Beast Gathering City was ruled by three great clans.
The terrestrial Beast Clan, the flying Feather Clan, and the aquatic Sea Clan.
Every five years, the Clan Leaders of the three great clans would compete for the title of City Lord.
Currently, the Tiger Clan City Lord was past his pri, and it was highly likely that the Clan Leader of the Feather Clan would beco the city’s ruler for the next five years.
Several years ago, Song Yi had defeated the previous Clan Leader of the Feather Clan. Now, the Feather Clan, under his leadership, was responsible for patrolling Beast Gathering City, monitoring the rising water levels of the moat, and guarding the mineral resources in the city’s mountain ranges.
His younger brother, Song Ke, was the complete opposite. He was a carefree rogue with no interest in serious matters; his greatest pleasure in life was searching far and wide for beautiful females.
Lin Xixue was now being kept by Song Ke in such comfort that she had already forgotten her two previous mates had been brutally killed by his hand.
Comparing her two lives, she now felt ashad of her previous, destitute days in the Barbarian Bear Tribe. She felt lucky this Eagle Beast had ’rescued’ her.

In truth, Lin Xixue was more captivated by his older brother, Song Yi, than by Song Ke.
Song Yi had beco the Clan Leader of the Feather Clan at a young age. He was a terrifyingly powerful Seven-striped Beast with a cold, focused deanor, and he had never been seen entangled with any female.
But the thought of his frigid expression made Lin Xixue quickly shake her head, her heart filled with apprehension.
She took a large gulp of beast milk to calm her nerves. After all, the gentle-tempered Song Ke was much more likable.
After finishing the roasted at, Lin Xixue rubbed her belly. Just as she was about to go for a walk to aid her digestion, she suddenly heard a chorus of eagle cries from outside. Her expression lit up, and she scampered down the stairs.
As she headed out the door, she nearly collided with a golden-haired man walking toward her.
Before she could regain her balance, the man walked straight past her without so much as offering a hand to steady her.
The man was tall and statuesque, with golden hair, blue eyes, a high-bridged nose, and deep-set eyes. His face was handso yet cold, and a golden feather ornant dangled from his right ear.
This man was strange. Unlike other males of the Beast World, who couldn’t wait to wear their beast-hide kilts as short as possible to attract the attention of females, he was dressed in a wide, Chi-gold feathered robe that concealed his tall, powerful body completely.
The man brought a wave of cold, damp air in with him. Chilled, Lin Xixue pulled her beast-hide clothes tighter around herself, shooting him a look of delicate dissatisfaction before quickly hurrying after him.
"Where is Song Ke?" The man’s sharp, eagle-like eyes swept over the empty Stone Castle, not missing a single corner.
His low, husky voice was as intoxicating as smoke. Lin Xixue’s heart raced, and her gaze on the man grew even more fervent.
"You’re Song Yi?"
’He rarely cos back. Why today...’
Lin Xixue hurried closer to the man, her eyes burning as she gazed at Song Yi. She softened her voice deliberately, "I don’t know either. He went out and hasn’t returned yet."
"Isn’t he infatuated with you? And yet he just left you here in the Stone Castle by yourself?" Song Yi narrowed his slender blue eyes, his gaze falling on the female, whose expression had soured. He watched as she drew near, her soft body occasionally brushing against his arm.
"..." Song Yi’s expression grew even colder.
The man’s long, blade-like brows furrowed. His thin lips pressed into a firm line, and his jaw tensed. A flash of disgust and revulsion crossed his handso, icy face.
Without any regard for her status as a female, he shoved her away.
Caught off guard, Lin Xixue fell to the ground with a shriek. Trembling, she looked up and glared at Song Yi. "I’m a female! How could you be so rough with ?"
Song Yi glanced down at her, his voice cold and devoid of warmth. Instead of answering, he posed a question of his own. "You are my younger brother’s female. Why are you trying to seduce ?"
"..." Lin Xixue was montarily speechless. She could only glare at him resentfully, her indignation only making her want him more.

Since his brother wasn’t there, Song Yi turned to leave.
The man’s tall, wild form instantly transford into a Golden Feathered Giant Eagle. He launched himself out the door, his body spanning five ters with wings outstretched. He cut a majestic figure high in the sky before vanishing as swift as lightning.
The mont he vanished completely, the oppressive aura pressing down on Lin Xixue finally dissipated. She scrambled up from the ground, glaring viciously at the distant horizon.
"Damn it! That Song Yi didn’t even show a shred of courtesy! I’m the one his brother cherishes most, and he dares to give such a sour look!"
’I’m the most beautiful female here. It’s impossible for any male to dislike . He’s just playing hard to get.’
Lin Xixue quickly regained her confidence. Letting out a defiant, cold snort, she declared, "Song Yi, you just wait! The day will co when you’ll be on your knees, begging to be your mate!"
