"What, Fan ijiao knocked over Lord Mu Second’s cousin, Mr. Mu? Are you sure you didn’t hear it wrong?" Mo Yan stared at Xuetuan incredulously, unable to believe her own ears.
She hadn’t used the hallucinogenic drug, so how did Fan ijiao manage to sabotage herself?
The questioned Xuetuan suddenly puffed up, saying loudly, "If there’s a mistake, it’s Little Flat Feather who got it wrong. How could I possibly mishear?"
The innocent Little Green Bird shook its head, tinier than a thumb, toward Mo Yan, indicating that it hadn’t made any mistake.
"Uh, don’t be angry, don’t be angry, I just can’t believe Fan ijiao would do such a thing, not that I didn’t believe you," Mo Yan quickly apologized to Xuetuan. This creature’s temper was growing by the day, bristling at the slightest thing.
"Humph, I forgive you. I am not as petty as you are, always nitpicking over my minor mishaps!" Xuetuan arrogantly turned its small body around, presenting its backside (it has one?) to Mo Yan.
Mo Yan ground her teeth, suddenly feeling she had been too lenient with Xuetuan; otherwise, why would it dare effrontery to mock her like this, as if it had swallowed fireworks?
Sensing the murderous aura from behind, Xuetuan quickly spun around, glaring at Mo Yan with caution: "You should think about what to do next instead. Even though Fan ijiao’s disgraceful attempt failed, the Mu Family will still not let her off the hook. It’s very likely they will kill her outright."
No wonder Xuetuan’s thoughts were so ruthless, it was because that’s exactly the way the Mu Family conducted their affairs. This ti, Fan ijiao’s actions had crossed the Mu Family’s bottom line, and for the sake of maintaining their century-old family’s reputation, they couldn’t let her off.

Perversely, Lord Mu Second had never taken this continuation wife seriously, even neglecting to lift her veil before he left to find entertainnt elsewhere. Desperate, Fan ijiao ignored the maids’ advice and lifted the veil herself, darting to the outer courtyard in her red wedding dress in search of Lord Mu Second.
Instead of finding Lord Mu Second, she ran into Mr. Mu who had just finished sending off guests.
By then, Fan ijiao was so tornted by lust that she had lost her senses, and had it not been for the last shred of clarity, she would have dragged any passing servant into bed. However, that last bit of awareness disappeared when she saw Mr. Mu, dignified and sowhat resembling Lord Mu Second, and amidst the shouts of maids and servants, she pounced on the unsuspecting Mr. Mu and brought him to the ground.
After the servants had managed to pull her away from him, Mr. Mu’s outer garnt was ripped open, and his face bore several bright red lipstick marks.
Anyone with eyes could tell that Fan ijiao’s flushed face was abnormal, but many servants witnessed her knocking over Mr. Mu. No matter the reason, her reputation was ruined, and the Mu Family could not accept such a shaless daughter-in-law.
The Mu Family, a prominent household in Jing City, could not simply send Fan ijiao back to her parents after such an incident; silently killing her off was the Mu Family’s style!
It didn’t take much thought to know that Fan ijiao wouldn’t survive the night.
