2485 Betrayed Faith!
Third Page Eternal Sin kept her eyes on Seventh Page War and Eight Page Apoptosis’ faces while she spoke. Compared to Eight Page Apoptosis’ deadpan expression, Seventh Page War’s expressions were much more colorful.
Although Seventh Page War was also the taciturn type, Third Page Eternal Sin could see enough to judge what Seventh Page War was thinking.
Third Page Eternal Sin’s glead with slyness.
Unlike Seventh Page War and Eight Page Apoptosis, Third Page Eternal Sin had the support of a secret organization. She would be safe as long as she returned to them.
There were two reasons that led to her calling out to Seventh Page War and Eight Page Apoptosis.
The first was that she wanted to ensure that she would be able to return to her organization safely.
If they accepted her proposition, she would begin making use of them by turning them into her shields.
The second reason was that she was certain that even if she managed to recruit him, Fourth Page Instant Extinguishnt would return to Tower Canon’s main headquarters and pack up all of the resources he had accumulated in the Tower of Instant Extinguishnt over the years.
Third Page Eternal Sin felt that this was no different from jumping toward one’s doom.
If Fourth Page Instant Extinguishnt packed up his resources but failed to leave Tower Canon, she would be able to assess the situation after hearing about what had happened.
First Page Crimson would definitely attack Fourth Page Instant Extinguishnt for trying to leave Tower Canon.
Thus, First Page Crimson would not allow the rest of them off for leaving Tower Canon either.
Seventh Page War’s expression changed after hearing what Third Page Eternal Sin said. She calmly turned her gaze onto Third Page Eternal Sin as though she was trying to figure sothing out from Third Page Eternal Sin’s gaze.
Eventually, Seventh Page War turned down Third Page Eternal Sin’s proposition and said, “I won’t go with you even if I do leave Tower Canon. You can leave if you want.”
Once Seventh Page War was done speaking, Eight Page Apoptosis expressed his own stance, “I won’t go with you either. We’re not on the sa side. This has beco clear after all the years that we have spent together. Third Page Eternal Sin, we won’t fall for your sches. Don’t get the wrong idea!”
It was difficult for the naturally suspicious Eight Page Apoptosis to trust anyone else at such a ti.
He had been very downhearted the mont he decided to leave Tower Canon.
Eight Page Apoptosis’ hobby was experinting on various feys and needed a lot of equipnt to do so.
Eight Page Apoptosis had built the equipnt after a long period of research and developnt. Many of them were very difficult to replicate or even impossible due to the lack of suitable materials. For example, the materials that ca from special sacred source lifeforms had abilities that could not be replaced.
Eight Page Apoptosis knew he could not bring these out of Tower Canon.
Eight Page Apoptosis was not as brave as Fourth Page Instant Extinguishnt.
He could clearly sense anger and deadly intent from First Page Crimson.
Third Page Eternal Sin was not at all surprised by Seventh Page War and Eight Page Apoptosis’ answers. She could tell what they were thinking from their responses. Like her, they were both intending to leave Tower Canon.
When they left Tower Canon, the three of them would beco three separate targets. Even if First Page Crimson wanted to co after them, he would have to pick one direction. This would greatly lower the risk she would have to undertake.
Third Page Eternal Sin had achieved her goal.
The Mirror God and God of Fools would remain in Fresh City to clear out all of the dinsional lifeforms from the marsh world and dump the marsh that was pouring out from the dinsional rift into Fresh City’s surrounding seas.
Dumping mud and marsh into the sea would not sit well with the sea clans.
However, the only ones who would be displeased were the mbers of the Eight Clans of Sea Emperors, who were residing in Fresh City’s surrounding seas. The Vast Sea Labyrinth would never interfere in such a matter.
After all, the mud and marsh would only pollute the sea for a short period before they sank and beca part of the nutrients at the bottom of the sea.
The Mirror God and God of Fools did not think that it was a sustainable plan to remain in Fresh City long-term to keep watch over the Class 6 marsh dinsional rift.
Soone needed to step out to handle the ss that was the Freedom Federation.
Fresh City was now a ghost town. The Mirror God and God of Fools hoped that the mbers of Tower Canon would remain in Fresh City and make it their temporary base.
This would enable the mbers of Tower Canon to cooperate efficiently with Freedom Federation according to Fresh City’s changing needs. This way, the mbers of Tower Canon would also be able to help to keep watch over the marsh dinsional rift for a longer period.
The two of them would then be able to step in to address the Freedom Federation’s ss and eliminate the families who were stirring up hysteria.
But after looking around, the Mirror God and God of Fools only managed to find Sixth Page Parting Thorn. All the other four mbers of Tower Canon were missing.
The Mirror God and God of Fools questioned Sixth Page Parting Thorn in a fit of anger. However, Sixth Page Parting Thorn was unable to provide any valuable information. All he said was that he assud that Fourth Page Instant Extinguishnt had returned to Tower Canon’s headquarters.
As they thought back to how Sixth Page Parting Thorn, Third Page Eternal Sin, Seventh Page War, Eight Page Apoptosis, and Fourth Page Instant Extinguishnt were bristled with their swords drawn and how First Page Crimson later appeared to apply pressure on the four of them, the Mirror God and God of Fools believed that they might have left Tower Canon.
The Mirror God and God of Fools were already prepared to invite any of the Eight Pages who decided to leave Tower Canon to join the Freedom Federation.
But in the end, they were not given the opportunity to make the offer. Thus, they not only ignored their potential beneficial offer but also abandoned the Freedom Federation and ignored the agreent that they had signed.
How could the Freedom Federation hold on if a large wave of marsh dinsional lifeforms poured out from the marsh dinsional rift at this ti?
Although the Mirror God and God of Fools’ rage had reached a peak, they did not vent it on Sixth Page Parting Thorn.
“You are Tower Canon’s new Sixth Page. This is the first ti that we are working together. I’m sure you won’t betray our faith just like the other Pages have done, right? We the Freedom Federation are willing to help you secure your position as the Sixth Page of Tower Canon.”
While the Mirror God and God of Fools were communicating with Sixth Page Parting Thorn and hoping that he would stay, they did not notice that two purple candles had sparked to life in his eyes.
The black flas that topped the candles were strange and bizarre. They resembled bottomless pits.
“Betray your faith? It goes without saying that I would never do anything that betrays your faith! I don’t need the Freedom Federation to help secure my position as the Sixth Page of Tower Canon. As long as I am sitting in the position, it is secure. With all the thoughts running through your mind, you should devote so of it to trying to co up with a way to help the Freedom Federation overco the current crisis!”
Once he was done speaking, Sixth Page Parting Thorn returned to the chair beside the entrance of the Class 6 marsh dinsional rift. This was a clear declaration of his stance.
The Mirror God and God of Fools could tell from Sixth Page Parting Thorn’s words that he looked down on the Freedom Federation. Naturally, they were very displeased by this.
