The fluffy touch was soft and seed to reach the very bottom of Mo Yan’s heart, miraculously lifting her spirits from the doldrums.

In such an era, so things couldn’t be changed simply by finding them distasteful. After all, she was just an ordinary person. Could she alone really stand against the feudal rites and education that had been established over thousands of years?

Dwelling on it was futile; better to live well and make oneself strong. If she encountered a woman facing misfortune in the future, she could lend a hand. That would be an act of rit...

The three intelligent beasts sensed the change in Mo Yan and playfully began to frolic with her. Little Flower and Mao Tuan kept showing off, chasing their own tails, tussling and rolling into a ball, trying all sorts of antics to amuse their owner.

"Hahaha! Mao Tuan, you really are too silly. Can’t you use your paws to pull down the cloth over your head?"

Mo Yan pointed at Mao Tuan, who was retreating with a piece of black cloth over its head, bumping into walls and the stone table, and she laughed until tears stread down her face.

The creature was indeed simple-minded; no matter how many tis they played this ga, it never learned how to remove the black cloth. It was clear that the knot Little Flower had made wasn’t tight.

anwhile, Little Flower was darting excitedly from side to side, howling away, clearly making fun of Mao Tuan.

Dabai stood aside, looking on with cold contempt at the crazed Little Flower. He didn’t conceal his disdain. With such foolish behavior, he didn’t want to sire pups with it. He did not want his offspring to include such a dimwit!

Unaware of Dabai’s thoughts, Little Flower, seeing that it didn’t want to play, continued to pounce on Dabai, nibble on its ears, tug on its tail, and tirelessly "harass" Dabai with full energy.

At first, Dabai could ignore it, but as it happened repeatedly and its sleek fur beca disheveled, it finally lost its patience. It chased after Little Flower and gave it a thorough thrashing until Little Flower transford from a majestic silver wolf into a grimy "earth dog." Only then did Dabai cease its one-sided "abuse"!

But Little Flower seed quite content. Covered in dirt, it kept circling Dabai, making appeasing whimpers. Even though Dabai pushed it away with an unceremonious palm, it remained undeterred.

Apparently, the creature wasn’t just fond of roughhousing; it was also quite the masochist!

Mo Yan’s laughter didn’t stop, and eventually, she laughed until tears flowed. The sounds of their playful antics perated the vast night, carrying far and wide...

In the following days, Mo Yan didn’t go out but kept an eye on the affairs of Lao Mo’s House. She didn’t expect, however, that the shalessness of Lao Mo’s House would reach a new low.

As Mo Yan predicted, when Lao Mo’s House spoke of divorcing Mo Wu, their intention was to threaten her into handing over the Silver Coin and recipes she had earned in the past few months. But how could they truly write a letter of divorce?

Given the reputation and circumstances of Lao Mo’s House, they simply didn’t have the extra Silver to provide Mo Yongfu a new bride. Even if soone disregarded the reputation and ignored the dowry to marry into the family, it was likely to be an idle woman of ill repute, an old maid, or a widow with children in tow. How could any compare to the capable Mo Wu?

Seeing that no amount of pressure would make Mo Wu hand over the Silver, Mo Hong’s family, Mother and Daughter, as well as Mo Niu, finally couldn’t sit still. Taking advantage of Mo Wu’s absence at her stall, Mrs. Niu kicked open the broken door and searched for the Silver high and low.

However, from the first Silver Coin Mo Wu had earned on the first day of her stall to now, the fifty percent that belonged to her had all been kept with Mo Yan. The three of them turned the house upside down, not even sparing the rat holes, and eventually found four or five silver corner pieces in a gap of the straw mattress by the bed.
