The others had no objections and each returned to their rooms to pack up their valuables before heading out of the inn, onto the busy street.

The not-so-spacious street was brimming with pedestrians, appearing sowhat crowded, and amusingly, few n were to be seen. Mo Qingze didn’t have the heart to squeeze into the crowd of won, so he found a tea house and slipped in, claiming it was to find a place for his wife and daughters to rest their feet.

The mother and her daughters had already been captivated by so novel trinkets on the street, so they didn’t mind that their husband (father) had run off halfway through. Mo Yan took out the small change of silver and copper coins she had exchanged in advance, distributed them to her mother and two sisters, and bought all the small items that caught their eye.

These things were not expensive, especially the children’s toys, which were very cheap—one or two pieces of silver could almost buy out an entire stall. They shopped happily, not minding the silver spent.

Peach Blossom Town was indeed not large, and they strolled from the head of the street to the end. Even though they deliberately slowed down, it still took them only half an hour to finish their walk. Feeling thirsty, the mother and daughters decided to have a cup of tea at a tea house and then hire a guide to take them sowhere fun nearby.

"Mother, there’s soone selling honey sugar over there. I’m going to buy so; you take my sisters to the tea house first," Mo Yan said, standing amidst the crowded throng of people, spotting an old man at the end of the street who was tapping on an iron piece.

Cui Qingrou had tasted honey sugar before and was quite fond of the sweet yet slightly bitter cubes with a burnt aroma, so she nodded and said, "Go ahead, we’ll wait for you in the tea house."

Mo Yan felt the purse at her waist that held the small change of silver, making sure she had enough to buy the sugar, then headed towards the end of the street. As she was about to reach the sugar vendor, a strange-sounding voice reached her ears.

"Xuetuan, what are those two people talking about?" Mo Yan curiously asked Xuetuan, as she watched a man and a woman arguing in a small alley not far away.

These two individuals had deep-set features and their stature and attire resembled the caravan they had encountered in the inn that morning, even the woman was notably tall and stout. But their accent and language were completely different from the caravan’s, which is why Mo Yan noticed them.

"This is the first ti I’ve heard this language, so I have no idea what they are saying," Xuetuan confessed, "Maybe they are from so small frontier town or perhaps belong to a tribe that followed a caravan to Jing City to do business. What’s there to be so surprised about?"

Mo Yan shook her head, "I don’t know why I noticed them, perhaps just out of curiosity. Since you don’t know either, let’s go buy the sugar! Oh dear, I forgot you don’t have a mouth and can’t eat sugar. No worries, when you transform, I’ll buy you delicious food every day."

Xuetuan: "..."

Suddenly really wish to transform, what to do?

As Mo Yan walked away, she was unaware that her brief pause had caught the attention of the man and woman in the alley.

"That girl just now noticed us, could there be a problem?" the woman asked the man she had been arguing with in their native language.

The man, who had a full beard, chuckled upon hearing the woman’s concern, "So what if she noticed? What can a girl, still wet behind the ears, understand of our language?"

"Better safe than sorry. Great Chu has hidden dragons and crouching tigers; who knows if soone has been to our place and happens to understand our language?" the woman said cautiously, "Our target this ti is not simple. I heard she has a fierce beast guarding her, and capturing her won’t be easy. We must be careful."
