Chapter 134: Help

Rip had tucked

in so well that I wasn’t able to move my arms, and combined with the fact that the Reaver on top of

was cutting off my air, I was seconds away from a full blown panic attack.

But the Reaver wasn’t happy with such a ’quick’ death for .

"Rip has been a pain in my ass since he first showed up here. I was with Alpha before all this shit happened; I deserve a lot more than whatever the fuck I am being given," sneered the Reaver as he pressed down even harder on my mouth and nose.

I had no idea what he was talking about, the ringing in my ears preventing most of his words from being heard, but it was enough.

Leave it to n to get a woman involved in their petty disputes. He knew he couldn’t take out Rip, so I guess I was the next best thing.

I tried to thrash my head back and forth, tried to get my arms out from under the blankets, but nothing I did was enough to dislodge him.

Instead, he reached just under the blanket to grip my neck in his other hand.

Instead of strangling , he used his leverage to pull

up from under the blankets.

My hands and legs now freed, I tried to kick him, to fight back, but my vision was turning black. I needed Rip to get back here and fast, or else I was going to die.

I gripped the wrist holding my neck in both of mine and leaned back enough that I could reduce the pressure on my mouth and nose. If I could just hold on long enough, Rip would save ... I knew it.

But what ca next completely shocked ...

The second my bare skin touched his, my healing powers kicked in.

But instead of the energy flowing out of , it started flowing out of the Reaver attacking . I could feel his energy rushing into

like a tidal wave, healing

instead of draining .

How was this possible?

I watched in shocked awe as the Reaver, unaware of what was going on, turned pale, the wounds on his face starting to open up and bleed even more as his body stopped healing himself and started to heal

instead.

I could sense the broken bones in my body, long since healed incorrectly, snap and rapidly heal properly. My aching muscles stopped hurting, and I was now able to take in a lungful of air without breaking out into a coughing fit.

The fucker who tried to kill

was actually healing ...

I smiled down at him, no longer caring that he held

above his head by my throat. This guy could hold

as long as he wanted if he was going to keep feeding

his energy.

It took longer than I thought it would for him to realize that sothing was wrong. He stumbled back a step, trying to let go of my body, but this ti, it was my turn to hold onto him.

He was my al, and my body wasn’t going to let it go any ti soon.

My smile turned maniacal as the predator had beco the prey.

"What?!?" he gasped, and I watched as his body started to beco thinner and thinner within a matter of seconds. "What are you doing to ?"

"I’m not sure," I admitted with a burst of laughter. The energy was phenonal, and I was becoming drunk with the feeling of it coursing through my body... healing whatever it could.

If this was what my patients felt when I healed them, then why would they be so upset with

when I did it? This was the best feeling ever.

I tilted my head back, my laughter coming out faster and stronger as the Reaver collapsed to his knees, and I stood on the ground in front of him.

I stood. For the first ti in four months... I stood.

He weakly tried to remove his wrist from my grasp, but I was becoming too strong for him...

The look of fear on his face was everything that I didn’t know I needed.

I was powerful.

It was at that mont I heard the door open and plates crashing to the floor.

I looked over to see Rip walking into the cabin, a look of pure anger on his face.

"What the fuck is going on?" he growled, his voice soft and threatening as he approached the Reaver like a lion on the attack.

"Stop!" I told him, montarily panicked, that he might stop whatever was going on between

and the other Reaver.

Rip stopped dead, cocking his head to the side, looking at

for the first ti since he entered the cabin.

"Little Bird?" he asked, walking around the Reaver until he was standing beside . He took my chin in his hand and tilted my head up so I was looking at him. "You..."

"He’s feeding ," I gasped, the smile on my face so big it was hurting . "He wanted to kill

to get back at you... and when I touched him skin on skin..."

"You didn’t heal him?" asked Rip, concerned.

"No, the magic flowed the other way... he started healing . I..." Tears filled my eyes as I looked at Rip, refusing to let go of the other Reaver. He still had energy in him, and I was not going to let him go until it was all mine.

Rip’s smile was sothing I had never seen before. It was like sunlight shone in the cabin, letting

soak in its warmth.

"Well, if he is feeding you, I don’t want to interrupt," he chuckled as he went to sit down on the bed. He was close enough to intervene if the Reaver sohow managed to get to his feet, but I didn’t see that happening.

"Help ," gasped the Reaver, turning to look at Rip, a frantic look on his face. "Help ."
