Leon Keane hung up the phone, standing outside the orthopedics office, unable to co back to his senses for a long ti, his mind echoing with the words Special Assistant Stern had just said.
"President Kane, the DNA results are out. It is your own child. Congratulations, the Kanes have another young master."
Although Leon had already guessed that Timmy was his biological son, hearing the paternity test results confird, his heart couldn’t help but tremble fiercely.
It was just like the first ti he saw Ian, the wrinkled little person, wearing a diaper, lying in the incubator. He didn’t know who his mommy was, yet for the first ti, he felt the subtle feeling of being a father.
At this mont, Leon’s mind seed to see another incubator, the little person inside looking exactly like Ian. They were wearing a diaper, just as cute.
Leon Keane’s thin lips lifted into a doting smile. Seeing Ivana Monroe walking out on her tiptoes, the smile on his face disappeared, his handso face instantly turning cold as he stepped forward and wrapped an arm around her waist, about to lift her up.
Ivana Monroe took a step back, her injured ankle bearing weight, causing cold sweat to bead on her pale face.
"Being stubborn."
Leon wanted to knock on her forehead, telling her not to be forgetful, but seeing her pale face, he couldn’t bring himself to do it.
Ignoring her resistance, Leon forced her into his arms: "I’ll take you back."
Ivana frowned, her small hand pounding on his chest: "Leon Keane, put down. I have legs; I can walk back myself."
His suit carried the scent of a woman’s perfu, left behind when Loraine Mcgee hugged his arm just now.
Ivana wanted to get down, not out of pretentiousness, but because a handso and wealthy bachelor like Leon Keane couldn’t possibly be without won outside, and Loraine Mcgee might just be one of them.
As a mother, Ivana didn’t want to get too close to a playboy like Leon Keane.
Leon didn’t know what Ivana was thinking. He carried her to pay and collect the dicine, drawing envy from several won who had co to the hospital alone, and a few young girls who were sick but whose boyfriends hadn’t accompanied them or even called.
"Look, how good her boyfriend is! So handso and considerate. Last ti I broke my leg, my boyfriend said he had to work and couldn’t take leave, told to call my dad to take to the hospital."
"Ugh, that’s disgusting? What a scumbag, why not break up instead of staying together for the holiday?"
"Break up? I want to, but he asked for a breakup fee, saying I ruined his youth and demanded a hundred thousand dollars as compensation."
"Why doesn’t he just go rob soone? Scumbag."
Ivana heard the two girls behind her in line for dicine ask about Leon Keane as her boyfriend, her delicate face reddened slightly, and when one of the girls complained about her boyfriend, she frowned and imdiately thought of Zachary Heston.
Six years ago, when she was pregnant with Timmy, she was almost killed with him because of Zachary Heston’s betrayal and heartlessness.
As Ivana recalled that scene, she couldn’t stop trembling all over. She really regretted being blind back then to have fallen in love with such a scumbag as Zachary Heston.
Leon Keane noticed sothing wrong with Ivana, his dark eyes sweeping down to see the fear in her eyes, and it startled him.
What on earth happened to her? To scare her like this?
Leon felt like a heavy stone was pressing on his heart, an uncomfortable feeling. His dark eyes narrowed dangerously, and he thought of Ian and Timmy, both born prematurely.
Suddenly, he wanted to know what happened to Ivana back then?
That left her with such fearful eyes? His two sons, both ca into this world prematurely?

At the GK office.
Katherine had just received a phone call from Mrs. Vance, who unleashed a tirade on her, making Katherine wish she could curse Mrs. Vance’s ancestors.
Ivana Monroe didn’t go, what did it have to do with her?
Katherine swallowed her resentnt and apologized, saying she would call Ivana right away to ask her what was going on.
Mrs. Vance, furious, said, "No need! Who does she think she is? No concept of ti at all. Does she expect to wait at ho for her? I’m out now. Tomorrow she’ll wait for at the company, and she better not go anywhere. I will see her in person to find out just how audacious she is."
After speaking, Mrs. Vance slamd the phone onto the table with a bang.
Katherine didn’t get a chance to gloat before her ear was subjected to a jarring sound from the phone, indicating the other party had ended the call.
Clutching her ear, Katherine cursed, "Mrs. Vance, you wicked old bat, almost made deaf. Wicked old bat, if you have the guts, take the phone and smash it in Ivana’s face tomorrow. I’ll applaud you."
A mont later.
Katherine called Ivana, planning to question her and vent Mrs. Vance’s anger at Ivana.
The phone connected.
Just as Katherine was about to erupt, a deep male voice ca from the phone: "What is it?"
Katherine was dumbfounded. The voice was so magnetic, just the kind she liked. She affected a sweet voice: "Huh? Isn’t this Ivana’s number? How co it’s you, sir?"
Katherine deliberately wanted to delay, to chit-chat with the man on the phone.
With such a deep and magnetic voice, the person must be handso, perhaps even like the domineering CEO seen on TV.
Katherine suddenly rembered she seed to have heard the man’s voice on television, excitent bubbling through her, her blood boiling. Was her luck real, calling and getting a major CEO or a big star?
"Give back the phone."
Ivana’s voice suddenly broke the magical mont for Katherine.
Ivana snatched the phone back, glaring at Leon Keane: "Who allowed you to answer my phone? Leon Keane, can’t you be less domineering?"
Katherine’s mind went blank. Leon...Leon Keane...the most distinguished man in Ravenswood?
That bitch Ivana, she and President Kane are worlds apart, like heaven and earth; there’s no way they could be together. How could she end up with President Kane?
Katherine was dying of jealousy.
"Hello." Ivana said into the phone.
"Heh...Miss Monroe, instead of going to the client’s house to handle things, you ran off to fool around with n. What’s your deal?" Katherine’s anger flared up like fire reaching cedar wood, her voice spiking sharply, "Do you know you just got scolded harshly by Mrs. Vance? Do you realize how much compensation GK might face?"
Katherine’s voice was even sharper than Mrs. Vance’s when she smashed her phone.
Ivana’s eardrum ached, and she held the phone a bit away from her ear.
Katherine’s voice was loud enough for Leon Keane to hear everything clearly.
Leon Keane’s handso face suddenly went cold, and he snatched the phone away.
