"You drove fast." Beth said as she slipped into the passenger seat of Tristan’s SUV, checking it out.
"Mhmm. Told you I was hungry." He said softly. Just as she took in the interior of the vehicle, he took in her appearance, like a sight for sore eyes.
His eyes went from her exposed legs to her milky thighs that glistened under the golden glow from the do light in the middle of the roof console, images of him sucking on those thighs last night not just popped in his head but sent a huge wave of blood to his beast.
Readjusting, he looked up to her face only to find her already looking at him, a small smirk on her thin lips. His cheeks couldn’t help but tint in embarrassnt.
"Like what you see?" She asked, her voice abit rough.
"You know I do." He said, looking right back into her eyes that were filling with hunger. His embarrassnt was wearing off and sothing else was slipping in.
"Should we go sowhere?" He asked, not breaking the stare.
"Would love to, but I wouldn’t want to risk pissing my mother off. She’s a light sleeper and I’m pretty sure she woke up the minute you drove into this premises." Beth replied softly, her eyes still boring into his, the look in them completely disagreeing with everything she said.
"You’re really not going to break this stare, are you?" He asked, chuckling.
"Sadly, I’ve never been one to back down from a challenge." She said, still keeping his gaze.
Chuckling out loud, he broke the stare, turning to his window for a bit, in search of fresh air. "You really are our mate." He said, turning back to her.
"Oh really?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. "And why would you say that?"
"Because, only a fellow Alpha or their mates can hold their stares without conceding. And you did just that, Princess. So you’re ours." He explained, his palm on her leg cheek, caressing it.
She was so tempted to lean in, but she was tired of being made a soft girl by the bond, so she decided to fight it, whilst trying to control it.
"I’m not your property, or slave." She said boldly, looking into his eyes, and instantly sothing shifted in the atmosphere. It was subtle but she had felt it.
"You’re no one’s slave, Honey. Okay? You have a mind of your own, you do whatever you want."Tristan said slowly, like he was walking on glass.
"It’s okay. I understand." She said, sitting properly in her chair, looking forward.
"Soo, what is it you wanted to talk about, M’lady."Tristan asked, taking off his seat belt.
"About that." She dragged a bit before sighing and slouching in her seat. "It’s a bit embarrassing. It’s about the Heat. My Heat."
"Oh." He exclaid, nodding a bit, as he took in her words. He was definitely not expecting that. "What about it?" He asked, looking honestly confused.
"Dad suggests that since I’m not ready to air ’this’, we should go to the city for it. He said I’m young and it’s going to attract a lot of males. He wasn’t sure you guys were going to like it, so he said to ask you guys." Beth said, hoping she sounded as calm as she did in her head.
"Mm, that’s not wrong at all" He said, nodding in thought and suddenly cursing, placing his hand on the steering wheel.
"What happened? Is sothing wrong? If it’s too much, we can think of sothing else." Beth asked in worry.
"No, not at all, love. We’d be delighted to have you. It’s just we might have triggered it, probably a little too much." Tristan said, raking his mind for a solution.
"Then what’s the problem?"
"We’ve triggered it’s countdown or sequence. You should be getting it anyti soon." He said, looking apologetic.
"I already know that." Beth cooed, chuckling. "Dad told , and I really don’t mind."
"Are you sure, baby?" Tristan asked, to make sure.
"Yes, Sir. Very sure." She said giving him a small smile.
"You have very tiny lips." He said out of the blue, taking her by surprise.
"That’s very... abstract." She responded, chuckling nervously, causing Tristan to laugh out quite loud.
"Shhh. You’re being very loud." She whispered to him, turning of the light.
"Now you’re really going to make them think sothing is really going on." Tristan said chuckling, very amused by her anxiety.
Huffing she turned off the light, and shoved the flask she’d being holding to him.
"There’s your pasta, you jerk. Talk to the boys and see what they say." She ordered, getting ready to leave the vehicle.
"Please wait." He said imdiately he saw her reaching for the handle. "I’d tell them and get back to you."
"Okay..." She dragged, not exactly sure of his reasons for telling her to wait.
"Thank you for the al." He said softly, looking into her eyes.
"Anyti. I’m just glad we had sothing asides cookies in the kitchen for you to eat."
"Not that I would’ve minded. Honestly." He answered, shrugging.
"Well, I would have. But it’s sothing either way."
"Yeah, it is" He responded, assessing the flask.
"Would you eat here? Or at your office? I personally think you should get going, it’s really late. I shouldn’t have called you out." Bethany said at once sighing.
"Uhh.. First off, I’d take it back to the mansion with . Secondly, It’s my pack and my safest place. No matter what ti it is I can always co out. And thirdly, do not ever apologize for letting see you.-"
"- I’ve holed up in my office for hours, this was exactly the fresh air I needed. So thank you for letting co." He rattled off at once, her left hand in his as he held it a bit tightly, smiling lightly at her.
"Okay, Sir. I understand. But you’re not welco because, I didn’t exactly have a choice." She deadpanned.
"Yeah, you didn’t."
