The large flying airship with a white base passed through the wind wall corridors and returned to the Ignis Sky Realm.
As Elaphia's vehicle, although it was originally a standard large airship funded by the guild, this young lady had modified and enhanced it with her own assets to reach the combat ship level of a usual Celestial Group.
Therefore, its flying speed is top-notch.
Between the ship's dining room and lounge, there's a tea room where one can see the deck and the clear sky scenery. This small, elegantly furnished space is practically Elaphia's personal domain.
Li Ang and the blondie Douding sat on either side of the small round table, while Zoe stood beside them.
Having been invited here by Aifei for so ti, they were discussing the abilities of these group mbers.
After witnessing the Star Soul, due to the help she provided on several occasions and her need to investigate the true face behind the Empire that knows about the Star Soul's existence, Li Ang revealed everything related to the Star Soul to her after getting Zoe's consent.
"I see, when you left the group to return ho, you t this child and started forming a new Sky Cavalry with her as the first mber," Elaphia sipped a small mouthful of fragrant tea.
Traveling between worlds couldn't be ntioned, so Li Ang always referred to Satus Island as his hotown.
Zoe's mysterious parents, the Star Soul, the Holy Speriel Empire's secret thods, accidentally finding the Star Soul in the Wotam Church Country… all these things connected into a line.
"After our last eting, I started investigating once the situation in the aerial realm cald down."
Elaphia said, "Most of the lords responding to the Empire's call pretend ignorance of the fact that the Empire's actions would harm ordinary people and could even cause disaster and war, using historical ties and bloodline connections as excuses, all claiming innocence.
"But investigating them takes ti. Fortunately, thanks to the docunts you gave at the ti, irregular cash flows between Spark Port and Makena Island Country have revealed so issues. A squad has already entered Makena Island Country for in-depth investigation.
"I also visited the Empire's capital fortress of Chalkhaven. Their emperor found many excuses not to show himself."
Although they've encountered major events in a short ti, it hasn't been long since Li Ang left Spark Island, and while there's been progress in the investigation on the Empire, there's no substantial harvest yet.
"I will continue the investigation once I return from the Holy City," said the blondie douding.
She looked at Zoe, whose brown-hued gaze t her sharp one with restraint, and Elaphia nodded toward Zoe.
"The Star Soul... it's really unexpected. Aside from races like ours, there are such existences hidden beneath the world over the long years. They've beco important parts of so Sky Island's history, even shaping its culture and beliefs."
Elaphia added with a sigh, "At least eting you in the Wotam Church Country was a worthwhile trip."
She extended a hand to Zoe, causing the little cat to seem a little helpless.
The blondie douding said, "The ability to control formidable giant beasts, consistently striving for acknowledgnt from the team leader, you're remarkable, an excellent Sky Knight."
"Ah, um," Zoe was not used to Elaphia's gentle approach, and after taking a mont to organize her words, she said, "You're amazing. I want to improve and learn from you too."
The two shook hands, and despite Zoe's small fra and slender hand, her hand was still much larger than Elaphia's.
Li Ang saw Zoe's blushing face, her head bowed, frequently stealing glances at the blondie douding, and her attitude toward her had beco much closer.
Li Ang joked, "Did you first think these were just random people I gathered? Or did you, like Lanslow, claim to 'borrow' team formation as an excuse for a harem?"
Elaphia lifted her exquisite chin slightly, without agreeing or denying.
Li Ang guessed she probably had such thoughts.
"Thank you for never saying you'd drag
to the Hall of Order with that gentleness," he thought to himself.
"Does your race have a long history?" Li Ang opened up a new topic.
He had this curiosity before, but until Elaphia presented him with the Silver Heart Sword, they only collaborated once long ago. Following that, each eting with Elaphia ca with her haughty invitation to join the group. Even though they were familiar, their interactions were shallow. So, he couldn't voice this question.
The blondie douding nodded, placing her teacup on the table, and pondered how to express this in words.
Li Ang continued with his queries: "Earlier, you ntioned to Falo that you ca from the sa place. Ernest, as one of her ancestors, was a person from one thousand years ago. Does the history of your Haven Race extend even further beyond that?"
Elaphia affird, explaining, "According to our clan's docunts, our race was born as a 'Weapon Race.' Our blood flows like tallic currents, and our innate spirituality draws magic power to energize our bodies. When using tal weapons, they feel like extensions of our bodies."
"When I was young, my dad... father would tell
about our race's creation myth. It is said that the God of Weapons cleaved through the red chaos, erecting a small island over an ocean of blood, establishing our earliest settlent upon it."
"Your race even has its creation myth?" Li Ang expressed his surprise.
Elaphia nodded. "According to the myth and records kept within our clan, our race has existed since ten thousand years ago."
"Ten thousand years!" Zoe exclaid, deeply astonished.
Although she received a certain level of education from her parents as a child, knowing even numbers up to the billions, her experiences apart from money dealings on Satus Island and the Flashing Field rarely involved numbers requiring thousands. Theoretically, she should have no concept of it.
