Chapter 121: Chapter 95: Spiritual Driving

Just after going upstairs, Li Ang bumped into Zoe hiding behind the corner.

"Did you hear everything?"

"Mm."

The young girl cautiously observed Li Ang. Sensing he wasn’t displeased, she tentatively asked, "Are you going out?"

"I’m going out tonight, but don’t worry, I’ll be back by morning."

"And after that?"

She clasped her hands behind her back, looking down at the floor, her toes twisting on the ground back and forth.

Li Ang understood. It wasn’t that she feared him going out at night, but that she was worried he might stop taking them with him once he started investigating Farina.

"It won’t take long. If we find the target, we can solve the problem quickly."

"What if you can’t find it?"

If they couldn’t find it, there would certainly be delays.

Zoe moved closer to Li Ang in small steps until they were very near, and as Li Ang looked down into her eyes, he could feel her faintly sour breath.

"That sister also gave

a thod of cultivation. She’s a good person. I support you, Li Ang, in rescuing her.

"I said I would help you reach the top, so even if you’re not here, I will still work hard.

"But if you keep leaving, I’ll still feel lonely."

Zoe suddenly hugged Li Ang around the waist, the softness of the young girl transferring from each point of contact.

"Since there are other mbers now, I haven’t slept with you, Li Ang. As compensation, you have to keep

company."

She was referring to the kind of companionship on Satus Island, falling asleep while chatting, though her words were easy to misconstrue. Li Ang nodded in agreent.

"You don’t need to sneak around if you want to hear

talking to others. We are partners; information should be shared."

"Okay."

Zoe still didn’t let go. Dorothy opened the door, letting out a scream.

The Half Elf caught herself halfway, realizing they were in the hallway, and lowered her voice to avoid piercing the corridor with her cry.

"What are you doing? I just heard sothing about sleeping and thought I misheard. But you really..."

Dorothy pointed at the two while trembling, "I’ve always suspected your relationship isn’t proper. If you would even go for her, why did you have no response when I was so forward? Do you prefer soone smaller and thinner?"

"Stop saying that," Li Ang said helplessly. "It’s just like telling bedti stories. Look at what you’re saying."

Dorothy looked at Zoe’s pure big eyes, then blushed and closed the door to her room.

"Wait," the Half Elf opened the door again, "what kind of pure relationship hugs in the hallway?"

Zoe released her arms and gave Li Ang a cheeky grin, "Don’t break your promise."

She strolled with her hands behind her back toward her room, making a face at Dorothy before entering.

"This little brat!"

The Half Elf clenched her fists tightly.

Lulu also peeked out her pink-haired head from the crack of the door, her eyes full of doubt, "So you have to do that to be good partners?"

Dorothy stomped her foot at Li Ang, "I’m going to cry and make a fuss."

Li Ang sighed as he entered her room. After a brief lecture, he gathered his things and went downstairs to find Mort.

The two donned their cloaks and headed towards the northeast part of the city.

The flat-topped mud houses of the desert gradually gave way to lavish small buildings adorned with colorful decorations, which grew progressively higher until the wide road ahead offered an unimpeded view.

Beyond the extravagant palaces of the leaders, the roads were wide enough for four or five vehicles to ride side by side, with greenery planted along the middle and sides of the roads and even fountains built at the intersections.

Since arriving at the Flashing Field, the most expensive commodity was water, yet this place seed like another world.

Through his Perception Spirit, Li Ang knew that these fountains gathered the water by using Magic Arrays to collect moisture from the air. For a lord, purchasing such things was effortless.

While music and dance filled the palaces, nearby was the base of the Order Sandstorm Corps.

The exquisite small building lost nothing to the nearby palaces in terms of construction. Apart from the sandstone mark by the door, nothing indicated it was the territory of the Order Sky Knight Corps.

For such a lavish small base, Li Ang and Mort both felt the Guild’s funding alone couldn’t account for it.

The Guild’s office on this island was located at the entrance to the Flowing Silver Arena, which was much plainer.

"The last ti I ca to this place, I didn’t even notice they were living here," Li Ang said.

Mort replied, "I can confirm, when you ca last ti, they hadn’t stationed here."

Similar to the previous Fla Corps, inside this small building should be an Elite Guard mber like Lanslow and several regular mbers.

"I’ll head over first," Li Ang said, "If they’re really colluding, they might have already noticed you, so don’t show yourself just yet."

Mort hid in the shadows as Li Ang approached the entrance of the base and was stopped by the gatekeeper.

"What do you do?"

This person didn’t seem like soone from the Order Corps, with his dark skin etched with scars from sandstorms and harsh sun, typical of a sandland rchant.

"I’m looking for the person in charge here." Li Ang displayed his Grand Knight’s dal, with the gun and sword crossed atop the flying wings.

The ranking dal signified the holder’s contributions to the Guild and the world. As a Great Knight, the Order Corps had a responsibility to actively cooperate and offer opinions on pertinent matters.

The sandland rchant guard squinted at the dal, shook his head, and said, "What nonsense? Master Fukate said he’s not seeing anyone in the near future."

"Not seeing anyone?" Li Ang laughed, "Not even if their commander shows up?"

Li Ang had t the commander of the Sandstorm Corps, a slender and sinister man who ruled with an iron fist, deterring the chaotic forces of the Salem Sky Realm from acting rashly.
