After returning ho, Han Qiwu eagerly took the completed garbage recycling machine out of the storage compartnt and placed it in the spot he had already chosen.
The recycling machine looked a bit like the food machine from Teletubbies. Its input and output ports were equipped with thick, dark-colored pipes, giving it a very cool appearance.
Walking up to the recycling machine, Han Qiwu gently touched its input port.
[Please insert any type of garbage]
Although Han Qiwu was tempted to see what would happen if he put sothing useful inside...
He couldn’t bear to do it.
Too precious.
Every stitch and thread is hard-earned!
"Let’s start with so scrap wood." Han Qiwu selected a piece of decayed wood from the storage box and fed it into the recycling machine.
[Recycling garbage, estimated ti: 1 hour]
"That long?" Han Qiwu was a bit exasperated. These machines were nice and all, but each one took quite a bit of ti to operate.
Looks like if he wanted to improve efficiency in the future, he’d need to build more machines.
Taking advantage of the recycling ti, Han Qiwu, wearing a raincoat and carrying an axe, walked to the native trees in the yard and began chopping them down.
"I wonder if tonight will be a moonless night. Brother Wu Gang must be craving so wine, right?" Han Qiwu thought to himself while swinging his axe at the trees.
As he chopped, the spider puppet beside him dutifully continued cleaning up dried branches and woodchips from the ground. After compressing them into small blocks, it climbed onto other trees to hunt for pests.
After chopping for over fifty minutes, Han Qiwu’s eyes suddenly lit up.
[Wood] ×2
[Amber] ×1.
"Amber again?" Han Qiwu was a bit surprised. He glanced up at the sky, thinking that there wasn’t even any sunlight, so it couldn’t be from the sun’s influence.
He took out the amber, just planning to take a look at it, but what he saw shocked him: this amber didn’t seem to need sunlight to reveal its properties. They were imdiately on display.
The pale yellow amber encased a long black tail stinger tightly inside. The stinger looked extrely sharp, and even after ages of entombnt, it still glead brilliantly.
[Ancient Bee Needle Amber]
[Usage: Material]
[Special Effect - Motivation: When placed near a beehive, production can be increased]
[Special Effect - Revival: After absorbing sufficient energy, the Ancient Bee Queen will be reborn in the hive]
[Remark: Contains the stinger of an Ancient Bee Queen]
"An Ancient Bee Stinger? And it has two special effects?" Han Qiwu was pleasantly surprised. Putting away his axe, he walked over to the beehive and carefully placed the amber there.
After placing the amber, he took a few steps back, keeping his eyes fixed on it.
Before long, the bees in the hive also discovered the amber. A few daring worker bees cautiously hopped onto it and took a little dance around.
After dancing, these worker bees seed unusually invigorated. They flew into the air and drew figure-eights rapidly with their rear ends. Then, they crazily communicated with their fellow bees, and after a few more dances, they quickly flew off to flowers outside, industriously collecting nectar.
Soon enough, wave after wave of worker bees hopped onto the Ancient Bee Needle Amber and then rushed off to the flowers.
[Ancient Bee Needle Effect - Motivation Activated: Honey production per cycle increased by 50%]
"50%? That much? Could there be sothing special inside this amber?" Han Qiwu nodded in satisfaction. "Judging by this stinger, the Ancient Bee’s size must have been much larger than these little black bees. Their mobility is probably much stronger, and maybe they can even produce more honey."
Just then, the recycling tir hit its mark, and Han Qiwu walked over to the garbage recycling machine.
As he approached, he noticed three circular wooden shadows overlapping above the machine. He reached out and tapped the output port.
[Lumber] ×8.
"That much?" Han Qiwu nodded in satisfaction.
This was true waste-to-treasure magic. There were over ten pieces of scrap wood back ho. If they were all converted, it would amount to nearly a hundred pieces of lumber.
"But this conversion ti is a bit inconvenient. One hour—I can’t just sit here an hour every ti watching it work." Han Qiwu mused to himself as he rummaged through the storage box for more garbage to recycle.
"Soaked newspaper? I’ll get to that in a bit."
"Worn-out shoes? Could recycle them into a nest for Little Lightning?"
"Bent glasses? Now that’s interesting. You’re up!"
Once decided, Han Qiwu tossed the bent glasses into the recycling machine.
[Recycling garbage, estimated ti: 1 hour]
Ti to chop wood again!
An hour later, Han Qiwu walked back to the recycling machine, full of anticipation, and saw a pyramid-shaped purple quartz shadow floating above it. He quickly tapped the output port.
[Transparent Quartz] ×2
[Transparent Quartz]
[Usage: Material]
[Value: 200 Gold]
[Remark: Its transparency makes it ideal for making containers]
Han Qiwu never expected that bent glasses could be recycled into quartz.
What an impressive conversion!
He often fished up such garbage while out fishing.
Thankfully, he never minded the trouble back then. Every ti he finished fishing, he’d pack the trash in small plastic bags and bring it back ho for safekeeping.
Now all that effort paid off!
With the quartz in hand, Han Qiwu eagerly ran to the mayonnaise machine, thinking, "Since quartz is used as a container, as long as the mayonnaise isn’t done yet, it should work if I toss it in."
He then tried feeding the transparent quartz into the mayonnaise machine through its input port.
After receiving the quartz, the mayonnaise machine paused briefly and then displayed two lines of instructions.
[Current Work Status: Mixing]
[Transparent Quartz Successfully Inserted]
"It works as expected." Han Qiwu grinned. He had placed an egg into the machine earlier that morning, so by bedti, it should be ready to take out.
Then he would know the effect of using a container.
Back at the recycling machine, Han Qiwu tossed the soaked newspaper into the input port to see what it would turn into later.
After that, he furrowed his brow in thought, then walked into the house to retrieve the napping Little Lightning. With a cheerful grin, he said to the groggy Little Lightning, "Good Little Lightning, co here. Let teach you how to use this fun thing. If you play with it, I’ll give you sothing delicious."
Little Lightning: "?????"
This doesn’t look like a toy!
Don’t think you can fool !
Fifty minutes later.
A pale-faced Little Lightning obediently carried two pieces of cloth-like material from the output port and flew to Han Qiwu’s side.
"Good job. I’ll make you so Thunderfish in a few days." Han Qiwu bead as he kicked the worn-out shoes into a corner.
Seeing Han Qiwu’s actions, Little Lightning let out a breath of relief, extended one claw, and tossed a small rock into the recycling machine.
"Life is just too hard."
