Chapter 1856: Chapter 1856: Can Your Heart Be Any Bigger?

Hearing this, Xue Sifu also stroked his chin, “With your Little Uncle and Little Aunty covering for her, honestly, I’m quite curious to know who she’s dating.”

At that mont, Xue Bai said, “Ganggang ntioned before that she had a crush on soone called Bai Xing. It must be him.”

Xue Shi imdiately said, “Right, it’s him, the one called Bai Xing. There can’t be anyone else. Ganggang wouldn’t fall for soone else that quickly.” He then added annoyedly, “Damn! Had I known they were together, I wouldn’t have worried about embarrassing Ganggang that day. I insisted on eting the person! Now look, they’ve been dating for over a month, and I haven’t even seen his face.”

Xue Sifu said, “Sooner or later you’ll et him. Your Little Uncle and Little Aunty are helping out. Clearly, he’s trustworthy and not just casually dating Ganggang. When you do et him, as her eldest uncle, why not just intimidate him a bit?”

“That won’t do,” Xue Shi imdiately objected. “Ganggang would feel so awkward then. And my parents definitely won’t let off the hook.”

Coincidently, Xue Erfu had co to town today to shop and stopped by the main shop. Just as he entered, he overheard the conversation and asked with a smile, “What have you done now that neither I nor your mother will let you off the hook?”

“Father, father!” Xue Shi imdiately rushed toward him.

Xue Erfu was quite amused, “It’s rare for you to cling to like a plaster. Tell , what’s the matter?” He jokingly glanced at his younger brother and his nephew Xue Bai.

Xue Sifu just smiled.

Xue Bai just gave a naive smile.

Xue Shi blurted out, “Dad, if it weren’t for you coming to town, I wouldn’t even talk about it. Ganggang even asked Little Uncle and Little Aunty to keep it from other family mbers. It’s just that you happened to co to town.”

Upon hearing this, Xue Erfu raised his eyebrow, “What, is sothing wrong with Ganggang?” he asked, surveying the vast main shop. “Where is she? Why don’t I see her?”

“You promise you won’t talk about it when you get ho, including to Mom, then I’ll tell you,” said Xue Shi.

“Still bargaining?” Xue Erfu found it amusing. But seeing his younger brother and nephew, Xue Bai, also surprisingly unified in their silence, he finally said, “All right, all right. Say it, and even if I go ho, I won’t spill it to anyone else, including your mom. Is that okay now?”

“Okay, okay,” Xue Shi said with a teasing grin, “Ganggang said she disappeared for two days. She was probably off dating.”

“” Xue Erfu was silent for a long while before slowly uttering a single word, “Damn…” His mind still rembering how last year Shoushou had run off with the carriage. “This year she runs off too? Am I to expect you to run next year?”

“I’m not even close to that yet. Besides, it’s not running off, at most I’d bring soone’s daughter back.” Xue Shi replied irritably. “Besides, Ganggang didn’t run off this year; she must have been dating soone last December, she just kept it a secret.”

“Who is he?” Xue Erfu was more concerned about that. His children Xue Yan and Yue Bao had been helping out, so the guy must be his future son-in-law.

“I don’t know, I’ve never t him, but I know he’s called Bai Xing.”

“Bai Xing? That’s a decent na.” After a pause, he added, “If you don’t know, then you don’t, but if he wasn’t a decent person, Ganggang wouldn’t have asked your Little Uncle and Little Aunty for such help. He must be truly comndable.”

“Is that it?” Xue Shi couldn’t believe it. “Dad, can your heart get any bigger?”

Xue Erfu laughed and said, “If my heart were any smaller, I wouldn’t be the most relaxed, carefree, and happiest among the six brothers.”
