He exhaled, absently scratching the back of his neck. "Maybe," he said. His tone was flat, not dismissive, but distracted.
Yuna caught the shift in his mood. Her brow furrowed. "Sothing wrong?"
Jae didn’t answer right away. His mind had wandered again to sothing that had nagged at him all day. He shifted his gaze to the side, staring at the bookshelf across the room, eyes unfocused.
"I didn’t see Byun in class today," he said eventually.
There was a pause. Yuna studied him, then sat up straighter on the bed.
Before he could react, she did sothing unexpected. Without a word, she moved forward on her knees and climbed onto his lap, her thighs straddling his.
The motion was smooth and casual, but it brought her close enough that their faces were inches apart.
Jae blinked, the surprise registering in his eyes more than on his face. "What are you doing?"
"I want to kiss you," she said, voice soft but steady, looking right at him.
He smirked faintly, tilting his head. "Then go ahead."
She didn’t hesitate.
Leaning in, Yuna pressed her lips to his. The kiss started slow but quickly deepened, her fingers curling lightly at the back of his neck.
Her body pressed closer, and Jae let his hands rest at her hips, grounding them both.
Her kiss was warr than he expected. Hungrier too.
She pulled away after a mont, breath slightly caught, a faint pink rising in her cheeks.
Jae t her eyes with a half-lidded gaze and said dryly, "Do you like that much? Willing to cut off my breath forever?"
Yuna’s blush deepened.
"I didn’t an to..."
He chuckled, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Relax. I’m not complaining."
Still, the shadow of his earlier thought returned. He glanced toward the window, fingers absently tapping against her side.
"I was saying... Byun. I haven’t seen him all day. Not in class, not during lunch. He’s not the type to just disappear."
Yuna shifted slightly, adjusting her weight on his lap. "Soone ntioned seeing his older brother on campus this morning. The one who serves under the Duke directly."
Jae’s brows lifted. "His brother ca to get him?"
Yuna nodded. "It happens sotis. The Duke occasionally pulls Byun out of school when he needs sothing urgent. Sotis it’s a ssage, sotis a personal errand, sotis... missions."
Jae frowned. "Missions?"
She looked at him, shrugging lightly. "It’s not public knowledge, but a few of us know. Byun’s been trained since childhood. His father uses him when he needs sothing discreet, or soone he trusts."
Jae nodded slowly, digesting the information. That would explain the sudden absence. Still, sothing about it rubbed at him. He didn’t like not knowing. Not being able to check on a friend.
Silence settled for a mont, the weight of the conversation lingering.
Then Jae looked back at Yuna, his smirk returning. "Tired of kissing already?"
Her eyes narrowed slightly, then she shook her head. "Impossible."
Before he could say another word, she pinned his wrists down on the mattress with both hands, leaning over him, eyes locked on his lips.
Then she kissed him again, harder this ti, more confident.
He chuckled into the kiss but didn’t resist. Her grip wasn’t strong enough to hold him down if he wanted to break free, but he let her have her mont.
Her body was warm against his, and the way she leaned into the kiss told him she wasn’t just teasing this ti.
It lasted longer than the first. Their breathing synced, their movents falling into rhythm. Her lips moved with his, her breath catching each ti he tilted his head or deepened the angle.
She tasted faintly of fruit, like strawberry and sothing else, sothing uniquely hers.
Eventually, her hands loosened. Her fingers slid down from his wrists to his forearms, then to his chest.
Her grip softened, and that was all the opportunity Jae needed.
He shifted his weight, turning quickly his body quickly.
In one smooth motion, he flipped them over, pressing her down against the bed so he hovered over her.
The grin on his face widened when he saw the startled look in her eyes, not fear, but excitent and a little anticipation.
Before she could say anything, he leaned down and kissed her again, this ti with him in control.
His hands slid along her sides, slow and steady, as he began to move his hips, not thrusting, not serious, but a slow, teasing grind that made her gasp into the kiss.
"Ohh.." she gasped into his mouth
The motion sent faint jolts of pleasure through her body, and she clutched at the sheets beneath her.
It was subtle but suggestive, just enough friction to make her feel everything.
Her face turned red, heat spreading across her cheeks and down her neck. Her eyes fluttered shut as her body reacted to the new sensation.
She was still kissing him, but her breath hitched every few seconds.
Each slow grind of his hips against hers introduced a kind of pleasure she clearly hadn’t expected, unfamiliar and intense, but not overwhelming.
Jae didn’t speak. He just let the silence fill the space between them, letting her feel everything as it ca.
He then dipped lower, trailing kisses down her jawline, then to the curve of her neck. He moved slowly, deliberately, leaving a trail of warmth in his wake.
With each kiss, her breathing grew more shallow , and her fingers dug lightly into his arms, as if trying to hold onto sothing solid.
Oh Jae.." she groaned.
By the ti his lips reached the hollow of her collarbone, she was visibly trembling from how new it all felt.
She swallowed hard, eyes half-lidded.
"Jae..." she breathed, unsure what she ant to say, or if she needed to say anything at all.
He didn’t answer. He just pressed another kiss to her neck, slower this ti, then another, moving up toward her ear, the trail of heat leaving butterflies in her stomach.
