The vampires stared at Dmitri who didn’t move out of their way and snarled at him baring their canines at him. He stared at them as they tried to intimidate him. They hadn’t said a word probably because they were yet to be fed. They didn’t talk much anyway.

As if realizing they could not get him intimidated, they turned their attention to the one whom they were trying to get to get and walked around while he smiled and turned around to watch the fun.

Lucinda watched as the vampires that looked like they would break with just a single step walked forward leaving the caskets that they laid before. They looked weird and inhumane compared to the other vampires walking around in the world. There was no way soone would see them and would not know that they were not humans. Seeing Dmitri step out of the way for them to walk past him toward her and Azrail, she frowned.

"I will kill them if you don’t stop them," Lucinda threatened and stepped back while Azrail remained standing in the sa position. Her threat did nothing to move the vampire lord who seed to be enjoying her running away from the fight. When she saw this, she stopped and glared.

The first thing she did was what she was told not to do, light the cave which blinded the vampires and they needed a minute to adjust their sight. These vampires didn’t like the sun and preferred to work at night, the blinding light of the sun along with the heat from it hurt them.

Dmitri frowned when she did that and frowned even more when one of them dropped to the ground with a hole in its chest. It was followed by another with a wooded stake in its chest as well. By now, Azrail stood aside and watched her. She didn’t seem to need his help proving to lord Dmitri that she was capable of killing them.

"That is enough," he yelled at her. It was no fun when she was cheating by blinding them and then attacking while they were disoriented.

"So you want to stop it now?" she asked as she dodged one that lunged at her. "Then make them stop, I don’t care about them being alive as much as you do," she said slashing off the head of the one that attacked her. "Three down, Lord Dmitri."

"Stop, all of you," Dmitru commanded and they stopped and turned in the direction of the one who dared to command them. Seeing thy he didn’t speak again they turned to the blood vessel that stood before in the form of a witch ready to go after her again. "I said enough," Dmitri yelled annoyed at them now.

They stopped once more and stared at him and his eyes turned crimson matching theirs. He walked closer to them and spoke once more, adding more force and authority to his voice.

"STOP. NOW."

Their expression tweaked. One of them opened its mouth to speak but no words could be heard.

"Your al will be here shortly, wait until then," he said and looked in the direction of the cave’s mouth. "Do not attack her again."

He wouldn’t have asked Leroy to bring in five minutes had he known that bus fun wouldn’t be fun at all. He enjoyed watching Azrail fight and he wanted to see to what extent he would go to protect the witch but who would have thought that she would make him stand by the side and watch her?

They didn’t look happy but they did but move. It seem they have realized who the vampire standing in front of them was and they could not disobey him. After a minute or two, the cave opened and footsteps could be heard walking in following another and another until nurous footsteps were approaching.

"Stop the light," Dmirti ordered looking at Lucinda who stuck out her tongue to him and he nearly lost his patience with her.

The lights went out with a flick of her finger and darkness returned to the cave. The footsteps ca to a stop at a distance and then the sound of soone stumbling could be heard and the cry of a woman in pain and then a loud thud could be heard as she fell.

She must have injured herself from the fall as the strong sll of blood filled the cave making the lure look in her direction. She looked around but could see nothing. She whimpered and started to cry but that only lasted for a minute, stopping g when she heard sothing walking in front of her and began scanning the place she was once more but just like before, it was useless.

Can’t he human rights as pushed in and the vampires growled because. Their full attention has been caught. More humans were then thrown in and the cave beca crowded. Seeing this, Lucunda devised she had seen enough. It was ti to leave. She touched Azrail’s arm and disappeared with him.

The cries of the humans could be heard as they were being torn or fiercely fed on by the creatures that they could not see even. They tried fighting whatever it was taking them but they could not shake them off no matter how hard they tried. Both n and won were thrown in until the cave beca filled and there was nearly no space for anymore.

Lucinda looked away from the cave, she didn’t want to look anymore she might end up pitying those humans. Whoever goes in there is sure to die imdiately.

"Don’t feel bad for them," Azrail said, walking to stand in front of her so she would stop at the cave. "They don’t pity us."

"I know," she said l, finally looking away and turning to face him. "I just can’t help it."

"You have a soft heart, I don’t. I can’t pity them after what they have done to and my people," Azrail said. He tucked a start strand of her hair behind her ear. "Lucinda," he called and closed the little gap between them.

"Don’t, please," Lucinda and took a step back from him. She looked at the vampires who were staring at them while so tried to act as if they were not interested but she knew they were listening to them.

"Alright, but co with ," he gave her his hand to take and stared at it for half a minute before placing her hand on his. He smiled and raised her hand to kiss her knuckles. "Thank you."
