Chapter 515: Chapter 417: Dragons!
"Hahaha..."
The dragons watched the ferry being swallowed by the tsunami, initially stunned, then burst into laughter.
The mages had only just driven them off the ship, and the next mont they fell into the sea themselves.
This stark contrast was so amusing to the dragons that it nearly made them die laughing.
"Let’s go, up the mountain!"
The leading dragon squinted in the direction of the Divine Mountain, seeing the tsunami growing more violent, gritting its teeth abruptly: "Let’s go, follow
up the mountain!"
When the Divine Mountain was peaceful, nothing like this ever happened at sea.
Now, with waves surging and the tsunami even tearing apart the ferry, sothing was clearly wrong at the Divine Mountain.
"While those mages are busy with themselves, follow
up!"
The leading dragon let out a low roar, quickly slipping through the water.
Though dragons dislike water, it doesn’t an they fear it.
Dragon’s physical prowess far surpasses that of human mages. When it cos to gliding through water, dragons can outpace them by miles.
As the leading dragon began to move swiftly, the other dragons followed suit, albeit slightly bewildered.
Soon, one by one, dark shapes broke through the huge tsunami waves, speeding towards the Pegasus Grassland.
On the sea, the human mages were battered by the tsunami, dizzy and unable to tell direction.
A few with good swimming skills managed to stay sowhat lucid, but seeing the dragons swiftly pass by them left them utterly powerless.
Humans are naturally weaker, especially at sea. It’s fortunate that the terrifying tsunami hasn’t claid their lives, but there’s no way they can keep up with the dragons’ pace now.
Hertz’s small boat just happened to reach the shore as the Divine Mountain began to stir the tsunami.
As he disembarked and steadied himself on land, he saw turbulent waves ripple out in all directions.
It was the first ti the boatman had witnessed such a scene, and he turned ghostly pale with fright.
"This, this is the gods’ wrath!"
The boatman stamred, dropping to his knees with a plop, trembling as he prayed to the Divine Mountain for forgiveness of his sins.
Under usual circumstances, Hertz would kneel, just like the boatman.
But things were different now.
Hertz had a teacher, and that teacher had co specifically to slay the gods.
The commotion on Lifeti Mountain was very likely caused by his teacher; if Hertz were to kneel towards the mountain now, that would be akin to surrendering to the enemy.
If the teacher found out, he would surely be furious.
Then, it wouldn’t be just about the position of Mage; even survival would be in question.
Thinking of this, wind filled Hertz’s stride, as magic elental power carried him swiftly towards the Divine Mountain.
Upon reaching the Pegasus Grassland, seeing the blood-soaked land, Hertz was even more convinced of his guess.
Sothing indeed happened on Lifeti Mountain, and it was certainly his teacher’s doing.
Moreover, from the battlefield’s situation, it seed his teacher had already succeeded.
Otherwise, the battle should’ve taken place on Pegasus Grassland, not on the Divine Mountain.
Thinking of this, Hertz hastened his pace once more.
He needed to make an impression in front of his teacher; otherwise, how could he accept the teacher’s reward?
Not long after Hertz left, the dragons erged from the sea, quickly crawling onto the shore.
The leading dragon sniffed, detecting the dense scent of blood in the air, its eyes lighting up.
"Sothing really happened!"
The dragon’s eyes glead, and it let out a low roar to its comrades who hadn’t reached the shore yet, urging them to speed up, then unfurled its wings and flew towards the Divine Mountain.
The other dragons, seeing their leader take off, hurriedly climbed out of the water. The last black dragon, passing by the prostrate boatman, glanced around, and seeing no one was watching, opened its mouth and swallowed the boatman whole.
After chewing a couple of tis, blood filled its mouth, and the black dragon licked its tongue in satisfaction.
Having swum all the way here, it was quite exhausted, so eating a person was a good way to replenish its strength.
Having done that, the black dragon spread its wings and followed the other dragons to chase after their leader.
As they arrived at the Pegasus Grassland, the dragons saw an abundance of plump cattle and sheep carcasses below. Their eyes glimred, and they imdiately forgot the urging of the leading dragon, descending en masse to feast heartily.
It wasn’t just the black dragon that was hungry; the long swim had drained the other dragons as well.
This was the perfect opportunity to eat so beef and lamb to rest for a while.
The black dragon caught up from behind, and seeing its comrades enjoying the juicy beef and lamb, its eyes instantly revealed a look of regret.
If it had known there was such good food ahead, it wouldn’t have swallowed that person.
Having just gulped soone down whole, the black dragon’s belly was now stuffed, leaving no room for the beef and lamb.
Shaking its head, the black dragon glanced longingly at the cattle and sheep, taking one reluctant step after another in pursuit of the leading dragon.
The leading dragon arrived at the Divine Mountain almost simultaneously with Hertz.
Hertz had been to the Divine Mountain before and was familiar with its environnt. Upon ascending the mountain, he made his way directly towards the Divine Hall with ease.
The leading dragon was not the sa.
Having never been to the Divine Mountain, it had no idea where the Divine Hall was.
Moreover, the Divine Mountain was so grand and expansive that the leading dragon got lost not long after ascending.
Just then, the black dragon caught up from behind.
The leading dragon noticed its subordinate’s arrival and was instantly delighted.
The Divine Mountain was too vast for it to find its way alone, but with a dozen dragons searching from multiple directions, it shouldn’t take long to find the location of the Divine Hall.
However, upon turning around, the leading dragon saw only the weakest black dragon.
Montarily stunned, it asked the black dragon, "Where are the others?"
The black dragon, weak in strength and with a Dark Elent inclination, appeared timid before the leader.
Hearing the leading dragon’s question, the black dragon promptly replied, "Reporting to the leader, they’re all dining at the foot of the mountain and should catch up soon!"
The leading dragon had just co up from the foot of the mountain, knowing what lay on the Pegasus Grassland.
Upon hearing the black dragon’s words, it flew into a rage, "A bunch of useless creatures! There’s always food to eat! If we miss the chance of a lifeti up the mountain, the Giant Dragon Race will have no future!"
The black dragon shrank back in fear but dared not say anything.
Though the leading dragon fud, the issue remained unsolved, so it told the black dragon, "Forget about them. The current priority is to find the Divine Hall on the mountain quickly."
After giving the black dragon a direction, instructing it to search along that route and report back after finding the way up, it pulled a bunch of sheep out from sowhere and began devouring them.
Seeing the dragon slack off, the black dragon felt discontent but dared not show it, reluctantly setting off to find the way.
At the sa ti.
Hertz reached the mountaintop and saw a one-eyed Gray Wolf standing guard at the mountain’s entrance.
He was taken aback, uncertain of the current situation.
According to Hertz’s guess, the mountain should have already been under Zhao Yi’s control.
But what was this magical creature about?
