Whenever he had free ti, Lizhong would teach them accounting. Tie Tou was a slow learner; after many days, he only knew how to add and subtract within ten. Lizhong told him to practice more whenever he had the chance.

Wang Pangtou had been babbling to himself for quite a while without hearing Tie Tou utter a word. Turning his head, he saw Tie Tou seriously counting on his fingers and fell silent, deciding not to disturb him.

Within half an hour, they arrived at the warehouse. Little Black automatically turned around and then reversed, parking the flatbed cart firmly in front of the warehouse door.

Wang Pangtou happily patted its head, praising its intelligence. He took out the key, opened the door, and was about to ask Tie Tou, who was still busy with counting, to get off the cart and move the grain, when he inadvertently saw a person sneakily peeking around the corner not far away.

His heart skipped a beat, and he quickly pulled Tie Tou into the doorway, only to see the person cautiously approaching.

"Pangtou, what’s wrong?" Tie Tou followed his gaze and glanced outside, asking in confusion.

Wang Pangtou quickly signaled him to lower his voice and pointed at the sneaky person, whispering, "Sothing’s off about that man. Seems like he’s been following us."

Tie Tou took a careful look and said with certainty, "That person definitely followed us here. He’s been tailing us since we left the shop, and I counted him several tis from the cart."

"Then why didn’t you say sothing earlier!" Wang Pangtou slapped his head anxiously. Who knows what nefarious ideas this person harbored, and now that he knew about the warehouse, what if sothing happened!

Tie Tou touched the spot where he’d been slapped, his voice tinged with grievance, "I didn’t realize..."

Wang Pangtou knew Tie Tou was simple-minded and couldn’t bla him for it. He could only shake his head helplessly and told him to speak up next ti he noticed soone suspicious.

Seeing that the person had hidden behind another corner and was out of sight, Wang Pangtou’s eyes darted about, and without paying further attention, he signaled Tie Tou to help him move the grain.

Soon, seven or eight bags of grain were piled onto the flatbed cart. After they locked up the warehouse, the two of them climbed onto the cart and headed back.

As the cart passed the corner where the man had been hiding, Wang Pangtou glanced over with his peripheral vision and saw that the person was still there. He drove the cart nonchalantly until they reached another warehouse’s corner, then looked back. Seeing that the man had only peeked through the door crack a few tis before following them again, he felt sowhat relieved and let Little Black continue walking ahead.

The person kept following at a consistent distance until they got back to the shop, where the figure then disappeared. Unable to unload the grain imdiately, Wang Pangtou rushed into the shop to report everything to Mo Yan and Lizhong.

Mo Yan pondered for a mont and then said, "That person is probably sent by the Xue Family to tail us. It seems the Xue Family is likely to send soone to guard the warehouse now and trace back to the source of the grain."

"Hmm, the Xue Family seems to be reeling from the moldy grain incident and has beco more cautious. This ti they’re not pursuing a rger by underhanded ans, probably because they fear being caught with evidence," Lizhong quickly analyzed the reason and breathed a sigh of relief.

"It’s good that they’re cautious; we might shake them off without needing Young Master Yan’s help," Mo Yan said with a smile on his face, visibly tired of playing gas of wit with those people.

But they were celebrating too soon!

At noon, just after Mo Yan and the others had eaten lunch, an unwelco guest arrived at the shop.

Upon recognizing the visitor, Lizhong’s face soured imdiately, "What are you doing here again? Wasn’t the beating last ti painful enough?"

Her face stiffening, Lady Hu quickly put on a smile and said, "Look at what you’re saying, relative. Isn’t it normal for relatives to visit each other?"

Upon hearing this, Lizhong’s expression turned even more unsightly as he glared at Hu, "Who is your relative? My Li Family is down and out and cannot latch onto the Zhang Family’s esteed doorway."

If it weren’t for fear of impacting his business with custors coming and going, he would have already chased this shaless mother and son away with a broom.

Hidden behind Lady Hu, Zhang Ming saw that Lizhong’s attitude was still tough. He pulled at the hem of Hu’s clothes anxiously but didn’t dare to step out and speak in his own defense, scared of being beaten again!

This cowardly and inept deanor infuriated Lizhong even more, increasingly regretting his past folly in even considering such a useless person.

With a fixed smile on her face, Lady Hu raised her hand to slap her own mouth, "Relative, I’m soone who speaks carelessly. I got muddled and spoke out of turn that ti. You’re a magnanimous person, so don’t take offense at soone as shortsighted as myself."

A mocking smile appeared on Lizhong’s face as he impatiently said, "If you have sothing to say, just say it. I don’t have ti to waste on your chatter."

Seeing herself belittled even though she approached humbly, Lady Hu almost lost her temper, but thinking of the various promises made to her, she took a deep breath and forced herself to endure.

Taking out a dingy, unwashed handkerchief from her waist, she wiped the corners of her eyes and said sadly, "Relative, I know the Zhang Family wronged Xiu Er before, but with three generations handing down to only one child in our family, and seeing that Xiu Er can’t bear offspring, Zhang Family will end with him, and we are anxious about it!"

As she said this, she looked up at Lizhong, and seeing that he was unmoved, she inwardly cursed but gritted her teeth and continued, "Ming is troubled in his heart, but he never dared to tell Xiu Er the truth, fearing that she would overthink it. He could only drown his sorrows in drink, but who knew that one day, when he was drunk, that Lady Yao would take advantage of him. He didn’t an to..."

"Yes, father-in-law!" Seeing Lizhong’s deanor soften slightly, Zhang Ming brightened up and quickly continued, "I was afraid of hurting Xiu Er. I couldn’t bear to tell her the truth. But that Lady Yao showed up pregnant at our door, making it known to all the neighbors, even demanding that I divorce Xiu Er to marry her! My feelings for Xiu Er are sincere; I truly don’t want to do that..."
