Chapter 187: Inside information of the elevator incident (1)

The incident related to Zhao Yifei was concluded hastily in such an unexpected way in the end, after which Sun Fengzi and her husband never ca to see Zhao Youlin again.

Zhao Youlin was actually a little surprised by how things turned out. She had thought that even if Sun Fengzi did not dare to confront her due to her fear of Mu Tingfeng, she would try to annoy her from the shadows.

But a few days had passed, and Sun Fengzi actually did not do anything at all! Sothing was wrong. Sothing was definitely wrong!

However, soon Zhao Youlin found out the reason why Sun Fengzi did not even dare to attempt any shenanigans, it was because the old man had found out about this matter.

To put it mildly, Zhao Yifei’s dishonorable intention to Zhao Youlin was just out of lust and impulse; at worst, it was a family scandal.

The old master was furious when he learned of this. He imdiately asked Sun Fengzi and her husband over to give them an earful.

After being pressured by Mu Tingfeng and the old master one after another, in spite of her resentnt, Sun Fengzi did not have the guts to pull any tricks on Zhao Youlin and make herself a target at tis like this.

Therefore, she had no choice but to swallow it for now and let it go.

When Zhao Youlin found out the whole story, she felt a little grateful to the old man, but unfortunately, her gratitude was soon washed away by the old master’s gossipy nature.

“Hi, Lass. You’re back. Co here, co here!” One day, when Zhao Youlin ca back from the company, as soon as she stepped into the house, she heard the old master’s enthusiastic shout.

Looking at the old master smiling like a blooming flower, Zhao Youlin only felt chills crawling up her spine. She had a bad feeling about this.

She walked over at a snail’s pace and sat beside the old master. Zhao Youlin asked in an incredibly cold manner. “Grandpa, is there sothing wrong?”

The smile on the old master’s face dropped a little and he glared at Zhao Youlin with dissatisfaction. “Nothing. What? I can only talk to you when there’s sothing wrong?”

Other people might be afraid of the old master’s feigned seriousness, but Zhao Youlin did not care at all. She lazily got up and said, “If you have nothing else to say, I’ll go and rest first. It’s been a busy day, I’m really tired.”

“No, no, no.” When the old master saw that Zhao Youlin was going to leave, he dropped his act imdiately. He got up in a panic and tried to pull Zhao Youlin’s hand, but he nearly strained his back as he used too much force all of sudden.

“Ouch…”

Zhao Youlin was startled when she heard the old master’s cry of pain. Although she said that she liked to talk back to this old man, after spending so many days together, Zhao Youlin had actually already accepted this sowhat childish grandfather.

Seeing he seed like he was in great pain, before she could think about it, she walked forward to support the old master while muttering, “You should know how old you are. Do you think you’re as young and strong as a 17 or 18-year-old boy? Where are you hurt? Do you want to go to the hospital? Should I ask Uncle Zhao to call a doctor?”

The old master sat down on the sofa to relieve the pain. Then, he perked up imdiately and said, “No, no. I’m fine! I just got up a little too fast. Anyway, this is your fault. If you hadn’t suddenly said you wanted to leave, would I have strained my back? You’re trying to get away from . Why are you trying to get away so fast? Are you that reluctant to talk to ?”

Looking at the old master flaring his nostrils and having that “it’s-all-your-fault” look on his like a pompous old man, Zhao Youlin rolled her eyes speechlessly. After she made sure that he was fine, she pulled away and tried to leave.

This ti, the old master would not let her leave just like that. He grabbed her arm quickly and bellowed lowly, “You’re not leaving.”

“What?” Zhao Youlin glanced at the old master nonchalantly.

The old master, who was domineering and intimidating just a minute ago, transford into a groveling big cat. He smiled flatteringly and said, “Alright. I have sothing to say. Sit down first. Sit down first and we can talk!”

Only then did Zhao Youlin nod in satisfaction. She pulled her hand out and sat back in the seat opposite the old master. Then, she said in a casual tone, “Make it quick. What’s it you want to talk about?”

“…” Is there any other pathetic grandfather in the world who could be more powerless than him?

The old master thought about it in frustration for a mont before he sat back in his original seat. His eyes lit up gossipily as he asked in a curious manner, “I heard that when the elevator malfunctioned, you and that boy from the Mu family were in it. Just you and him? Just you two?”

Zhao Youlin’s hand, which was holding the teacup, paused abruptly. She looked up and glared at the old master. She smiled faintly and said, “Grandpa, what exactly do you want to talk about?”

Being glared at by Zhao Youlin like this, the old master felt that his intention was seen through. He took a sip of tea awkwardly to get over the shock before he finally harmlessly breezed over his true intention, “I an, I’m a little curious about what happened inside the elevator between you and him. I heard that after coming out of the elevator, you took that boy from the Mu family to your office. And soon after that, there is even news that you two are going to get remarried.”

What the old master said was specious. The corner of Zhao Youlin’s eyes cocked slightly. She looked teasingly into the old master’s eyes that were full of anticipation and mocked, “In that kind of life and death situation, the kind which we could die at any ti, what do you think can happen? Or did you expect sothing to happen between us there, Grandpa?”

The old master was choked. He let out a cough and muttered, “I heard Yarong said you two happened to be kissing each other when the elevator door was opened, that’s why I…”

Zhao Youlin suddenly did not know whether she should cry or laugh. How could there be such an old man who doesn’t act his age? Doesn’t he feel embarrassed to gossip about things like this? Didn’t they say old people are usually more conservative when it cos to things like this? How co this one in her family is completely opposite?

“Grandpa, are you too idle at ho? You’re prying about things like this. Also, Grandpa, didn’t you oppose

and Mu Tingfeng getting involved again before? How co now you are… Most importantly, about Mu Tingfeng’s offer about our remarriage, you don’t seem surprised at all.

Could this old man here be doing sothing secretly behind her back? Zhao Youlin’s eyes were austere. The more she thought about it, the more she felt that given this old man’s nature, it was highly possible!

The old master naturally heard the suspicious tone in Zhao Youlin’s words. He chuckled and said, “That was then. It was you who kept pestering him before, which didn’t look good for you. But it’s different now. It’s him who keeps pestering you. Your roles are reversed. The person who played a decisive role before was him, and now the person who plays a decisive role is you.”

Zhou Youlin’s eyes narrowed instantly when she heard this. A trace of guile surfaced beneath her eyes.

She was just wondering why would this old man here suddenly care about her love life. It turned out that he was just trying to find out if she still had feelings for Mu Tingfeng.

The realization frustrated Zhao Youlin. Darn it. Why would everyone assu that as long as that man turns around to look at her, she would throw herself at him again stupidly?

How cheap the Zhao Youlin was to make everyone perceive the sa illusion! She felt extrely…irritated!
