Shelton Hale walked out of Julia Sinclair’s hospital room and stopped by to see Kyle Sinclair.

"Kyle, how have you been feeling lately?"

Shelton, not aware of what was happening outside, asked cheerfully.

Kyle was sitting on the hospital bed; seeing Shelton enter with a big smile, he said, "Shelton, I’m doing quite well."

Shelton nodded, "If you need anything, just call , I’ll bring it to you. Don’t feel embarrassed; I’m quite familiar with your sister."

In the future, they would be one family; Shelton had to take care of his future brother-in-law.

"Thanks, Shelton."

"Don’t ntion it."

Shelton chatted with Kyle in the room for a while, noticing that Kyle seed distracted, he asked curiously, "Kyle, do you have sothing on your mind? Feel free to tell ."

"No, nothing."

Kyle, not good at lying, looked a bit nervous.

Shelton saw through it imdiately, "Kyle, if you don’t want to say, I won’t pry. I just want to tell you to take things easier, if not for yourself, then for your sister."

Kyle’s life was saved by Julia, just now his condition got a bit better, and he’s already in distress over his body?

Julia was lying in a hospital room at the mont, and Shelton hadn’t told Kyle. He didn’t want Kyle to encounter anything that would worry Julia.

Kyle lowered his gaze and said dully, "I understand, Shelton."

Seeing this, Shelton sighed inwardly but couldn’t say more. Kyle, this big guy, had an odd personality, silent with Jack Quinn, but only superficially polite with him, unwilling to express his thoughts.

Shelton was puzzled, what thod had Jack Quinn used to win over Kyle?

Shelton got up, ready to leave Kyle’s room when soone pushed the door open from outside.

A doctor in a white coat entered, looking agitated, as if sothing major had happened.

"I’ve finally found you, Dr. Hale. Sothing terrible has happened at the hospital. Director Quinn was assaulted and suffered a broken hand, Dr. Griffin was stabbed in the arm with scissors, and Dr. Reed was taken away by the police."

Shelton was shocked. How could so much happen in such a short ti?

He couldn’t believe it. Could this be real?

Suddenly, Kyle threw back the covers and got off the bed.

"Kyle, what are you doing?"

Shelton grabbed Kyle’s arm.

Kyle pushed him away forcefully, looking urgent, "I want to see Brother Quinn."

That was quite affectionate, as if Jack Quinn and Kyle were the real family.

Shelton felt a tinge of jealousy. He was bothered by Kyle’s relationship with Jack because Julia doted on Kyle, and Shelton feared Julia might choose Jack because of Kyle’s fondness for him.

Then everything he had done for Julia would be in vain.

Shelton said in a low voice, "Jack is probably in the surgery room now; you can’t go in. Kyle, stay in your room, don’t go anywhere. I’ll check on Jack’s situation and co back to tell you."

The doctor chid in, "Dr. Hale is right. Outsiders can’t enter the operating room, and the surgical team is quite large. Dean Quinn is already on his way after hearing the news."

In other words, Kyle had no way of entering the operating room.

Kyle stayed in the room.

Shelton ran with the doctor to the operating room, where Jack’s surgery wasn’t over yet. The injury was severe, with a dislocated and fractured wrist joint, making the surgery rather challenging.

Shelton, a cardiologist, could only check the ECG, completely unable to help with the orthopedic surgery.

Suddenly.

The operating surgeon halted the surgery, his voice trembling slightly, "Dr. Hale, the difficulty of Director Quinn’s surgery is far more severe than I anticipated. I’m afraid my skills are insufficient to heal his hand. Please make a call to request an orthopedic specialist from the First People’s Hospital imdiately."

Mount Cygnus’s orthopedics gained quite a few opportunities because Leo Griffin competed with the First People’s Hospital’s Dr. Griffin. This made him a popular choice for orthopedic surgeries, leaving fewer opportunities for other doctors.

Now Leo Griffin lay in a hospital bed, writhing in pain, unable to help Jack with the surgery. The other orthopedic surgeons were subpar, needless to say.

Could we bla the doctors? Not really, due to the lack of clinical practice. The slightly difficult surgeries were personally handled by Leo Griffin, who was known for hoarding personal knowledge, leading to their current low skill levels.

Shelton was so angry he wanted to curse. Are you all useless?

Saving Jack’s hand was a priority. Shelton imdiately called the First People’s Hospital, politely saying, "Hello, Director Vasquez? This is Mount Cygnus Hospital. We’d like to request an imdiate orthopedic surgeon from you. It’s a sudden case; Dean Quinn’s son’s wrist is broken and a surgery is underway, but for so reasons, our best orthopedic surgeon can’t operate himself, so we’re stuck with an unprofessional one..."

Shelton rattled off a lot, trying to preserve Mount Cygnus Hospital’s reputation while belittling the current surgeon.

The operating surgeon seethed with anger, ready to doff his coat and say goodbye to Mount Cygnus.

"Thank you so much."

Shelton hung up the phone, his face smug, looking at the surgeon with disdain in his eyes.

"The doctors from First People’s will be here soon; learn from them."

Like a manager, Shelton lectured.

The operating surgeon was boiling inside but said nothing, essentially letting Shelton have his way.

Shelton thought indignantly: Once Jack’s hand is healed, I’ll deal with you. You’re worthless garbage; get out of Mount Cygnus.

"Dean Quinn."

Hurried footsteps ca from outside.

Dean Quinn, looking rather anxious, walked in, and Shelton imdiately turned into a sycophant, getting close to Dean Quinn.

"Dean Quinn, I didn’t expect such significant events at the hospital, but don’t worry, I’ve already contacted First People’s HR to send an orthopedic surgery expert imdiately."

"They are on their way now; I’m sure they’ll be here shortly."

Dean Quinn saw his son lying pale on the bed, wrist deford, incision open, and the doctors halted. His heart ached sharply.

He had already learned the overview over the phone. Seeing the hospital’s poor doctor performance, yet Shelton arranging things so neatly was the only thing that brought him so solace.

"Thank you for your hard work, Shelton."

"It’s no trouble, as it should be."

Shelton almost floated with joy upon hearing Dean Quinn’s praise.

When they were anxiously awaiting the arrival of the First People’s surgeons, the figurative slap in the face ca much quicker than expected.
