"Did it attack us because of this?" Yue Li suddenly realized, standing aside.

Now, that question has a definite answer through inquiries with contracted Spiritual Beasts.
Uncontracted Spiritual Beasts possess a trait called "Convergence."
When they reach the state that requires advancent, they innately feel the mystical attraction of the resources needed for advancent. By following this allure to obtain the resources one by one, they can complete the evolution, and such a trait disappears once the Spiritual Beast is contracted.
It was for this reason that Qin Chuan had this question.
Unexpectedly, after he asked, Little Frost shook her head.
