*Leon’s POV~*

"Oh, I’ve forgotten this your lion-pet is still alive," I said, while she imdiately turned all her attention to him, rubbing his body while he was licking her.

Jealousy swelled in my chest as she started paying more attention to him.

I just ignored them as I started putting bricks up on bricks until I realized I had run out of materials.

Then I dusted my hands and turned to her.

"Hello. Hello there."

She turned to . "What?"

"I’m going back to the market square. I want to go get so equipnt. I’ve run out of so materials and I need more equipnt."

"Oh, let’s go then."

And then I stared at her... and then at her lion... and then back at her.

"You expect to take a woman who is not so good at pretending to be a man—and so nasty lion-pet she has—to follow ?" I said.

She shrugged her shoulders. "What is wrong with this?"

"Please, just stay behind here. I’ll be going. Not too far. Understand?"

She nodded while she sat.

"You will et exactly on this spot. Good girl."

I rubbed her hair.

She slapped my hand off.

"I’m a man, not a girl. Talk to like a man."

"Okay, mate." I hit her shoulder.

"Oh my God! Don’t hit like that!"

"What? You told to greet like a man."

"I did not say you should hit like a man!"

"Fine. I’m going, Eric. I’ll try not to take long."

"Buy so chickens on your way. I’m so starving."

I rubbed my eyes. "Oh, so hard."

I walked and reached the market square. By then the wolves there were very busy.

The city was almost like New Orleans.

My stomach groaned as I rembered New Orleans for a while.

I wonder how Sophia, Hazel, and everyone back ho are doing.

They’ve probably been looking for and Aurora by now.

Is it selfish that I’m keeping Aurora all to myself and starting a new life here?

But I guess that’s the best for the two of us. If I go back to New Orleans, Sophia will be there. Hazel will force to consummate my marriage with her.

And so many things...

But if I’m here, I’ll be living a peaceful life together with my wife.

Even though she’s not technically my wife.

But I’ll stay here with Aurora and everything.

My life seems peaceful here.

Although not exactly the one I want...

But and Aurora—we can have children and live a very normal life.

I took a deep breath, knowing that I’m going to sacrifice my post as Beta to live as a rogue wolf.

Then sothing caught my eyes.

They were putting posters everywhere.

I imdiately approached one that people gathered around, and my breath hitched as I saw it was Aurora there.

What? What is Aurora’s picture doing there as wanted?

"Oh my God, that’s !" I heard the voice from behind , and I turned to see Aurora standing.

I imdiately looked around to see if Hugo was behind her, but fortunately, he was not there.

I took a deep breath and grabbed her hands, dragging her beside the nearby shop.

"What are you doing here, for God damn sake? You see that? That is your picture hung there—Aurora, the wanted Aurora!"

"Wanted?" She puckered her lips.

"Eric. And who wants ?"

"I don’t know! I told you not to follow !"

"I was bored, and I know you will not buy the chicken."

"This is not the ti to behave like a fool. You were supposed to stay back ho. Damn it."

"Now, what do you want to buy, sir?"

The owner of the shop where I had taken her to ca outside, and I turned to her.

I looked at the contents of her shop and noticed she was selling decorative stuff.

"I want to buy this." I pointed to the hairpin.

"Okay. Can I know the size of the person you want to buy it for? I need to know the hair length of your wife."

"Oh, my hair is not that long," Eric imdiately said from behind .

The woman turned to her.

"You are the wife?"

"Oh, yes, I am." She wrapped her hands around mine and rested her head on my shoulder.

"He is my husband, and I am his wife."

"But... you are a man."

She suddenly realized that and released .

"Yes. I’m sorry. I just love him."

"Gay." The woman said it, and I and Aurora just stared at her.

She swallowed, realizing the danger she had put us in. And I gazed back at her, both of us shocked.

—um—no, it is not what you think. It is not what you think it is." I stamred, while the woman just looked at us, already convinced.

"But he wrapped his hands around you, and he calls himself your wife. I have never seen sothing like this before. I’ve only heard about it, but a gay wolf?"

And then she turned, starting to look directly at Aurora.

"And a human? How on earth—" she yelled.

I imdiately rushed to her.

"Madam, please, you don’t want to raise your voice—"

"I an, I don’t even know how to react! How?!"

And then Tina! Tina!.

"What is it? What is it? Tina turned.

"Do you believe that there are two n and they’re eating each other?!"

The woman beside her turned to look at us. "What? Oh my God. Really?"

And then the woman dashed away, the other woman following.

I turned to Eric.

"Run."

But then—I saw so white-haired figures. Almost looking like Darius and the other demons.

I imdiately pulled Aurora closer to , but the other woman rushed forward, and small wolves now surrounded us.

"Oh my God! They are really dating! This other one looks feminine—maybe that’s why the wolf fell in love with him. Because he looks feminine!"

"I don’t even know what to feel. It is forbidden—"

"No, it is bad to be homophobic," another one said.

"I’m not homophobic! It’s just—I’ve never seen such before. There were rumors—"

And I turned to Aurora.

"Are you satisfied with what you’ve put us in now?"
