Lu Shu rushed to the door of Li Yan’s office to wait for him before she got off work. Not long after she got there, she saw Li Yan and a few colleagues walking out of the office, chatting and laughing.
Lu Shu stared greedily at Li Yan, who was in the middle of the crowd. To be honest, Li Yan’s looks could not be considered outstanding, but he had one special trait. It was a trait that was not particularly eye-catching when placed in a crowd, but made one feel a surge of warmth just by looking at him.
This was the main reason why Lu Shu was attracted to Li Yan, in the first place. After going through her long bouts of viciousness and ice, she would always want to get close to those who gave her so warmth.
Lu Shu stood in the middle of the path. Very quickly, soone discovered her presence, and more and more people noticed her and turned their gazes toward the door.
They were all colleagues from the sa unit, and many of them knew about Lu Shu’s relationship with Li Yan. They quickly understood why Lu Shu was here and started whispering to each other as they stared at the two of them.
Li Yan didn’t notice Lu Shu at first, but as the crowd’s attention took up the entire corridor, he finally realized that sothing was wrong. He turned around and saw Lu Shu, who was smiling brightly at the door. His expression darkened.
The few colleagues surrounding Li Yan also reacted when they saw this. They chuckled and said, “Ah, it’s sister-in-law? Are you here to have dinner with brother Yan? Then we’ll take our leave first. Brother Yan, godspeed.”
After they finished speaking, they did not wait to see Li Yan’s reaction and dispersed in a hubbub. Only Li Yan and Lu Shu were left standing where they were. The atmosphere was a little awkward for a mont.

Li Yan swallowed the second half of his question because he could see the tears on Lu Shu’s face as she slowly raised her head.
Lu Shu sobbed as she said, “Brother Yan, do you not want
anymore?”

Li Yan imdiately panicked when Lu Shu cried. He was not afraid of anything, but he was afraid of seeing a girl cry in front of him. He rushed to Lu Shu and said, “Lu Shu, don’t cry. Don’t cry.”
Lu Shu took this opportunity. She grabbed Li Yan’s arm. “Brother Yan, I know you don’t like , and you don’t like my family background. You don’t like

Lu Shu’s eyes widened in disbelief when she saw this. She could not believe that Li Yan would still insist on leaving her and refuse to stay by her side, even after she had done so much.

Li Yan turned his face away, not daring to et Lu Shu’s eyes. He said hoarsely, “I’m sorry. I heard everything you just said, and I know that you love
very much.”

Before Lu Shu could finish, Li Yan interrupted her. “I’m sorry. I still don’t think we’re suitable for each other.”
