Chuckkk!

His hand was severed, sliced cleanly off by a curved blade that spun through the air before flying back into the hands of Essa.

"I think... we have so balance to settle."

Dracula screeched, a sound between a roar and a shriek, before lunging forward with murderous intent.

Ophis collapsed onto the ground, coughing violently, her chest heaving as air finally rushed back into her lungs.

"Are you alright?" Raphael arrived at her side, her voice trembling with worry.

Ophis gasped before nodding her head, her face pale. "I-I am fine..." she whispered, though her body told another story. She looked at Raphael and her friend, her tone urgent. "You guys need to leave this place imdiately."

However—

"I am not going without him," Raphael said with a stubborn expression.

"And I am not going without her!" Raphael’s friend added with equal seriousness. Inwardly, though, ’I need my prince, to be honest... but let’s not break my sweet little friend’s heart.’

Honestly, they should have been terrified. They should have been paralysed by fear. But after everything they had seen... after staring into death so many tis, sothing inside had shifted.

Their fear had burned out!

Ophis looked at them strangely, unable to understand, before glancing toward the man still lying unconscious on the ground. "What about him?"

Raphael’s face turned guilty, but Raphael’s friend only snorted. "Who cares for that bastard? He was the reason I almost died down there. He deserves to die!"

"B-But—" Raphael tried to say sothing, but,

"If you want, take him and get away. But I ain’t fucking going to help him. Just because I’m a doctor doesn’t an I have to save soone who tried to kill ," Raphael’s friend interrupted with another sharp snort, her voice trembling with rage.

Sure, doctors were supposed to prioritise the life of another, no matter what they had done.

But this was reality... not so sacred story about good or bad.

And seriously...

What kind of ridiculous thing was this? Just because you were a doctor, did that an you had to follow your ethics blindly—even for soone who had almost ended your life?

If you did... then either sothing was wrong with your head... or you were too good, too naïve, to survive in this world.

Or worse... You were soone who had never felt betrayal, never felt the knife of true pain twist inside your heart.

Or... you just lonely one!!

Raphael clenched her fist. She too was surprised when her friend told the truth, but still—his life was there.

She was conflicted. She knew she needed to take him to the hospital, but her nephew was here... should she abandon him for the sake of a stranger?

She was confused, trapped in the storm of her ethics and fear!

She wanted to help the wounded man, but the truth of his nearly killing her friend made her stamr in hesitation. And even more... Leo was here.

She couldn’t just leave him alone, facing these monsters.

Thud!

Suddenly, a spiked weapon fell to the ground, rattling across the stone. Nergal staggered backwards, eyes bulging, as Leo’s foot had smashed right into his... balls?

Ouch!

But what else did Nergal have? The monster was still a beast, muscles like steel, his towering fra thick with strength. There was no way in hell Leo could kill him with just the scraps of power that barely strengthened his body.

"Hmm... f-fight... like a man... mmmfff—" Nergal’s voice broke into a twisted squeal, his face contorted into pure horror as he clutched his crotch with both hands, the expression on his face as if he were about to give birth.

Leo... in fact, felt the pain himself, even though he was the one who had kicked. His shin still ached from the impact. He had strengthened his leg for it, poured his mana into the strike, and yet—man, even imagining the pain made him twitch.

But he didn’t feel guilty... Not even a little!!

"In a fight... win is a win," he muttered coldly, before driving his katana downward.

The blade pierced into Nergal’s head, right at the temple—his weak point.

The monster froze, eyes bulging, before collapsing like a puppet with its strings cut.

Leo...

"Ha... ha... ha..."

Leo gasped rapidly, his chest burning as his lungs struggled to catch air. His body trembled, blood dripping from his lips, sweat running down his brow. His katana’s edge glead faintly under the moonlight as blood ran along the steel, staining his hand.

"I... I defeated one," he muttered between heavy pants.

Finally... he had managed to take down a figure of this level without anyone else’s help.

Even if his attack had been unethical for a man... but that thing wasn’t a man, right?

It was a freaking monster with two balls, that’s all!!

No more gender discrimination. Leo believed in equality—not only in humans but also in monsters!

