Jade Yeats visited Ivy Linden’s ho again to check on Ivy and Nicole, her brows tightly furrowed.
"Why are you in my sister-in-law’s house?"
"Isn’t it all because of you? You left uncared for in the hospital, so I had to be discharged. Ivy is my neighbor, and now that I’m like this, what’s wrong with asking for help from a neighbor?" Chantel hated Jade Yeats to death; if it weren’t for this woman, would she have needed to be discharged the sa day?
Just having surgery, God knows how weak she was; getting ho nearly sent her life packing.
Glaring at Jade, Chantel said sarcastically, "It’s really weird how soone as nice as Ivy could have a cold-blooded sister-in-law like you."
Jade snorted, "My sister-in-law is indeed kind-hearted, and it’s exactly because of her kindness that she’s being exploited by a despicable neighbor like you."
Chantel was infuriated, her face turning red. Who’s despicable and shaless? If it weren’t for her being a model, having gained so fa, would she need to be so cautious? You really think Ivy Linden’s house is all that? If it weren’t for the special circumstances now, she’d rather not stay!
She was on her way to international stardom; Ivy Linden was just an ordinary local with a child. It would be Ivy’s privilege to take care of her during hard tis.
"Who’s exploiting her? Do you even know who I am? I’m about to beco a very famous model..."
"Haha, about to ans not yet, really think you’re sothing?"
"What did you say?"
Chantel glared angrily at Jade.
"You’re not deaf, are you? You heard what I said, didn’t you?"
"You..."
"Jade, what’s going on?"
Ivy walked in holding Nicole; she’d heard Chantel and Jade arguing from outside and ca in to see what was up.
"Sister-in-law, how could you let her stay here?"
Jade was very much against Chantel. Ivy was pregnant now, also had Nicole to look after, how could she take care of Chantel? Is this woman blind, or did she co on purpose to trouble Ivy?
Ivy’s expression showed difficulty; she didn’t want Chantel to move in either! But after Jade left yesterday, by nightfall, soone knocked at the door. Upon opening, she discovered it was Chantel, insisting on staying at her house. Ivy didn’t want to let her in, and Chantel just "fainted" at her doorstep. What could she do? It was chilly at night, and Chantel had just had surgery—if anything happened at her door, she’d be dood!
Dood she didn’t fear, but she did fear if dia reporters ca to cover the incident, she’d be exposed! What if Howard Yeats ca looking?
"Auntie Yeats, it wasn’t Mom who let her in, it was her staying at our door last night, and Mom had no choice but to let her in."
Nicole disliked Chantel, and without waiting for Ivy’s response, she shared what happened yesterday with Jade.
Chantel was so furious she nearly cursed Nicole as a "damn child."
Jade’s lips twitched, "So people really have no sha!"
Chantel didn’t snap back this ti, holding her anger inside; was this woman really that disgusted by her? Fine, she’d stay here and let Ivy take care of her, piss this woman off.
Seeing Chantel close her eyes with an attitude of a shaless regretless pig, Jade nodded, "Won’t leave, huh? Fine, starve here then!"
Jade turned to Ivy and said, "Sister-in-law, I’ve found you a new place to live, let’s move now."
"Wow ~ Auntie Yeats, you’re amazing."
Nicole cheered excitedly.
Jade smiled tenderly at Nicole.
Ivy hesitated for a mont, which made Jade nervous, was she really reluctant because of this shaless woman?
"Jade, did you get back the money you paid for her?"
Jade suddenly laughed, thinking her sister-in-law was worried about Chantel, but it turns out she was concerned about her money.
"No worries, if she doesn’t repay in three days, I’ll sue her and notify the dia that there’s a wannabe famous model who got a boob job on borrowed money, and wouldn’t pay it back, trying to be a delinquent."
Chantel suddenly opened her eyes and snapped, "You wouldn’t dare."
"Wanna see dare?"
"You dare, you’re finished, I’m telling you, I have backing."
"Oh wow! I’m so scared! Who’s your divine backing? Can they call the shots in Ravenswood? Haha..."
"My backing is Howard Yeats." Chantel didn’t think twice, using Howard Yeats as a scare tactic; he was the most powerful man she knew, although he kicked her out last ti, it wouldn’t stop her from using his na for intimidation.
People like Jade and Ivy wouldn’t get the chance to mingle with soone like Howard Yeats.
Poof~
If Jade had tea in her mouth at the mont, she would’ve definitely spit it out.
Her brother?
"Are you nuts? My brother is your backing?" After cursing Chantel, Jade turned to Ivy, "Sister-in-law, don’t misunderstand, I assure you, my brother has absolutely nothing to do with this woman. This woman is thick-skinned, using my brother to scam people!"
Ivy didn’t say anything, her eyes dimd; after she ran away, what right did she have to interfere in Howard Yeats’ private life? Even if what Chantel said was true, she had no reason to bla him.
Chantel thought Jade was the one acting crazy; she was just boosting that Howard Yeats was her backing, but Jade went further, bragging that Howard Yeats was her brother.
"I think you’re the lunatic. If Howard Yeats is your brother, then he’s my husband." Chantel took out her phone, showing a phonebook entry, marked "Howard Yeats," to Jade and Ivy, boasting, "Honestly, Howard and I were introduced through friends, he fell for at first sight, we’re already together; you better serve well during this ti."
"Or else... once I’m better, I’ll tell Howard you bullied . Believe , given Howard’s power in Ravenswood, making two people disappear unnoticed would be a piece of cake."
Jade pointed to herself, then at Ivy, "You’re saying my brother would... kill and my sister-in-law for you?"
Nicole suddenly interjected, "Uncle Howard wouldn’t do that; Uncle Howard is the nicest uncle in the world."
Jade retorted, "Your brain is full of nonsense; let help you clear it up."
"Hey, what are you doing? Why are you stealing my phone?"
Chantel’s phone was snatched by Jade, who walked over, Chantel gasped in shock, rising to seize back her phone, but suddenly her chest throbbed, tearing at her wound, it hurt so much her tears nearly fell, unable to stop Jade from dialing.
Howard Yeats’ number wouldn’t connect, but Jade knew it was her brother’s number, it wouldn’t connect, showing that this woman hadn’t gotten him to save hers.
Jade smirked at Chantel, tossing her phone back, and pulled out hers, "Yours can’t reach my brother, try mine!"
