Mo Yan felt a warm comfort in her heart as she let Xin Er help her apply the ointnt. After the application, her face felt cool and comfortable, though the scent wasn’t very pleasant.
Upon learning that she had more of it, Xin Er hurriedly pulled her sister into the room to apply so. Seeing the dense and nurous punctures on her sister’s body, she couldn’t stop tears from falling.
Mo Yan comforted her with no other choice for a while and teased her for being a ’little crybaby’. Only then did Xin Er wipe away her tears, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"Sister, don’t go into the mountains anymore. If you fall by accident and hit sowhere next ti, Xin Er will really cry herself to death."
Mo Yan stroked her head and smiled without saying a word.
Once Xin Er left, Mo Yan quickly picked up paper and pen to start drawing the tools needed for gallbladder extraction, including a surgical knife, puncture needles, and a drainage tube.
The surgical knife and puncture needles were feasible, given the craftsmanship in this era. They were not difficult to make. The challenge was the absence of plastic, which made it hard to create a drainage tube, requiring her to find a suitable material to substitute.
Late at night, a dark shadow floated into the small courtyard of the Mo Family. The figure took out a white porcelain bottle from their bosom and placed it at the Mo Family’s door before gliding away as swiftly as they had co. Aside from the quiet moon above, no one knew that soone had visited.
"Huh, who left this at the door?" Lizhong got up early and saw the white porcelain bottle on the ground. The bottle was bare with no inscription. He opened the cap and sniffed, the aroma of coolness mixed with fragrance lingering in his breath.
Without trying, Lizhong knew this was sothing good.
Thinking of the injuries of his young lady, a look of surprise crossed Lizhong’s face. He quickly pocketed the porcelain bottle and handed it to Mo Yan once she woke up.
Mo Yan took the white porcelain bottle and knew imdiately who had sent it. A strange feeling suddenly surged up in her heart.
eting Lizhong’s puzzled gaze, she hastened to discard that strangeness and pretended to be surprised, "Who’s so kind to send such good dicine? Could it be that the Bodhisattva knew I was injured and specially sent down this Immortal Elixir? That would be too wonderful!"
Lizhong’s eyes twitched, and he suddenly felt that ’the young lady was not so reliable’. Yet, seeing her reaction, it seed that she also did not know who sent it in the middle of the night, so he felt relieved.
Taking the bottle of dicine back to her room, Mo Yan considered for a mont and still let Xin Er apply it. Compared to the ointnt they used yesterday, this one seed much finer, and most importantly, it lacked that irritating odor, instead it was quite fragrant.
After applying the ointnt, Mo Yan clearly felt an effect; the underlying pain diminished a lot. She looked at the dicine bottle, and once again, an odd feeling welled up inside her unintentionally.
Preoccupied with the matter of upgrading her Space, Mo Yan had no plans to venture into the mountains recently. She intended to wander around the streets; perhaps she could perform enough good deeds to accumulate rit and, along the way, stop by the smithy to get the surgical knife and puncture needles made.
Little Flower was too large and attracted too much attention when brought out. Mo Yan didn’t want to take it, but Little Flower, having never accompanied her on a shopping trip, was adamant about following, setting up a stance as if saying, ’If you don’t let go, I’ll cry for you to see’.
Mo Yan had no choice but to promise all sorts of benefits, and only then did the creature grudgingly agree.
Leaving ho, Mo Yan aimlessly strolled the streets. She was unsure if it was the good public order in Jing City or the lack of incidents during the day, but even after wandering for two hours, she didn’t co across anyone needing assistance.
There were indeed so beggars on the streets; it wasn’t that she didn’t want to help, but their situation was not easy to assist. Either she would have to support them for a lifeti or find them a stable job, neither of which she could easily solve at the mont.
Just as Mo Yan was about to wander a bit more and then find a shop to eat sothing, there was a commotion not far ahead, drawing a crowd of onlookers.
