Susan Heston sat in the white BMW with eyes red from crying, angrily getting ready to drive to Isaac’s parents’ house.

In the past, whenever her uncle and aunt ntioned Zachary’s ex-wife, they showed nothing but disdain.

Especially after Zachary’s second wedding and the incident with Michelle Monroe.

In the eyes of the Heston family’s relatives, the Monroe family was seen as repulsive as flies, maggots, and excrent.

If she were to tell her uncle and aunt now that Ivana Monroe and Isaac were involved, she was sure their reactions would be quite a spectacle!

Isaac.

You showed no rcy, so I have none.

Don’t bla for telling uncle and aunt about this if you’re willing to help that little bitch Ivana instead of your own cousin.

Susan turned the key and started the car engine.

Suddenly, her phone rang.

Susan didn’t hit the gas but picked up the phone and saw it was Isaac calling.

Susan pouted her red lips and snorted; now he was feeling sorry? Calling to apologize?

Susan believed that he must have been frightened by her parting words and feared she would indeed inform their uncle and aunt, so he was calling specifically to make ands.

She had suffered such grievances, embarrassed herself in front of her idol, Ivana, and everyone else. She wouldn’t easily forgive Isaac.

Unless Isaac humiliated Ivana severely and brought her pri resources to boost her to the top, she might consider forgiving Isaac.

Susan had it all planned out, feeling delighted.

She answered the call and deliberately said angrily, "Isaac, I’m telling you, I’m very angry now with severe consequences. You’d better think carefully before speaking, or I won’t forgive you."

Isaac ignored Susan’s spoiled behavior; he had made up his mind.

Isaac said over the phone, "You won’t be shooting Sean Vaughn’s MV. Sean has already found a suitable replacent."

Susan was stunned, and her phone slipped down.

Susan hurriedly bent to pick up her phone, but Isaac had already hung up. She shakily unlocked the screen and called Isaac back.

The call was connected again.

Susan asked angrily, "For what reason? I’m almost done shooting; why replace now? Even if Sean had soone suitable, he still needs my approval. I don’t agree, and I absolutely won’t. Isaac, you’re my cousin; you should be speaking up for . Is this Sean Vaughn’s idea? Or Director Arnold’s?"

"Isaac, I want you to investigate thoroughly. If it’s Director Arnold’s idea, I want you to fire him and make sure he’ll never survive in the entertainnt industry."

Susan was shaking with rage.

It must be Director Arnold, the one she had spoken ill of in the recording studio, who retaliated out of spite. How could Sean possibly want to replace her? After all, she perford so well in Sean’s MV, only the last segnt wasn’t perfect.

Isaac frowned at Susan’s unreasonable words.

He mocked, "Sean Vaughn’s MV; he decides. Who do you think you are? Disagree? Huh?"

"Heh... I’m your cousin, not your father; why should I listen to you?"

After saying this, Isaac ignored Susan’s sharp cries over the phone and hung up.

When Susan entered the entertainnt industry, she ca to him for good resources. Back then, he told Susan that the entertainnt business wasn’t easy, her acting was poor and temperant conceited; she should focus on minor roles first. Only after improving her skills, she should aim for better roles.

Otherwise, even if he forced good resources onto her, her unremarkable acting wouldn’t get her far.

Susan wouldn’t listen and dragged her parents to complain to his parents, causing Isaac to be scolded by his father. With no choice, he relented and gave Susan so resources.

Even so, Susan squandered those opportunities.

Isaac wouldn’t help her this ti, even if Susan went to their parents to complain. He won’t indulge her anymore; Susan’s self-destruction is no concern for him. With skills like hers, even landing a significant supporting role would be fortunate.

Isaac wouldn’t let his reputation be tarnished by Susan.

In her BMW, Susan cried and cursed, furious to the extre, even kicking her feet, hitting the gas pedal. The BMW lurched forward, crashing into the wall opposite.

Susan was scared half to death.

Fortunately, it was just a single kick, so the BMW didn’t hit too hard, leaving her only startled but uninjured.

Susan began to wail again.

Crying for half an hour.

Her phone rang again.

Susan saw the caller was her good friend... Laura Thompson.

With tear-streaked eyes, she frowned, reluctant to answer, not wanting Laura to hear her embarrassing sobs.

Susan didn’t answer or hang up the call, letting the phone ring, pretending to be busy.

Laura called twice, neither answered, growing anxious and texted Susan: "Susie, call back imdiately when you see this ssage; sothing big has happened, about you."

The phone was in Susan’s hand.

She saw the ssage.

Susan suddenly felt uneasy, thinking to wait a few minutes before returning Laura’s call. But she couldn’t hold out even a minute before dialing back.

Laura answered imdiately.

Susan anxiously asked, "What big thing?"

Laura didn’t imdiately respond but let out a weird laugh over the phone, "Susie, are you my superficial friend? I called you twice, and you didn’t pick up. The mont I say there’s big news, you call right away. What do you an by that?"

Susan was quite annoyed with Laura’s habit of overthinking and putting people in awkward situations.

Why can’t people just be straightforward?

Disgust flashed in Susan’s eyes; she deliberately feigned exhaustion, saying, "Laura, when did I not answer your call? It’s not like you don’t know; I’m filming Sean Vaughn’s MV today, busy until now, okay? Seeing your call, I got back to you without even taking a sip; yet you misunderstand . You’re the real superficial friend!"

Laura laughed heartily over the phone.

Susan frowned, "What are you laughing at?"

Laura chuckled, "Susie, haven’t you seen Sean Vaughn’s social dia?"

Sean Vaughn’s social dia?

Susan suddenly felt uneasy, "I’ll check it now."

Laura quickly said, "Don’t! If you haven’t seen it, I did! I can tell you."

Susan’s face turned pale, not wanting to hear what Laura would say next.

Yet Laura taunted her like a pest, "The female lead of Sean’s MV has been replaced; you’re replaced by Ivana. Susie, you ntioned Ivana as your cousin Zachary’s shaless ex-wife. How did she suddenly beco the lead in Sean’s MV? Could she still resent Zachary and purposely stepped into the entertainnt industry to upstage you?"