He exhaled a hot breath, his lungs burning as steam rose faintly in the night air. He turned to the side and saw...

Valra’s flas kept flaring, coiling around the bat. Camazotz trembled and shrieked, his wings burning like torn parchnt, his body roasting in the inferno.

"BURN! BURN! BURN!!"

Valra chanted those words like a curse, her voice filled with fury, her flas blazing higher. She wanted to turn this bat into nothing but charred at.

It wasn’t just Leo who had been pushed beyond reason.... She too was furious.

She saw in her mind the mory of her beloved champion—his last stand, his courage, his devotion. She had watched him fight to the bitter end, protecting her with everything he had... as if that was the very aning of his existence.

Even at his last breath, he rose; he fought like... a true champion!

And yet... he had been defeated by this pathetic, fallen bat.

If only that darkness hadn’t wounded them! If only that cursed shadow hadn’t tipped the battle!

If only that darkness had never arrived.

She knew... she freaking knew, her champion would have smashed this thing into a paste.

"Arrhh!!" Camazotz scread, his scaled skin burning heavily as flas devoured him. His eyes muddled with unbearable heat, vision blurring as Valra unleashed hell upon him.

She kept firing, her hands trembling with fury, as if she had been saving this mana all along just to reduce him to ash.

Camazotz’s wings flapped furiously, trying to push the flas away. But the mont his wings spread wide, Valra roared and shot concentrated bursts of fire toward them. Each blast punched holes through his flesh, one after another, like bullets tearing through paper.

"Arrhh!!" he shrieked again, before crashing down, his body curling in smoke.

Leo sighed, before his twisted smile turned weakly toward Dracula—who was... well, not sure how to respond to any of this.

But Essa? She was rciful. She was going all out, cutting him limb by limb, almost like she was doing this on purpose.

"Take this freaking asshole!!" Essa shouted, her blade flashing before she severed his ankle. Her kick followed through, twisting his mangled body and slamming him to the ground like garbage.

"Opss," Leo flinched, feeling a flicker of pity for the pitiful Dracula who was being treated like a rag doll.

Oh god... she cut his thighs, his fingers, his abdon... even... no, no, she wasn’t that kind of girl.

She respected privacy. But still—

Chcckkk!

She cut off half his body below the waist!!

"Arrhh!!" Dracula groaned with pure agony, his scream rattling the broken street as blood poured out of his already weakened body.

Raphael and her friend stood frozen, watching the scene unfold.

The once-proud hunters, who had played with their prey’s emotions, treating lives like toys, playing hide and seek... and were now turned into prey themselves.

"This is what you call karma," Raphael’s friend muttered in a cold tone. Then her gaze turned, softening slightly, to her prince, Leo... who stood combing his hair back with his blood-soaked hand. Crimson dripped slowly from his strands, falling in perfect slow motion... gods, he looked almost too sexy like that.

Her throat tightened. And before she could stop herself, Raphael’s friend turned to Raphael and asked hesitantly, "I-Is he... your boyfriend?"

Raphael blinked, for a second, she processed her words before heat exploded across her cheeks as she blushed heavily. "W-What? W-What are you talking about! He is my nephew!! Leo!!"

Raphael’s friend blinked in shock, eyes widening. "What? Leo? That little guy with the cute little pee-pee?" she blurted, staring at him with utter disbelief.

Her mind reeled at how much he had changed, how impossible it was to connect the boy she rembered with the man standing before her.

Just as they thought everything was over—

Everyone flinched at once, as if a sudden weight pressed down on their bodies. A crushing pressure slamd into their lungs.

Even Raphael and her friend staggered beneath it, their knees trembling.

Except Leo... He frowned, his sharp gaze cutting across the battlefield, wondering why everyone suddenly froze. The answer ca when—

"I told you not to make a scene."

A voice, indifferent and cold, echoed through the street.

Clang... Clang...

tallic scratching resounded as the atmosphere shifted. The air itself turned chill, deadly. Red flares of energy shimred into existence, casting the broken street in blood light.

And then... she stepped forward.

A platinum-haired woman, each strand glowing faintly under the moon. Her emotionless crimson eyes burned into everyone.
