Chapter 356: First Sign of Conflict (1)

“A surprise?” The forr master cocked one of his eyebrows. Zhao Youlin’s words seed to have piqued his interest.

However, at that ti, Zhao Youlin did not intend to explain so much to him. Regardless of whether there was a surprise for them, they naturally would know by the ti Han Yichen returned. Now, she was only making the speculation on her own.

The forr master clearly had thought of this. As such, he did not explain much on that issue. He repeatedly instructed Zhao Youlin, “Youlin, when my eldest grandson cos back, you must inform

first.”

“I got it, I got it.” Zhao Youlin also knew how desperate the forr master wanted to see Han Yichen now. She responded to him patiently, “But, don’t let my parents know about him first. It’s not too late to inform them about him when he cos back so that they don’t have to worry about him during this period of ti.”

The forr master nodded his head. He also knew that he was already getting too excited for his old heart. If the two were to learn about him at this mont, they would be worrying about this matter for the remaining half of the month and be suffering for nothing.

The forr master was relieved after he was given assurance that his newly found grandson would appear after half of a month. By then, he would et up with him. Just then, he began to wonder about his granddaughter-in-law whom Zhao Youlin had ntioned.

“Youlin, regarding the girl that you ntioned just now, what does she look like? How is her family’s background? Are there any other relatives in her family? Urm… Fine, all these are the least important. What matters most is, how is her character?”

The forr master’s series of questions were too much for Zhao Youlin. She shouted at him, “Grandpa, enough! Are you conducting a survey about her family mbers? You’ve even asking about the girl’s character! Do you think I would pick soone with a poor character and let her work in my outlet? Don’t get so worried about this. Or, do you plan to sneak over and take a look at your so-called granddaughter-in-law to be, and if she’s not to your liking, are you going to kick her out and find another one who is of similar status to my elder brother?”

Upon hearing Zhao Youlin’s words, the forr master denied her. “My dear eldest granddaughter, how could you say that? Do I look so rigid in your heart?”

“Maybe.”

The forr master was choked and rendered speechless. He was instantly pissed off. How could this child be so disrespectful of him?! Did she plan to piss him off to death?!

Zhao Youlin simply did not bother to acknowledge the forr master’s glare. She crossed her arms and snorted smugly, “Grandpa, let

tell you this first, even though Xiao Yue is an orphan without any dependent, is not from a privileged background nor is filthy rich herself, you have to count your eldest son, whom you have not been able to get back yet, on her. If you go there and scare her off, by the ti my elder brother gets back and can’t find his loved one, out of rage, he might not even want to take you all up as his family mbers, much less target a new wife for him.”

The forr master’s face turned ghastly pale. He widened his eyes, gritted his teeth and stared at Zhao Youlin. After so ti, he said in an aggrieved manner like an inflated balloon, “I was just worried that my eldest grandson, whom I have not been able to get back yet, would be reeled in by so ill-intentioned people.”

Upon hearing the forr master’s words, Zhao Youlin quirked one of her eyebrows. “Ill-intentioned people?”

When Zhao Youlin cast a glance at him, he looked even more discouraged. “Fine, I feel a little resigned about the fact that my eldest grandson, whom I have not been getting close with, would belong to another family very soon.”

“Belong to another family?” The corners of Zhao Youlin’s lips unwittingly twitched. “What do you an by belonging to another family? Even if Elder Brother were to be together with An Yue, she would be married into our family and be your granddaughter-in-law, why would he beco soone else’s instead?”

The forr master’s expression turned stiff. He was enlightened and said, “That seems to be the case.”

‘Grandpa, were you thinking of marrying your granddaughter off?!’

Zhao Youlin felt an incredible headache and held her forehead. She said in resignation, “No matter how, if you want to get back your grandson soon, you should not be so nosey and butt in their business.”

The forr master was stunned. The next mont, he grinned as he said, “Youlin, how about you take those girls from your outlet to our ho and be our guests one day? I’ve always heard from Joy ntioning the good skills of the girls in your outlet. I have long wanted to see what the girls that Joy talked about would look like. So, this would be a good opportunity to take a look at them. Of course, it would be good if they could bring along so things they make with them.”

Zhao Youlin raised one of her eyebrows and smirked, “Grandpa, I’m afraid that seeing the girls whom Joy has talked about are all lies. In fact, you only want to see your future granddaughter-in-law, right?”

Since the forr master’s plan was exposed, he might as well reveal his true intentions, “I’m just curious. If you are so reluctant to bring her to , I’ll go to your outlet and take a look by myself.”

“No way!” Before the forr master finished speaking, Zhao Youlin had already denied his intention with unparalleled determination.

The forr master’s eyes were wide open. “Why not?”

“You would scare them.” Zhao Youlin said the words with absolute certainty.

Zhao Youlin had never told the staff in her outlet about her true identity. Even today, the staff had always thought she was only an ordinary citizen in the city.

If the forr master were to go there, he would definitely put on a show and make a scene. By that ti, would her identity not be exposed?

Even though the Zhao family was not as well-known as the four greatest families and the Mu family in Shalnork, they were at least ranked as one of the great families in the business arena in Shalnork as well as Zelford.

Although such glory was enviable by most people, it served as a superfluous burden to An Yue and her elder sister, especially to An Yue.

Zhao Youlin was truly worried that the forr master would scare the young lady off. After all, An Yue was not only timid, but she also had a… low self-esteem.

“No matter how, I wouldn’t allow you to simply look for her in my outlet, Grandpa. Otherwise, I would find ways to hide them so that you couldn’t find them. I would not only hide your granddaughter-in-law, but also your incoming eldest grandson!”

Zhao Youlin’s words were no different from threatening remarks. The forr master’s expression imdiately darkened. He glared at her. Those ancient eyes — which had beco that way because he had gained rich experience in his life were filled with unhappiness and sulkiness.

If the others saw him in his current state, they would have been so intimidated that they dared not look up at him. However, Zhao Youlin returned his glare fearlessly. She did not intend to compromise herself in this matter.

The atmosphere was filled with hostility as the grandfather and grandchild fought with each other by locking gazes. None of them was willing to back down.

After so ti, in the end, the forr master was the first one who shifted his gaze. He sneered.

The corners of Zhao Youlin’s lips slightly curled upward. She comforted a certain elder, who started to get upset, calmly, “Grandpa, why do you have to be like this? You haven’t even got back your grandson, why do you have to be so anxious to et your future granddaughter-in-law? If you want to see her, you should let Elder Brother personally bring her back to you all in the future. If you go and et your future granddaughter-in-law all of a sudden and in such a hurry, the outsiders would certainly burst into laughter, thinking that you are worried about your grandson not getting a wife!”
