Gu Yin quickly changed his clothes. When he ca out, An Jin’s aesthetic standards were taken to a whole new level.

Ling Hong’s outfit leaned toward a modified military style for n.

Gu Yin’s, on the other hand, was a simplified version of ancient Huaxia clothing—a black robe with red patterns and wide sleeves.

The man’s ink-black hair cascaded over his shoulders and down to his waist. Gu Yin’s features were already intensely striking, and his tall, straight figure only amplified this. The wide-sleeved robe, a mix of black and red, made him look like a dangerously handso creature of unparalleled beauty.

Gu Yin himself didn’t care what he wore. To him, it made no difference whether he wore clothes or not.

His gaze fell upon the female’s stunned face, and he couldn’t help but curl his lips into a smile, a victor’s pride swelling in his heart.

Xi looked left, then right, his face falling into a miserable pout. He was suddenly very unhappy.

’Why is my outfit a big skirt?’

’Aren’t big skirts like this for females to wear??’

Seeing the Little rfolk staring at her pitifully, his clear blue eyes wide with youthful, round-eyed grievance, An Jin suddenly felt like a creep. She couldn’t resist the urge to pinch his pale, puffed-out cheeks.

Fortunately, a glimpse of Gu Yin’s frosty expression in her periphery quickly put a stop to that thought.

An Jin pressed a hand to her lips to stifle her laughter. She then spread the long garnt out in front of the three of them. "This is a type of traditional ethnic attire. It’s a very distinctive long-skirt design, and I think it will suit you well."

"Go on, try it on." She stuffed the clothes into Xi’s arms.

He pouted and scurried away dejectedly with the clothes.

Xi’s features were exquisite and stunning. He had vertical, azure-blue pupils, and against the backdrop of his long, sapphire hair, his skin was as fair and tender as peeled lychee flesh. His lips were as red as fresh cherries, making him as beautiful as an elf from legend.

Xi had perfectly inherited the fine genes of the rfolk race.

With his slender figure and a waist as supple as water, what was ant to be a distinctive piece of traditional ethnic clothing really did look a bit like a girl’s big skirt on him.

’I’d heard rfolk are born without a gender and only choose one when they co of age. Did Xi accidentally pick the wrong one?’

An Jin was taken aback by this sudden thought.

Although the three of them seed to like their respective outfits, An Jin could tell their enjoynt stemd more from the fact that it was "a gift from her" rather than any deep appreciation for the clothes themselves.

It seed these overly elaborate and intricate clothes didn’t align with the Beastn’s aesthetic.

It made sense when she thought about it. After all, they frequently hunted in the jungle to survive, prioritizing speed and freedom.

The beast-hide kilts Ling Hong and the others usually wore were simple and loose enough not to impede their speed or restrain their boundless energy.

Not to ntion, if they suddenly encountered a fierce beast while hunting, they wouldn’t have ti to change. Their bodies would instantly swell to dozens of tis their size as they transford into their beast forms, and the clothes would easily be torn to shreds.

The philosophy of design is always to fit practical needs.

From then on, An Jin’s clothing designs abandoned ostentation and complexity. She focused on fitting the human form, making the clothes as simple and practical as possible so the Beastn could easily put them on or take them off, whether they were in the tribe or out hunting in the forest.

Now, at the end of the hot season, the weather was gradually cooling. The ground was covered in a thick layer of dead branches and fallen leaves.

The treetops were bare, and unknown black birds clung desolately to the withered branches, cawing raucously.

Their beady black eyes watched the bustling Beastn on the ground below with vigilance. The mont they spotted a piece of forgotten rotten at or a bone with flesh still on it, the black birds would dive from the trees and peck at it fiercely a few tis.

When soone ca to shoo them away, they would flutter their wings, shedding several feathers as they quickly flew off to safety.

But as soon as the person left, they would flock back to peck at the stinking, rotten flesh on the ground, fighting and scrambling over one another, burying their heads in the at to feast with loud CAWS.

After a while, people couldn’t be bothered to drive them away anymore.

Life in this primitive world was simple and plain. The Beastn followed a repetitive daily routine, busy from morning till night, just to fill their stomachs.

When they returned to the tribe after a hunt, the first thing they did was skin and bone their prey, processing the rewards of a hard day’s labor.

To prevent the stockpiled food from rotting, they had long since followed An Jin’s advice. They used stone blades to clean the at and cure it in stone vats. So of it was sealed to continue curing, while another portion was made into smoked at and hung by the ventilation windows.

As for the bloody beast hides they stripped off, they were washed clean by the river and then flung out to spread over large rocks.

They would rub the hides with the juice of so kind of sour grass to remove the fat particles and the cornified layer. Then, they would take them back to the river to be scrubbed and rinsed several tis before hanging them on branches next to their houses to dry, after which they were ready to be used.
