Chapter 117: Chapter 93: Ugly Armor (Part 2)
"Oh, right."
Li Ang put down the blueprint and thought, if they don’t eat soon, the ingredients the boss just restocked will be used up again.
Dinner passed in a casual discussion about the Flying Airship; the complete design still had many undecided areas, but the prototype was more or less shaped.
After finishing the al, ALulu leaned back on her chair with a blissful face, and Li Ang said to Zoe and Dorothy, "The plan starting tomorrow is to go to the sand desert in the morning to find Demons for combat training. In the afternoon, I’ll craft the equipnt, and you two can practice cultivation in the room."
"What about Lulu?" Zoe looked at the pink-haired young girl from the Horned Race.
She had given her yet another nickna, this ti omitting the initial sound of the pink-haired girl’s na.
Li Ang looked at ALulu, and upon hearing the discussion about herself, the young girl straightened her posture.
Trying his best not to look at the vigorous swaying of those pendulous things, Li Ang asked, "Would you like to join us when we go training? They both happen to need a Defender, so you can train along too."
"Huh? I-I don’t know if I can..."
ALulu’s light violet pupils suddenly narrowed a bit, and she shyly lowered her head, curling herself further into the chair.
"Of course, there’s no problem." Zoe pulled the young girl’s hand: "Co on, co on."
The warm invitation dispelled much of the child’s tension, and Li Ang continued, "Since you still need money, teaming up to defeat Demons will earn you a share, helping you make so money."
Upon hearing this, ALulu felt it did make sense, and she nodded rapidly.
Zoe suddenly rembered sothing: "Lulu, you’re so skilled, you and your companions can also hunt Demons, so why are you short on money?"
"We have to donate to the order and within the group, to spread the Goddess’s gospel, as the precepts dictate we cannot retain too much personal wealth."
"How can that be?" Zoe, who was dominant on Satus Island, couldn’t understand this behavior.
"Each place has its circumstances." Li Ang advised her not to dwell on it.
He checked the ti and asked ALulu, "You’re all wrapped up in fabric, where’s your original equipnt?"
"At the inn."
"Night has fallen; those Sandbone Group mbers are probably out reveling."
Li Ang looked towards the east of the city, where near the palaces of various leaders lay the most luxurious and decadent establishnts. True to the sky pirate habits, most of them would be lingering there now, unlikely to patrol the city streets.
"Let’s head back to the city streets to fetch ALulu’s equipnt."
Li Ang looked at the childlike face of the young girl from the Ox Race, "And the wealth you obtained from the arena before."
"Oh yeah!"
ALulu suddenly realized she should go reclaim the wealth she had stashed away.
Seeing her reaction, Li Ang realized this child genuinely had no material desires and had never possessed large assets, so there was no concept of proper safekeeping.
They donned their cloaks and returned along the city streets under the cover of night.
Along the way, Li Ang was slightly surprised to still encounter mbers of the Sandbone Group. However, his estimate wasn’t far off; these people had no heart for "guarding safety," and many were drunken in small groups.
He guessed that when this sky pirate group was summoned to the Flashing Field, the employers surely wanted them to act seriously. However, since they were accustod to being lax, the current situation arose.
Deliberately avoiding these drunkards, they returned to the inn where ALulu and her companions stayed without much trouble. Her companions had not returned yet, probably having ventured deep into the desert.
ALulu properly donned her equipnt, and seeing her outfit, Li Ang frowned, while the two inexperienced young girls were beside themselves.
"This looks horrible!" Zoe exclaid.
Dorothy circled around ALulu twice, shaking her head, not speaking directly.
In short, after the young girl from the Ox Race put on her armor, she turned into a tin can.
So of Nebis’s Extraordinary Equipnt and all the Exquisite Equipnt can adapt to the user’s body shape, and the stronger the Spirituality, the more potent Magic Power one can harness to realize various effects, allowing for more freedom in appearance, usually aiming to look either beautiful or intimidating.
Female equipnt is either crafted to showcase a graceful silhouette or made more splendid, suitable for mainstream aesthetics.
However, no matter how non-mainstream the aesthetics, no one would think it’s right to encase a petite girl from the Horned Race in a tin can.
The most normal parts of ALulu’s outfit were the greaves and gloves, rely bits of iron clearly bearing marks of pounding, just Tier One Iron Armor after all.
But her leg guards lacked protection above the thigh, only covering the thighs, and harshly speaking could be described as wide tal leg rings. Li Ang guessed that the blacksmiths back in her place simply pieced together existing Chain Armor lacking the craftsmanship to create dedicated protection for her well-endowed parts below the waist.
The most ridiculous was her torso armor; if the leg guards were like that, crafting a chestplate fitting her curves was out of the question.
Crafting chest armor for a Horned Race female has always been challenging, but Li Ang thought it was unacceptable to just cover her with a piece of iron sheet much larger than her body.
The iron armor had no form-fitting parts and would compress her further during movent.
Li Ang saw that the design concept of this upper body armor wasn’t "protection" but rather "concealnt."
Her helt too, was almost designed to cover her face entirely, with poorly-made observation slits, not even leaving holes for her horns. Her horns might be short, but dismissing them would still cause discomfort.
Moreover, wearing the equipnt caused a stifling feeling. When she had the armor on, the heat constantly surrounding the three intensified, with visible sweat seeping from every seam and edge of the armor.
