2330 The Goddess of rcy’s Firepower
Once Ka Ma took responsibility for this matter, all the resources she had accumulated in the decades since becoming a mber of royalty would be stripped away. At that ti, she would truly be left with nothing!
Ka Ma still needed to depend on these resources to make her coback. Thus, she said resolutely, “I wasn’t the one who started forming ties with the dinsional lifeforms. Who here hasn’t traded with the marsh dinsional lifeforms for uncontracted sacred source lifeforms?”
Ka Ma had just finished speaking, and the Goddess of rcy did not have the chance to respond before a pleasant yet cold voice said, “All of this happened when you were standing guard, so it’s reasonable for you to take responsibility! I’m sure everyone here agrees! If you don’t agree, we will take a vote.”
Ka Ma clenched her fists tightly.
Na Na had abandoned her. But rather than giving her an explanation, she was now attacking her!
Does she really think I am a fool just because I hold my tongue?
They expect to take responsibility just because I was the one standing guard. But even if the Goddess of rcy had been the one standing guard, she would have suffered the sa ending if she had not set her spirit fire alight!
Just as Ka Ma was about to argue with Na Na, multiple voices chid in with their agreent with what Na Na said.
“My thoughts exactly. Whoever was standing guard should take responsibility! Ka Ma was too careless! My losses are serious, so soone needs to take responsibility!”
As the voices of agreent grew louder, Ka Ma’s fists gradually relaxed.
Although Ka Ma had predicted her consequences, she had not expected them to rally together to kick her down so quickly. All of them were ready to eliminate her despite not having co up with a solution.
Ka Ma rembered the conditions that Mirror God had for saving her.
Ka Ma steeled herself and looked in the direction of the Mirror God, only to see that he was already staring at her.
Ka Ma nodded slightly at the Mirror God, and he said in the most imposing voice he could muster, “Okay, let’s first try to co up with a way to address this threat! We can deal with Ka Ma after we’ve neutralized the threat! Ka Ma will stay with before the threat is resolved so she can tell about what happened!”
The Mirror God’s words did not calm Ka Ma down.
But the people in front of her had changed from a group who just had to give up their wealth to being a group who had transferred their wealth to one person in order to gain their protection.
Na Na had been bullied by the Goddess of rcy many tis. She was only able to continue to sit there and share the sa status as the Goddess of rcy because of support from the God of Fools and Mirror God.
Up until now, the entire Mystic Temple eting had been a joke!
The Goddess of rcy and Mirror God’s positions were untouchable. The Goddess of rcy’s attempts to rise in opposition had threatened her position, and she was not in any better state than the rest of them.
The Freedom Federation’s mbers of royalty all had so skeletons in their closets, but unlike the Goddess of rcy, their circumstances were not hopeless.
However, the Goddess of rcy’s recent actions had been much too unusual.
It was as though she had been injected with passion and no longer acted in a cavalier manner.
In the past, she never hesitated to make their lives difficult. But now, it was as though she had co alive. Perhaps she had thought things through!
After all, the Mirror God and God of Fools would never allow her to take that step!
Her situation might be classified as terrible, but the Goddess of rcy and Na Na were not doing any better.
At the end of freedom was submission. This was the philosophy of the Freedom Federation.
Once the Mirror God spoke, everyone besides the Goddess of rcy wore uncomfortable expressions, which quickly disappeared.
None of them said anything and silently agreed with what the Mirror God said.
The Goddess of rcy had already experienced such an environnt many tis.
She chuckled coldly and already had an insult prepared. But eventually, she did not poke the bear that was the Mirror God.
The Mirror God had already set his spirit fire alight. If she fought him, she would be the one who ended up suffering!
Since the Mirror God wanted to save Ka Ma, she would keep her hands off Ka Ma.
The Goddess of rcy silently shot a look at Ka Ma. But when she looked back at Na Na, her gaze beca mocking again.
Ka Ma, whether you will earn a chance depends on how useful you are!
“If we have to fault Ka Ma, the error isn’t serious. She was weaker than her opponent because she lacks talent and can’t handle such important assignnts!
“However, it was vile of Na Na to abandon Ka Ma when she was in danger! If Na Na had been willing to work with Ka Ma to take on the enemy, Ka Ma’s Sky-Supplenting Pheasant might not have died, and the Freedom Federation would not have suffered such heavy losses!”
Ka Ma’s lungs almost exploded with anger when she heard the first part of what the Goddess of rcy said.
The Mirror God already decided to save . I can’t believe you chose to disgust when you realized you couldn’t touch ! If not for the fact that I’m unable to beat you, I would rip your face into pieces and peel the scales off your tail!
But when she heard the latter part of what the Goddess of rcy said, Ka Ma’s attitude toward the Goddess of rcy swung to the other side of the spectrum.
Ka Ma never expected the day would co when the Goddess of rcy would speak up on her behalf!
She had witnessed how much firepower the Goddess of rcy had when she spoke during the Mystic Temple etings. There were many tis that she had not even bothered to take the Mirror God’s pride into consideration.
Ka Ma knew that her chance for revenge was there!
She pulled on an even more pained expression.
“I never expected such an outco either! If Na Na had fought with , we would definitely have been able to last till the Mirror God arrived to help. The territory wouldn’t have been destroyed to such an extent too! Na Na has to take responsibility for the death of my Sky-Supplenting Pheasant!”
Na Na was still feeling waves of fear.
If she had left any later, the Disaster World Faceless Beast would have died there and then!
Na Na’s mind was not on the Mystic Temple eting at all.
If I had helped you instead of fleeing from a dinsional lifeform who is as powerful as an expert who has set their spirit fire alight, I would have rushed toward my death!
Na Na saw this as normal, yet the Goddess of rcy had turned it into a reason to condemn her.
Usually, everyone would understand if she just explained that the dinsional lifeform had reached the level of an expert who had set their spirit fire alight.
Yet, Ka Ma had stabbed her publicly and misconstrued the situation!
By the ti I arrived, the Sky-Supplenting Pheasant was already dead. Ka Ma was also injured as her own hand had been plunged into her chest. How was I supposed to help!?
