Ivana didn’t cause trouble for the bartender. On the pretext of going to the restroom to handle the spill on her clothes, she escaped the two n arguing over her.
Ivana had just left.
Howard caught Leon watching her leave and raised an eyebrow, "Are you serious this ti?"
Leon withdrew his gaze, frowning, "No, it’s fake."
Howard didn’t believe him: "Fake and yet so earnest? Can’t even joke about it? Leon, you weren’t like this before."
In the past, when Leon took a female companion out, Howard joked around, and Leon wouldn’t get angry. There was even a ti when Howard deliberately said he wanted to be with Leon’s female companion to test him, and Leon acted unconcerned.
Today, he rely glanced at this woman a couple more tis, and Leon got angry as if guarding a precious treasure, not allowing him even a second glance, and still claims he’s not serious?
Leon’s handso face turned stern. Was he serious? It must be Howard’s eyesight that’s faulty!
Ivana doesn’t care for him, and he might not care for Ivana either. He’s just spending ti with Ivana to regain custody of his son.
Besides, this ti Ivana was the one who took the initiative to find him to be his companion.
He never sought Ivana out; he even let Derrick choose a companion for him, but Ivana insisted on being his companion.
Seeing Ivana as the mother of his two children, he agreed.
Howard noticed Leon pursing his thin lips, unwilling to say more, his almond-shaped eyes flashing slyly as he teased, "It’s fine if you don’t admit it. You say it’s fake, I’ll treat it as fake then, and I’ll wait for you to ditch her."
Leon’s handso face beca icy, radiating coldness, "If I ditch her, you can’t pursue her either."
Howard reacted with shock, "Why?"
Leon replied in a deep voice, "Because she’s the biological mother of my two sons."
Howard was dumbfounded.
What? Did he hear wrong? This twist in the plot is too big; his mind can’t keep pace with Leon’s rhythm.
They even have sons, two of them, and Leon still says it’s fake?
How can fake yield two real sons?
...
As Ivana just walked into the won’s restroom, a shadow followed quickly, locking the door behind them. Startled by the noise behind her, Ivana turned around and was shocked to see the man locking the door.
"Zachary?"
"You’re really sothing, back in the country only for a short while and you’ve hooked up with Leon already?" Zachary, with a handso face, was very angry at this mont, walking quickly toward Ivana, seeing her retreat in defense.
Zachary grew angrier, reaching to grab Ivana as she tried to escape, blocking her against the high-end marble washbasin.
"Zachary, what are you trying to do? Let go." Ivana struggled fiercely. Right now, she realized that the man she once loved deeply, she couldn’t tolerate him even touching her slightly, both physically and ntally, developing an extre aversion and repulsion.
He sneered at her, "Do what? Fulfill the marital duties you didn’t complete six years ago."
She was once his wife, rightfully his, why should Leon benefit?
Ivana thought she must have misheard. How could Zachary say such shaless words?
"Zachary, don’t forget we divorced six years ago. We have no relation now. If you dare touch , I’ll sue you, and you’ll be sentenced to prison."
"Heh... Ivana, still acting noble in front of , are you? You cling to Leon and don’t feel ashad? Your body filthy? I’m not despising you; you should be grateful, comparing who’s better between Leon and ?"
Zachary pushed his luck.
Ivana was taken aback, and without thinking, she raised her high-heeled shoe to fiercely kick Zachary.
Zachary felt the pain and released Ivana.
Ivana slid off the washbasin, landing unsteadily on the floor, her legs trembling. She mustered her strength, clattering as she ran to open the restroom door.
Zachary suddenly blocked the restroom door with his body, his expression twisted into a snarl, "Ivana, you tramp, with Leon already, you despise your ex-husband now?"
"Don’t think Leon will genuinely care for you; the won around him change every three months. You’re rely his plaything!"
Ivana’s back hit the hard tiles, making her gasp in pain as she heard Zachary spewing words akin to a shaless rogue. She felt no fear, just intense disgust at the notion.
Zachary was utterly revolting.
She must’ve been blind before to fall for this hypocrite.
"Help... help ..." Ivana scread for rescue.
Zachary sharply covered her mouth with his hand, smirking viciously, "Don’t call out. No one will co to save you at this sort of banquet."
"Including Leon, he’s probably in a pile of won right now, with other won, and has no ti to save you?"
Jealous, extrely jealous, ntioning Leon made Zachary feel as if a knife had pierced his heart, causing unbearable pain. He suddenly realized he cared for this woman a lot.
But intense jealousy uglified him, prompting him to utter vulgar words to sha Ivana. It’s all Ivana’s fault; her love for him lacked steadfastness, and now she’s looking elsewhere.
No man can tolerate this.
Outside the won’s restroom.
Two glamorously dressed won were eavesdropping.
"Michelle, is it really your fiancé?" It was too unbelievable; Pearl’s eyes widened in astonishnt. Zachary, back then, was a campus star, every schoolgirl’s heartthrob, including Pearl herself.
