“Uncle? Nie Yunfan gulped with difficulty as he called Nie Xingzhi tentatively. In return, Nie Xingzhi gave him a cold stare.

“Go to the Zhao family’s main residence.”

Nie Yunfan was stunned. He thought that he had misheard his words. “Huh?”

“Are you deaf? I said go to the Zhao family’s main residence now! I an right now! Without further ado!” Nie Xingzhi’s unusually angry look had terrified Nie Yunfan so much that he almost curled up into a ball. He no longer bothered to care about others, including the cussing behind his car. He imdiately

made a turn and drove toward the Zhao family’s main residence.

At that mont, An Yue still had no idea that soone was rushing over to her place imdiately after getting off the plane without even going back to his ho. An Yue was happily receiving Zhao Youlin and her family’s arrival.

Ever since Duan Yarong discovered An Yue’s accident and was admitted to the hospital, An Yue had been in a semi-grounded state. She was not permitted to leave the house except for a stroll nearby the Zhao family’s main residence.

Despite the fact that the Zhao family’s main residence compound was the size of a garden, An Yue beca bored after several strolls.

She always stayed at ho, and the only fun she had every week was when Zhao Youlin took Joy over to the Zhao family’s main residence, only then did she get to play with Joy. How pathetic she was!

“Thankfully, you ca to see . Otherwise, I feel like I’m turning into a statue after staying inside the house for the whole day,” An Yue grumbled softly as she cradled Joy in her arms.

Zhao Youlin and the rest of her groups exchanged glances. They did not say anything.

Joy, on the other hand, widened his large eyes as he curiously stared at An Yue’s belly that had begun to form so shape. He cried out, ‘Aunt An Yue, you’ve gained weight!”

“Pfft… Zhao Youlin and the rest of her group were taken aback for a brief mont before they let out a bark of laughter.

Joy looked at the adults who were laughing happily with a bewildered face. He did not understand where he had spoken wrongly, making them laugh so hard.

An Yue was stunned before she looked down at her small baby bump. She did not know whether she should laugh or cry. She stretched out her hand and touched the slightly protruding shape of her belly. She smiled as she said, “I didn’t gain weight. It’s the little baby inside my tummy who is growing bigger,

causing my belly to expand.”

“The baby is causing your belly to expand, huh?” Joy stared at An Yue’s belly in a daze. The next mont, he looked like he had been enlightened. He widened his large eyes and exclaid in amusent, “Aunt An Yue, when the baby inside your tummy grows, will it beco like Aunt Su Qing’s baby so that

when I touch it, the baby will also respond to ?”

‘When An Yue heard what Joy said, she shook her head regretfully. “My baby is still very young. It still couldn’t respond to you. You have to wait for one or two months. When the baby grows older, I’ll let the baby greet you, okay?”

Joy quickly gave a nod. He stared at An Yue belly curiously. He wondered when her baby would grow up and greet him.

‘When the adults by the side were greeted by such a sight, faint smiles unwittingly arched across their lips.

“Joy, co and eat the buns that Aunt An Qi has baked for you.”

Ever since An Yue married Han Yichen, An Qis status had also improved. She was addressed as Aunt An Qi instead of Sister An Qi.

‘When Joy An Qi ca out with the freshly baked butter buns from the kitchen, his eyes imdiately lit up.

An Qi often paid a visit to the Zhao family’s main residence because of An Yue. Furthermore, she got along well with Duan Yarong and so, she often invited An Qi to gather at her house.

With the passage of ti, a majority of the Zhao family’s servants recognized An Qi. Ever since Duan Yarong learned that An Qi and An Yue were both skillful at baking pastries, Duan Yarong occasionally invited her to explore so tasty desserts that were appealing to the children together.

Today was no exception. An Qi’s buns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The type of dessert that was most popular among both adults and children.

The mont An Qi placed the tray on the table, Joy, who was still touching An Yue’s belly, imdiately let go of his hand and rested his chin on the edge of the table. He stared wide-eyed at the tempting buns and swallowed his saliva.

It took him so ti before he reluctantly looked away from the buns and stared at Zhao Youlin pitifully, *Mommy..”

Given the fact that her son was still able to resist the temptation of good food to seek her approval, Zhao Youlin was very satisfied with her son. “Yes, you can. But, you could only take two. We’re going to have lunch in a while. If you eat too much, you won’t have an appetite for lunch later.”

Joy hurriedly gave a nod. He quickly reached out for the buns on the table and stuffed the buns into his mouth, as if he was afraid that Zhao Youlin would take back her words.

While Joy was stuffing the buns, he stuttered at An Qi, “Aunt An Qi, they are very tasty.”

‘Joy, eat slowly. There are still a lot over here. No one is going to fight with you.” An Qi was very happy that her food was pleasing to the child when she saw Joy swallowing the buns like a hungry wolf. However, she was also worried that Joy would choke if he ate so fast.

Just when the adults and child were having fun, Uncle Zhao abruptly rushed in from outside and bowed at them with a solemn expression. “Eldest lady, Young Master, I’m sorry for the interruption. There are two Mister Nie outside who ca to pay a visit to the young master and madam. Look.”

“Two Mister Nie?” Zhao Youlin and Han Yichen exchanged glances. They saw a trace of surprise in each other’s eyes.

They were not surprised if Nie Yunfan had co over to their house. However, aside from him, who else could be the other Mister Nie?

“Let them in.” Han Yichen hesitated for a while before he decided to let the people co in. However, this would be a decision that he would regret for a very long ti later.

Not long after Uncle Zhao told them, the crowd was soon aware of the identity of the other Mister Nie apart from Nie Yunfan.

Nie Xingzhi did not care even though Nie Yunfan tried to stop him in a flurry of motion. He quickly went over to An Yue under the crowd’s surprising and pondering stare. He sized An Yue up until An Yue felt goosebumps all over her body. She reflexively took a few steps back and hid behind Han Yichen to

seek his protection.

‘The crowd was taken aback when they were greeted by Nie Xingzhi’s sudden action. Zhao Youlin and Mu Tingfeng exchanged glances before they cast a questioning glance at Nie Yunfan, who was following closely behind Nie Xingzhi, in unison.

The corners of Nie Yunfan’s lips twitched and gave an innocent look. He also wondered why his uncle had behaved so abnormally all of a sudden!

Han Yichen received An Yue’s hint from her gaze. He narrowed his eyes and quickly went up to An Yuess side and discreetly engulfed her in his embrace to block Nie Xingzhi’’s gaze. He then asked Nie Xingzhi in a polite but aloof manner, “Uncle Nie…

Nie Xingzhi ignored him. He stared at An Yue before he asked with concern, “Are.. you alright?”

The crowd thought to themselves. ‘Could anyone tell us what is going on now?”

An Yue was struck dumb upon facing Nie Xingzhi’s question. She opened her mouth but did not know how to answer him. She hunched like an ostrich in Han Yichen’s arms.

Nie Xingzhi’s expression darkened when An Yue did not respond to him after so ti… He then straight away vented out his anger at Han Yichen and scolded, “Are you even her husband? How can you fail to protect your own wife and child? Do you even consider yourself a man?”
