Chapter 249: Chapter 250 She Knows You Wouldn’t Dare Touch Her_1
“You!” He Suxue was so angry she wanted to stamp her foot.
Muniang couldn’t care less about her, turned around to walk away, but then heard He Suxue shouting at the top of her voice, “Do you think that just because I’ll return to the capital today, you can rest easy? Let
tell you, as long as I am here, Yu Ze will have to look after
for life. Do you think marrying him will allow you to comfortably enjoy wealth and honor? Dream on!”
Muniang’s heart jolted hard; this was the thorn in her side. As long as He Suxue existed, the problems between her and Yu Ze could never be resolved!
When He Suxue saw that Muniang was stunned, she beca smug, and her smile was tinged with mockery, “Are you waiting for Yu Ze to take you back to the capital and enter you into the family register? Let
tell you, on the day you enter, the Yu Family will also invite
in with a grand sedan chair. Lady Yu dotes on
dearly, and she has already promised that even if Yu Ze marries you, she will make
his Consort. Do you really think you can securely hold on to the title of Princess? Nothing but a brute village girl without half a brain. I bet I can pull you down and chase you out of the Yu Family within a year, believe it or not?”
Muniang’s face gradually turned pale. Yu Ze’s Consort? He had not even officially married her, and this woman was already preparing to enter his household.
“What’s the matter? Can’t accept it? Look at you, obviously a village girl who hasn’t seen the world. Don’t tell
you actually think Yu Ze will marry only you in this lifeti? What a joke!” He Suxue mocked rcilessly.
Muniang sneered coldly, “A Consort, in plain terms, is just a concubine. What exactly are you using to flaunt in front of ?”
He Suxue was so choked up that she couldn’t speak, and her face turned beet red, “You!”
“What are you doing here?!” Yu Ze said sternly.
He Suxue jumped in fright and hurriedly said, “I, I, I was just—”
“I told you that you were supposed to return to the capital first thing this morning,” Yu Ze said with a stern face.
“I didn’t, I don’t want to go back. The road is so long, I’m scared—”
Jin Feng arrived at this mont and imdiately admitted guilt upon seeing Yu Ze, “I am incompetent, Sir. I failed to keep an eye on Miss He just now.”
Yu Ze glanced at him indifferently, “After you send Miss He back to the capital, co back and receive fifty military lashes.”
Jin Feng offered no protest, “Yes, Sir!”
Yu Ze looked towards He Suxue, his gaze ice-cold, “Are you going back or not?”
He Suxue bit her lip, “No!”
Yu Ze said coldly, “Jin Feng, tie her up and take her back directly. If she escapes again, don’t bother to see
again.” The implication was he could go directly to accept his death.
A soldier who can’t even control one woman, losing her repeatedly, what face does he have left to live?
Jin Feng’s heart tightened, and he said formally, “I shall obey the order!”
Without any further ado, he disregarded He Suxue’s status and grabbed her, planning to find a rope and tie her up. He had already disappointed Yu Ze once, how could he fail again?
He Suxue looked at Yu Ze in disbelief, furious to the point of madness, “How dare you treat
like this, on what grounds are you tying
up, by what right?!”
But Yu Ze did not pay attention to her. With a cold look, he watched as Jin Feng dragged her away. Only then did he turn to Muniang, “My wife—”
Muniang’s expression had already cooled, “Don’t call
that. I don’t want a husband like you.”
Yu Ze quickly grabbed hold of Muniang, “What’s wrong? Did she say sothing to anger you? Don’t mind her, she’s full of nonsense.”
Muniang looked at him coolly, “Your mother has already acknowledged her as the future bride. Is this still nonsense? She said she has already reserved the position of Consort for herself and plans to sweep , the legitimate wife, out of the house within a year.”
Yu Ze frowned, “Muniang, do you think anyone in the world can influence my decisions? Moreover, my mother is not an unreasonable person; she has always respected my decisions. If she agreed this ti, it’s probably because of He Suxue’s ploy. As long as I explain things clearly to her, naturally, it won’t be a problem.”
These explanations seed to be of no use. After He Suxue’s commotion, the slight brightness in Muniang’s mood instantly darkened, and any touch of emotion that had erged for Yu Ze plumted below zero.
“I don’t care whether you marry her or not!”
“Muniang, rest assured, she’s just trying to irritate you on purpose. Whether I marry her or not is definitely up to . I said I would only marry you, and that ans only you.”
Muniang gave him a sidelong glance, “Yes, she just loves to fuss and irritate , leaving a knot in my heart before she leaves, as if she intends to irritate
to death. But Yu Ze, where does she get the confidence to keep causing such a fuss again and again? It’s because of you, she’s sure that you wouldn’t dare to touch her!”
Yu Ze had a pained look on his face and said helplessly, “Muniang, can we not always dwell on this? I really only have a sense of duty toward He Suxue. It’s a promise. I’ve never been at peace over these years. If I can’t even satisfy this small request, I really can’t do it.”
Seeing Yu Ze like this, Muniang also felt a pang of conscience. He had his difficulties too; perhaps she should be more understanding. But then she thought of He Suxue’s repeated provoking behavior, and Muniang’s face darkened again. She just couldn’t swallow her pride!
“Let’s go back to the village,” Muniang said coolly.
“Shall we not visit the Embroidery House?”
Muniang gave him a look, “Not in the mood!”
Yu Ze was crying inside. He was so close to pacifying his wife, but now things were ssed up again. If only he had known, he would have had Jin Feng tie her up and bring her back yesterday, then he wouldn’t have all these troubles today!
Upon their return, it was just in ti for lunch. Mrs. Lin had thought that Muniang would visit the Embroidery House and wouldn’t be back for lunch, so she was surprised to see them return so soon. She hurriedly asked Hong Luo to bring a few more sets of bowls and chopsticks.
“Why are you back so early? Was there nothing to see at the Embroidery House?”
Muniang glanced at Yu Ze before saying, “We didn’t go.”
“Why didn’t you go there?” Mrs. Lin asked.
Muniang pursed her lips and said nothing. Qinghe pulled at Mrs. Lin’s sleeve and shook her head at her. Mrs. Lin then realized that sothing must have happened, as her daughter didn’t look well. Not wanting to irritate her further, she stopped and her gaze towards Yu Ze beca filled with bla.
After all, Mrs. Lin was a traditional person who always felt that no matter what, the marriage could not be called off. It wasn’t because she was impressed by Yu Ze’s family status, but because she believed that a woman’s life was ruined if she divorced. Unhappy in her own life, she naturally hoped her daughter could have a man who would be devoted to her from start to finish.
So even if Yu Ze was montarily confused, Mrs. Lin still hoped her daughter could forgive him, and that it was most important for the couple to live a good life together.
