Chapter 400 - Planning A Visit
"Hahaha! They have started getting itchy and arrogant, aren't they?!"
Zero started laughing out loud when he heard the nas that Charon had ntioned.
Then he looked at Charon with a cold glint and said, "Leave them be for now, but the mont that they are successful with their rger, teach them a lesson"
Charon looked at him and gave him a small nod saying, "Alright, then I'll leave them be for the ti being then, sir"
Charon had turned around and was just about to exit the room when Zero suddenly called out to him saying, "Oh Charon, don't forget to recomnd Michael to one of our prestigious clients. It seems that brat is being too carefree and a little annoying lately, yeah?"
Charon turned his head and smiled, "Of course, sir"
Then he exited the room and chuckled to himself while walking down the luxurious hallway, thinking, 'He's getting childish the older he gets. He really should get himself a wife, he old~'
'But I've noticed about this lately, that brat is always present with anything big that happened in the world lately, be it his presence big or small. So was it a coincidence or he's just a natural troublemaker wherever he goes?'
"And on the off chance that he's actually doing it on purpose, then he's one cunning young fox" Charon mumbled with a chuckle as he left the elevator after it reached the first floor.
anwhile, Michael was already on his way back ho with the two pups, alongside a new passenger who is currently sitting on the driver's side.
"You really plan to take care of them?" Michael said as he gave Amanda a quick glance.
"Of course! Why wouldn't I?!" Amanda answered cheerfully while hugging the two wriggling puppies in her arms as they tried to lick her face.
"Did Jenny even agree to you adopting the two dogs?" Michael asked with a slight frown.
Amanda looked at him, and she hesitated for a second before opening her mouth saying, "About that, isn't it better if they live in your house?"
Screech!
The car suddenly ca to an abrupt halt as Michael quickly stepped on the break and looked at Amanda and said, "What~?"
Beep! Beep! Beep!
"F*cker! Are you trying to get yourself killed?!" a motorist riding behind them yelled in anger as he had almost crashed on the back of Michael's car.
Thankfully, there wasn't any traffic or it would have certainly caused a small accident!
At the sa ti, because his car windows are up, Michael couldn't clearly hear what the motorist said or he would have yelled back in spite. So he just carried on driving while Amanda looked at her boyfriend with a sorry look on her face.
"Sorry, it's just...Jenny is allergic to dogs babe" Amanda finally spilled the beans after a short silence in the car, and her face looked so pitiful as she gazed at Michael with those puppy eyes of hers.
"She is? So that explains why she looks scared everyti she sees one. I even thought it was so kind of a trauma from her past" Michael said, as mories of Jenny avoiding dogs surfaced in his mind.
Amanda couldn't help but laugh when she suddenly thought of Jenny's jump scares from encountering dogs and said, "Yeah~, she's quite pitiful as she even really likes dogs"
Then Michael glanced at her from the corner of his eyes and said, "You...you're not allergic with anything, right?"
He was curious, because as far as he could rember, she should not have any allergies. But he still wanted to ask her, just in case she didn't bother ntioning these things when they were together before.
Amanda thought for a second before answering, "Hmm...I don't think so. I don't recall having any allergies of so sort"
"That's good then, at least you wouldn't need to miss out on so delicious food if your allergy happens to be related to food. So it's better that you don't have one though" Michael said with a sigh of relief hearing what Amanda said.
After dropping Amanda off at his place, Michael quickly had a change of clothes and drove to his university to attend a class of his for the afternoon.
Class has just ended a couple of minutes ago, and Michael is currently hanging with the two girls, Maine and Lisa at the canteen when he suddenly noticed a girl silently weeping in the corner while watching sothing on her phone.
"Huh? Why is she suddenly crying?" Michael couldn't help but say before taking a bite at the hamburger in his hands.
"Oh, you haven't heard of it yet?" Maine said.
Michael looked at her and said, "About what?"
Lisa chuckled and said, "The term of the president of Pearn Nation is ending soon"
Michael looked at the two girls with this funny look on his face. It's that face when soone suddenly becos confused when the question he had asked doesn't have any connection with their answer from his point of view.
Maine laughed when he saw Michael's face as she rembered that she also had the sa kind of reaction when she was also curious about it.
"So...how does that relate?"
"Well, it's because their leader is well loved by its citizens as he had brought dignity to their country when he beca the president, and so along with the nurous changes he had brought in their poor country, the people grew to love him because he was the only competent leader in the 30 years that the Great Ferdinand was forced to step down. Ever since he beca the leader, people had quoted that the Pearn Nation is starting to rise from its ashes to beco a Tiger once again. That's why they are sad to see him go as they didn't know what would happen after he steps down from his position" Lisa said, and everyti she hears about his story, she would always have this feeling of admiration and respect for that president.
"Ohh…" Michael couldn't help but let out a soft groan as he looked at the girl weeping on the corner. It wasn't just because he was amazed, but he had just rembered sothing that he had almost forgotten that happened previously in his previous life.
'Oh sh*t, how could I forget that Rodrigo is currently the president of Pearn Nation? I should look into my schedule and see if I can sneakily visit him later' Michael thought as he had decided to set aside a ti later to fly to Pearn Nation and visit his old friend before he steps down from his position.
