn’t long before the distant lake stirred up splashes.

A dorsal fin, like that of a fish, broke the water’s surface, slicing through the white waves. The waves surged rapidly towards the shore, and a Demon six to seven ters long leapt from the water, landing directly in the shallows.

When its two feet stepped into the shallow, pebbled shoal, it also splashed up a spray of water, which Otto blocked entirely with a wave of his hand, ensuring no one got wet.

This Demon was also a Dragon Beast, with blue scales all over. Erging from the water, its long mouth held a fish, and its hook-like forearm grasped a large fish.

The Dragon Beast placed the large fish in its mouth and swallowed it before dragging its long tail, which also had a dorsal fin, towards Otto.

This was a Demon Li Ang had never seen before, so he opened its panel.

Wow, quite weak.

Despite its ferocious appearance, this Dragon Beast was actually weak. It might not even be as strong as a Salamander of the sa tier, but it was rely rare.

"It’s called a Sea Thorn Dragon, and for years, the village has relied on it, this Sub-dragon. I’ve allowed it to roam freely while I awaited your arrival."

Otto said, fitting a harness on the Sea Thorn Dragon.

After everyone steadied themselves on the grass sled, they were dragged by the Sea Thorn Dragon, moving northward.

"Huanwo Village, what kind of village is it?" Shortly after taking a seat, Dorothy asked.

Seated at the front holding the reins, Otto turned his face slightly and said: "Not very mysterious, really, just a reclusive, small village."

Evening had fallen, the sun descending beyond the island’s treetops, darkness claiming the sky as the terrain traversed by the Sea Thorn Dragon grew ever more complex.

Huanwo Village’s grass sled was unlike those used by ordinary islanders, featuring flotation airbags underneath, allowing the Sea Thorn Dragon to occasionally drag the carriage over streams and across the lake, turning it into a temporary boat.

When the moon fully ascended into the night sky, ALulu’s stomach began to rumble audibly.

She stuffed bread into her mouth, quietly asking, "How much longer?"

Li Ang actually wanted to ask as well, for they had been traveling across the lake for half a day.

After nightfall, mist rose ahead, as if this lake had no end.

"We’ve arrived," Otto said.

The young girls perked up, but looking around, all they saw was the middle of the lake.

Otto tapped the shell, resembling a conch, on the right armrest of the carriage with the hilt of his sword.

Prior to this, it was rely regarded as a decorative item. Now, as Otto channeled Magic Power into it, it transford, radiating rings of magic energy.

Soon, the water beneath the seat began to flow, forming a vortex.

The vortex expanded, and Otto struck the shell on the left armrest, imdiately producing a transparent mbrane that enveloped the carriage.

The Sea Thorn Dragon dived into the water, pulling everyone straight into the depths of the lake.
