Tsk! Quit praising yourself!” Qiao Xiaomai snorted dismissively.
“I’m not praising myself, I’m saying that I have just the right looks to match yours. If I were too ugly, wouldn’t that disgrace you too?” Tong Sanlang put on a sincere expression as he explained.

Qiao Xiaomai raised her hand and gave him a slap, “Get out of here!”

Upon hearing this, Qiao Xiaomai snorted, “Don’t you think this conduct is disrespectful?”
“Not really, even my Dad occasionally quarrels with my Grandpa…uh, is this a case of like father like son?”

She threw the sunflower seeds in her hand onto the table, casually wiped her face, then held Tong Sanlang’s face in her hands, and said seriously, word by word, “Very good, you’re becoming more and more like a modern man.”
In the modern world, the concept of filial piety becos faint. Quarrelling and acting willful were so common that they couldn’t be considered disrespectful.

This was a treat, Tong Sanlang wrapped his long arms around Qiao Xiaomai’s shoulders, wanting to deepen this kiss, when Qiao Dami’s voice calling for dinner ca from outside, “Sis, Sis, alti!”
Zhuang Luhe had finished cooking dinner.
Hearing the sound of Qiao Dami’s footsteps, Qiao Xiaomai twisted her body and escaped from Tong Sanlang’s arms. Her face adorned a smile, “Let’s eat.”
