Chapter 91
~Jade’s POV~
Xander kept thrusting through it—slow, grinding rolls now—drawing out both our pleasure until we were both trembling and gasping.
For long monts, we just stayed like that: him still inside , my breasts pressed to the cold wall, his face buried in the crook of my neck as we tried to rember how to breathe, hearts hamring in sync.
His hand massaged gently on my breast, thumb brushing softly over the swollen peak now instead of pinching. The other arm stayed locked around my middle, holding in place.
Finally, he eased out slowly—carefully this ti—making whimper again at the drag of him leaving. I felt the warm slide of his release trickle down my inner thigh and shivered.
Xander turned gently in his arms, pulling my bra and top back down to cover . His forehead rested against mine, breath still uneven.
My eyelids fluttered open, adjusting to the dim light filtering in from the high windows.
I watched him. Even in the dark, I could feel the intensity of his gaze on my face.
Xander looked so tantalisingly handso; his hair was ssy, his chest rising and falling heavily as he stared down at with eyes completely blown black with lust.
The re sight of him, so thoroughly wrecked by what we had just done, sent a fresh shiver of heat straight down my spine.
I never would have thought he was a rule breaker or this type of possessive guy. And as if he could hear my thought, he proved his point.
"Mine," Xander rasped, softer this ti. His thumb brushed over the mate mark on my neck and a thrill coursed through .
Before I could respond, he kissed slowly, and claiming in a completely different way.
"You okay?" he asked quietly, voice softer now, thumb stroking along my jaw.
I managed a shaky nod, then a small, breathless laugh. "Aside from the intense sex? Yes, but keep at it and you’re going to kill one of these days."
He smirked, pressing a surprisingly tender kiss to my swollen lips. "Not before I make sure every male in this academy knows exactly who you belong to. Besides, I love that you’re ready for more later."
I rolled my eyes, even as warmth blood in my chest. Days ago we weren’t this way but after that night of mating, it felt as though sothing changed with my mates.
Though our hearts were still far from falling in love, I felt wanted in a good way for the first ti ever.
"Possessive much."
"You have no idea, Jade," he corrected, kissing again.
When Xander broke the kiss, he pressed his forehead to mine again. "We’re not done talking about Silver and Aidan," he murmured, a dangerous edge creeping back into his tone.
I let out a breathless laugh despite myself. "I figured."
His hands were still on my hips, holding there like he wasn’t quite ready to let go.
For a mont, neither of us spoke. Then he exhaled sharply. "You have no idea how hard it was to watch that," he muttered.
His thumb brushed lightly along my cheek before his gaze t mine again. Xander looked deeply into my eyes, the absolute sincerity in his gaze making my heart skip a beat
"Will you go out on a date with , Jade?"
My breath caught slightly at the question. Seconds passed and I had no reply.
I simply stared at him, still pressed between his arms with his body’s warmth lingering against mine.
"A date?" I echoed softly.
Xander’s mouth quirked at the corner, though the intensity in his eyes didn’t fade. "Yes. A real one."
My heart gave a strange little flip at the words. I hesitated, biting lightly on my lower lip. "Xander, I... Silver already asked ," I said carefully.
The words had barely left my mouth when Xander huffed out a quiet breath and cut off. "I know."
His hands slid from my hips to rest lightly at my waist, thumbs brushing small circles against my sides as if he was trying to keep himself calm.
"That’s Saturday." I blinked. "Tomorrow is Wednesday." Xander’s gaze held mine. "So before that," he leaned just slightly closer, "I get you to myself."
Heat crept back into my cheeks. "Xander—"
"Just dinner," he interrupted again, though there was a faint smirk tugging at his lips now. "Maybe a walk. Maybe I’ll even behave."
I snorted softly. "You? Behave?"
"Unlikely," he admitted without hesitation and I laughed. His expression softened slightly at the sound.
"I’m serious, Jade. One evening. No academy politics. No brother either." His fingers gently tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear. "Just you and ."
My chest tightened unexpectedly. "You already had ," I murmured, glancing pointedly toward the wall behind .
Xander’s grin turned downright dangerous. "And yet I still want the date."
That did it. I sighed quietly, shaking my head as a smile tugged at my lips. "Fine," I said at last.
His brows lifted slightly. "Fine?" he repeated.
"Yes," I clarified, eting his gaze again. "I’ll go on a date with you tomorrow."
For a second Xander didn’t react, then a slow, satisfied smile spread across his face. "Good." His hand slid up to cradle the back of my neck as he leaned down and pressed a lingering kiss to my lips. "Because I wasn’t planning to take no for an answer."
My laughter eased out softly as Xander stepped back just enough to tug my leggings back up, fingers lingering between my thighs to push his release back inside possessively.
I shivered at the filthy intimacy of it.
"Co on. Break’s almost over. And you’re going to walk out of here slling like ."
I rolled my eyes even as heat blood in my cheeks. "You’re impossible."
"I am many things Jade," he said it as though warning .
"Yeah. That’s why I know the last thing you want is having Principal Vale summon you back to her office because of you and I breaking the rules."
"I hate that too," he admitted and raked his fingers through his hair.
"Great then. Glad we agree cause I’m using the staff restroom in here before break’s over."
"Sure, I’d get a quick show before you leave."
I punched his arm rather than responding but Xander only mused before licking his lips.
