"What?!"
Ca an exclamation from the door which garnered the attention of everyone inside. Kora at the source of the voice and saw Dana and Ezra walking inside. Dana and Ezra just happen to co back at that exact mont and heard what Kora said and was beyond shocked.
"Are you sure you saw his mate?" Lazarus asked since Raven couldn’t say a word just yet.
"Yes," she said and just one word and nothing more.
That one-word answer was enough to the doubts of everyone who had heard her. By now the pack was well aware of Kora’s rare gift and ability, they just didn’t know to what extent she could reach but it seems that she was still growing in her powers. Because they had co to know that she was different, they were too surprised to see the change in her looks. Her powers made up for her lack of a beast.
Raven finally snapped out of his dazed state and geared at Kora sothing that confused the other people. "How co you saw his mate? Did you see mine?" Ezra asked not minding the fact that Raven was glaring at her right now. They should be used to each other by now and the glares did not seem to bother Kora at all so why should her mind? "Tell , I want to know." He said plopping down beside her.
Kora gave him a look but she did not answer him. "Why are you hearing at ?" She asked Raven who hadn’t stopped glaring yet.
"Why did you shake your head?" Raven asked and she raised a brow in amusent. By now the residents of the pack house were all listening to them with curiosity brimming in their eyes.
"Is that why you are glaring?" She asked and slumped back against the seat. "I just didn’t think you two are a good match." She said and Raven raised a brow in askance. "But it makes sense though, she will colour your life, you are too gloomy."
Dana and Ezra laughed, Lazarus shook his head and the pack mbers tried hard to hold back the chuckles and giggle at her remark. Raven was their beta after all.
"Why would she be in a human town? She is human?" Raven asked. He didn’t want to take what she said seriously because it will only annoy him and he did not want to get annoyed after receiving good news about his mate.
"Mmm, she is." She affird. Raven felt torn and conflicted when he heard that.
********
Shadow moon pack,
Darren and Mateo went separate ways leading a group of warriors each. Logan went with Darren because Mateo refused to leave the Alpha unguarded. Over the years, Mateo had beco very possessive and protective of his alpha.
While Leo went with Mateo because he did not want the alpha snapping at him for refusing to leave even after he had to him to leave. Leo just could not leave when he knew that there was trouble in his pack and go to a place where they were busy celebrating birthdays and smiling while his pack was in danger along with his friends and family.
Darren stood amidst his warriors as he looked into the distance once again. His face was stern and serious, and his eye, were sharp, he had a death aura that could almost be seen swirling around him. Making the people around him cower in fear. If they didn’t know that he was on their side then they would have run away long ago.
"Prepare yourselves," Darren said in a voice that almost sounded like a growl. It felt nacing to the ears.
Imdiately they all took their stance and Logan stood beside Darren not leaving his side despite how suffocating it was to do so.
Darren mind-linked Mateo and told him to get ready they were almost face-to-face with their assailants.
After a few more minutes passed, Darren could now physically see what was approaching. They were moving fast indicating that they were running. The first thing that they saw was a blazing fireball that was aid directly at Darren.
In a blink of an eye, Darren was surrounded by his warriors who were protecting him from danger. They could not let the alpha get hurt. Losing an alpha was like Losing the heads of every pack mber. They will be like headless chickens running around aimlessly. They all braced themselves for the impact.
A few screams could be heard and the sound of bones snapping could also be heard. So of the wolves protecting the alpha were hit and burned to near death and those in their beast form could no longer maintain it and shifted back to their human skin. While those in their human skin scread as they felt the fire burn on their skins.
After that, their enemies aligned before them standing on opposite sides with smirks on so of their faces. Darren’s face remained stoic with not even the slightest change but his eyes had turned crimson and the death aura around him had beco thicker. He had just suffered a fatal blow from his enemies and he was not smiling about it.
"Supre alpha Darren," A familiar voice spoke from the other end. "To be honest, I never thought you will receive us in person. I thought you will be too busy with the affairs of the other packs to be here." The voice continued talking moving forward and finally, they could see who it was that was talking.
"Sebastian," Darren called out venomously. He felt a bitter taste on his tongue as he called out that na. The wolves on Darren’s end growled at him when they saw him they couldn’t believe that their once gamma would betray them like this.
"In the flesh," Sebastian said standing in front of everyone else. "I had no idea how much power you had at your disposal back then, Darren, but I do now."
"And you think you can stop ?" Darren asked.
"Of course." Sebastian said and looked at the army behind him. " You can see that yourself."
"Your arrogance will be the death of you, Sebastian." Said, Darren.
"Look who is talking." Sebastian retorted. He glanced at the people behind him and then at Darren and smirked.
’We shall see." Darren said and steps forward. "On my command," he said as he looked at Logan who had been beside him all the while in shock. "Attack." he said and open the mind link to all his pack mbers so the could reach at will.
’Yes, Alpha’. They all answered through the mind link. This was their advantage over their opponents, they can communicate to each other as a pack even in their beast form while their opponents could not and have to rely on their instincts.
"Kill them all!" Sebastian shouted.
