Having dismissed the maid who was prepared for the night duty, Mo Yan wrote a letter ho, explaining why she could not return, and then released an owl from Space to deliver the ssage.

Watching the owl disappear into the silvery night sky, Mo Yan stood at the window for a long ti without moving...

Although she did not have trouble sleeping in different beds, the unfamiliar environnt still made it hard for her to fall asleep, so it was quite late when she did. The consequence of going to bed late was waking up late; by the ti she woke up, the sky was bright and the sun was already three poles high.

Getting up from bed, Mo Yan annoyed slapped her head. She hurriedly dressed and washed with the warm water the maid brought, asking as she did, "At this mont, has the bride already finished serving tea?"

The maid replied nervously, "Reporting to the County Lord, Mada told the young master yesterday that the tea ceremony would be at the end of the sixth quarter of the morning, to allow the young mistress to sleep in a bit longer. It is now just the sixth quarter, and the tea ceremony has not started yet."

Hearing this, Mo Yan’s grudge against the Elderly Couple of the Shen Family lessened a bit, and she wasn’t in as much of a rush anymore. After washing up, she even put her hair up in a slightly more intricate bun. As a bride serving tea, it was not appropriate for her to be present, but it was feasible to wait outside.

Mada Shen and Elder Mr. Shen must already be aware of Lu Zhu’s appearance in the wedding hall yesterday. Even if they did not have the heart to bla her, they probably had their opinions by now. If Lu Zhu lacked discretion and showed up today to bring more bad luck to the bride, they would definitely not indulge her any longer.

Lu Zhu had so cunning, but she was not truly clever; otherwise, she would not covet Shen Ji, a married man. Soone smarter would have taken advantage of the Shen family’s guilt and affection to secure the greatest benefit for herself.

If Lu Zhu really did sothing foolish today, it would be an opportunity for her. In any case, she was not comfortable with her good sister living under the sa roof as soone with ill-intentions. She had already figured out what to do the night before.

After making sure her appearance was impeccable, Mo Yan followed the maid to the hall where the bride was serving tea, arriving punctually. The tea ceremony had just begun, so she stood in the corridor around the corner without going in.

It wasn’t long before she saw Lu Zhu, looking no different from how she was dressed in the wedding hall the day before, winding her way over. Compared to yesterday’s look of a woman confined to her boudoir, today’s Lu Zhu had a haggard face, with swollen red eyes standing out against her pale features. Her frail waist, in particular, seed like it could collapse at any mont.

Mo Yan watched as Lu Zhu paused montarily at the door, then staggeredly rushed in. The next instant, a chorus of surprised gasps ca from inside, followed by Elder Mr. Shen’s scolding of his niece, telling her to leave.

A smirk spread across Mo Yan’s face. She stepped up to the doorway but did not enter. The maid who had led her there, however, was so frightened her legs were weak; she wished she could rush in to inform her masters imdiately, but she also knew that, even if she did, it would not undo anything.

"Zhuzhu, go back to your room quickly. This isn’t a place for you. If you want to see your cousin’s wife, you will be able to et her formally in three days."

Inside, Father Shen was showing his niece the door for the first ti, having never expected the niece he doted on like a daughter to repeatedly cause such ill-favored incidents.

"Yes, Zhuzhu, listen to your uncle and go back to your room," Mada Shen also stood up to persuade her. When she caught a glimpse of her daughter-in-law just looking upset without making a scene, she felt a bit relieved and guiltier at the sa ti.

The other couples sitting in the room were Shen Ji’s uncles and aunts. Since they didn’t have a direct relationship with Lu Zhu and were visibly upset though reluctant to speak out after Father Shen and Mother Shen had their say, they didn’t add any more comnts.

Lu Zhu, as if soulless, seed not to hear her uncle’s and aunt’s advice. Her gaze, a mix of sorrow and resentnt, fell on Shen Ji, but when she saw Liu Tinglan standing beside him, her eyes seed poisoned with hate and deep jealousy. To the uninford, it might appear as if her husband had been stolen by Liu Tinglan!

"Brother Ji, why, why are you so cruel to Zhuzhu? How is she better than Zhuzhu, why would you abandon Zhuzhu and marry this woman? You clearly said you would marry Zhuzhu!" Lu Zhu gazed obsessively at Shen Ji, her grievances pouring forth as her delicate deanor shook like a frail white flower in the cold wind.
