Gu Xiaoxi lay in bed and had Qiao Wan inquire about Chen Lu’s condition.
Chen Lu’s injuries were quite severe, reportedly including a broken arm and a minor concussion.
She was staying in the hospital room next to her own, accompanied by the Chen family mbers.
“Miss,” Qiao Wan worriedly said, “Miss Chen won’t try to scam you, will she? Her injuries are quite severe after all.”
Gu Xiaoxi pulled the covers up over herself—autumn nights were rather cold.
“The traffic police already took evidence; how is she going to scam ? I’m already being lenient by not asking her to compensate for my car.”

“Alright, keep an eye on her for . Let know when she wakes up!” Gu Xiaoxi said and then closed her eyes to sleep.

“So do you want it or not? If not, let it go. It was originally a car I bought for her to drive yesterday morning, but since she crashed yours, I am giving it to you, although she is quite reluctant to part with it.” Quan Shaoqing casually twirled the car keys, as if he would take them back if Gu Xiaoxi didn’t want them!
Gu Xiaoxi put down her phone and stared at the car keys for quite a while. Just as Quan Shaoqing was about to take back the keys, she snatched them away, “Why wouldn’t I want it! This is the compensation you owe for my loss! And while you’re at it, pay for my dical expenses too!”
