Chapter 58: Yu ng: You All Deserve to Die
Yu ng skillfully evaded surveillance after surveillance, infiltrating the Zhao family estate like a panther in the darkness. Her gaze, shadowy and somber, settled on the three people in the Zhang family’s grand hall.
“Cherish your last monts! Tomorrow, you’ll be forcefully bankrupted, all your assets repossessed.”
The family sat together, gloomy and despondent. Ye Chen was absent; as a guest, he couldn’t involve himself in such matters.
“Dad, is there really no other way?” Zhao Shaotian asked, still not giving up hope.
“What other way could there be? You’ve ssed everything up,” Zhao’s father coldly retorted, his gaze icy as he looked at his son.
“Exactly, why did you have to provoke Lu Li? Even if he’s a nobody, he’s still a young master of the Lu family. Can you compare to him?” Zhao Lu casually played with her fingers, regarding her brother with disdain, as if he were trash.
“Zhao Lu, how dare you? When our family had a chance, why didn’t you behave properly? How does the bankruptcy of the Zhao family benefit you?” Zhao Shaotian exploded in anger.
“? Deal with the ss you’ve created? Zhao Shaotian, you’re indeed the world’s best big brother,” Zhao Lu sneered.
“Hmph! You’re also a daughter of the Zhao family. It’s your duty to contribute when the family is in trouble. My pampering you in the past doesn’t an you can act recklessly,” Zhao Shaotian grew angrier, eventually slapping Zhao Lu across the face.
“If it weren’t for you, how could our family have ended up like this? All you had to do was speak nicely to Lu Li, just listen to him obediently. That’s all the use your flesh is good for, yet you couldn’t even manage that.”
“Zhao Shaotian…” Zhao Lu, clutching her face, glared at Zhao Shaotian with resentnt.
“Don’t give that! From tomorrow on, you’re no longer the Zhao family’s young miss. You’ll lose all your clothes, your bank cards will be canceled, and your costics too. I rember you spending at least a few hundred thousand a month on them. Well, you won’t have that chance anymore. What can you do? Oh, maybe you can find a place among the stars, since you won’t compensate Lu Li, go accompany those old n you used to look down upon!”
Zhao Shaotian sneered, entirely avoiding his own culpability.
It seed only now did Zhao Lu grasp the gravity of their situation, realizing what the bankruptcy of the Zhao family ant. Her complexion turned ashen. Accustod to a life of luxury, the thought of having her bank cards canceled, losing her clothes, and being forced to accompany n she found repulsive was terrifying.
Zhao Lu was frightened by Zhao Shaotian’s words.
“Dad…” She turned, seemingly seeking so reassurance from her father.
But Zhao’s father, who had been silent since the argunt began, rely nodded gravely.
“If you don’t want to suffer beside Lu Li, then prepare to endure the hardships of life!”
Zhao Lu’s face was a ghastly white, her previously fiery deanor collapsing onto the floor.
Yu ng, having overheard everything, felt a chill in her gaze.
“Daring to offend my big brother, you deserve nothing less than death.”
With that thought, she no longer concealed her presence, confident Ye Chen wasn’t around, and revealed herself.
“Who are you? Don’t you know the rules? Didn’t we say no entry?” Zhao Lu, venting her fear, yelled at Yu ng.
“And you dare to look down on my big brother?” The murderous intent in Yu ng’s eyes flashed montarily.
“You say…”
Before Zhao Lu could finish, a sharp dagger had already slashed across her throat, silencing her forever.
Yu ng dodged Zhao Lu’s falling body with agility, her shadowy figure appearing before Zhao’s father, swiftly delivering another blow without giving them ti to react.
Turning again, Yu ng seized Zhao Shaotian by the neck, lifting him with trendous force. The dagger that had just slit the throats of his father and sister bore no trace of blood.
“Is it with this filthy mouth that you mocked my big brother?”
Zhao Shaotian’s eyes widened in terror, unable to speak under her control. The strength of the woman before him was frightening; his tall fra was effortlessly lifted by her single hand.
Realizing the reason for her visit, he understood she had co because of his mockery of Lu Li. In recent tis, he had only mocked one person – Lu Li, the very man who had driven the Zhao family to bankruptcy.
This woman was Lu Li’s person.
With this realization, Zhao Shaotian trembled in regret. He shouldn’t have crossed Lu Li.
He had been wrong from the start; Lu Li was not soone the Zhao family could afford to offend. His attempt to benefit from Lu Li had already angered him, not to ntion the mockery instigated by Ye Chen.
“Damn it, Ye Chen, you’ve dood !” Zhao Shaotian was filled with resentnt.
Yu ng didn’t care for Zhao Shaotian’s response. She hadn’t expected one anyway. The grip on his neck ensured he couldn’t make a sound, although missing the pleas was a pity. She had another target – Ye Chen.
The dagger plunged deeply into Zhao Shaotian’s face, utterly destroying his once handso features. Yu ng could be the humble Xiao ng sister in front of Lu Li, but to others, she was the cold-blooded assassin.
When the disguise was stripped away, her enemies realized the terrifying nature of what they had provoked.
Delighting in the horror that transford Zhao Shaotian’s arrogant visage, Yu ng felt a rush of satisfaction.
Those who threatened her big brother deserved death.
Having made her point, she delivered the final blow to Zhao Shaotian.
Surveying the chaos of the living room, Yu ng’s lips curled into a faint smile. She had completed half of the task assigned by her big brother. All that remained was to kill Ye Chen, and then big brother would accept her.
She could prove her unwavering loyalty and remain by her big brother’s side.
Without bothering to clean the blood off her, Yu ng headed to Ye Chen’s room.
The vast Zhao estate was eerily quiet, the servants likely having fled upon catching wind of what was happening.
Yu ng easily found Ye Chen’s room and slowly opened the door.
“Who…” Ye Chen sensed her almost instantly.
His survival wasn’t just due to his erratic thinking or his self-absorbed vanity. He possessed the necessary skills, otherwise, how could he have won over those wild subordinates of his?
“It’s !” Yu ng quietly concealed her dagger within her sleeve.
“Xiao ng?” Ye Chen looked at her, surprised.
Noticing the blood on Yu ng, a dark shadow crossed his eyes. “Did that second-generation idiot Lu Li lay his hands on you?”
Yu ng was the woman he had set his sights on. Despite her consistent coldness towards him, Ye Chen had long regarded Yu ng as his woman.
That Lu Li dare to touch his woman.
A glint of murderous intent flashed in his eyes. Observing Yu ng’s current state, he instinctively thought Lu Li had made a move on Yu ng, who then retaliated.
“Lucky for you, to insult and lay hands on my woman, you died too easily.”
