333 Worried

He turned his head and with the help of the moonlight, he saw Wufu’s extrely unsightly sleeping posture. One foot was on Sifu’s body and the other was on Sanfu’s body. No matter which older brother, he had to remind himself that they were still fine in this life. The mont he stopped counting his breath, fear would slowly seep in. After a while, he finally cald down.

The mories of his past life were deeply ingrained in his mind.

“Xue Yan, what’s wrong? Did you have a nightmare?” Xue Sifu woke up when he noticed movent beside him. He opened his eyes in a daze and saw Xue Yan shivering as if he couldn’t calm down.

“Yes.” Xue Yan said honestly. “I’m fine now. You can go back to sleep,” he said.

“Okay.” And so, Xue Sifu fell asleep again.

Xue Yan tried to lie down again, but after a while, he couldn’t fall asleep. He got up and got off the bed quietly. He then walked out of the room that was supposed to be a kitchen.

It was already midnight, and it was so quiet that even the sound of a needle dropping could be heard. There were no lights either, but fortunately, the moon was full, so he had a faint cast of light.

Xue Yan walked to the steps in front of the central room and sat down. He buried his head and pinched the space between his eyebrows for a long ti before he raised his head again.

In his previous life, he had countless nightmares like this. However, in his previous life, his family was no longer around. In this life, his family was still around.

He was in so much pain knowing that he was the only one left in his family. Sotis, he even thought that the emperor poisoned his wine as a gift to free him from his duties. If he didn’t have a high position and the world wasn’t on his shoulders, he probably wouldn’t have been able to hold on until then.

Jiang Yue’s hearing was quite sharp, especially in the middle of the night. She could hear a slight noise outside, so she opened her eyes.

After listening carefully, it didn’t feel like a thief had co, but like soone in the house had woken up.

She got up, gently opened the door, and walked out of the room. As soon as she stood in the corridor, she saw Xue Yan on the steps of the main room. One hand was on his knee, and the other was pressing between his eyebrows, but his eyes seed to be fixed on the bright moon in the sky.

It wasn’t chilly during the day, but at this mont, perhaps because night had cald and cooled, it made his entire body shiver. He felt as if he was the only one left in the world. He also felt like he was in the abyss, but no one could help him.

She hesitated for a mont, but still walked over.

Xue Yan wasn’t surprised to see her. She lowered her voice and said apologetically, “I just ca out for a drink. I didn’t expect to wake you up.”

“I’m fine.”

Jiang Yue didn’t mind at all and even sat down beside him. After watching the moon with him for a while, she said, “You seem to have a lot on your mind.”

“A little.” Xue Yan smiled. He paused for a mont and beca despondent. His expression seed distant, and his tone was a little ethereal. “But it’s all in my past.”

“You can’t get it out of your head?”

“I need ti.” He said honestly. After all, he had lived for more than 30 years in his previous life, and it had only been a short while since he reincarnated. It would take so ti for him to completely let go of his past.

Jiang Yue did not say anything else since he was aware of the situation. She only gave a curt reply. Then, she sat quietly with him.

Xue Yan buried his head again and massaged his eyebrows for a while. However, the person sitting next to him made him feel much better.

After sitting for a while, Xue Yan finally ca out of the distressing thoughts. He looked at the moonlight and let out a small sigh.
