Haoli, determined, lightly tapped his toes and leaped in front of the beggar, reaching out to grab him. The nimble beggar flipped over and shook off his hand, even grappling with Haoli.
Haoli was surprised. The little beggar knew so decent moves.
But there was no ti for contemplation. He put all his might into the fight. The already bustling street grew livelier as people flocked to watch this unprecedented scuffle, betting among themselves.
Although the little beggar had so fierce moves, his strength didn’t seem to match, and after dozens of moves, he was starting to not keep up. Wu Haoli didn’t give him any chance and clamped down on his right hand. Ziyu was fuming inside, this man was simply insulting her character!

Wu Haoli imdiately found this girl amusing; her brain must be addled, all tied up and still stressing how pretty she is, “So according to you, wouldn’t I be at a loss if I didn’t do sothing to you?”
Ziyu’s face turned white as she shook her head vigorously, “No, no, no! I was just talking nonsense, I am actually very ugly, really. Even my parents say giving birth to a daughter like is a disgrace!”
Wu Haoli was instantly amused, “Lady, your brain must have been squeezed by a door, to co out with such wit. You should count yourself lucky to have run into today; else, if it were soone else, you’d be done for.”
Ziyu, annoyed, retorted, “You speak as if you’re sothing great! If you really didn’t want to do anything to , why did you tie up?!”
Wu Haoli raised an eyebrow, “You just slapped across the face, and I’m not one to suffer a loss easily. If you had just apologized nicely, that would have been the end of it. Seeing how tough you’re talking, I won’t bother myself unnecessarily. You can dry yourself out here; if I stayed, you’d probably say I had ulterior motives.”
With that, he walked away without looking back.
Ziyu suddenly panicked. If he left her here like this, what would she do if real villains ca along!

Wu Haoli had only intended to scare her a bit, for being so oblivious to the ways of the world. But after all, she was just a young lady; he wasn’t going to hold it against her. He promptly drew the curved knife from his waist and cut through the ropes.
“You can go. Don’t bother again,” Wu Haoli said.
Ziyu thanked him profusely, “Thank you, thank you so much. You are my savior, truly a person with a Buddha’s heart.”
No sooner had the words left her mouth than she swung a blow at Wu Haoli.
