Feng Yun did not speed up.

He continued walking at the sa calm pace, as if he were simply enjoying a quiet stroll. The outer districts of Maple Leaf City were far less crowded than the central streets. Shops beca sparse, houses stood farther apart, and the noise of the city gradually faded behind him.

Behind him, the three followed closely.

They no longer bothered hiding their intent completely. The Saint Realm cultivator at the centre kept his aura suppressed, but the faint pressure he leaked was enough to make ordinary cultivators instinctively avoid the area. The two Martial King Realm cultivators flanked him naturally, forming a loose but coordinated formation.

They were experienced.

Feng Yun turned onto a dirt road that led toward the forested outskirts of the city. No guards stopped him. No one questioned him. To outsiders, it looked like nothing more than a lone cultivator leaving the city.

Only when the city walls were no longer in sight did Feng Yun finally stop.

He stood at the edge of the road, hands behind his back, and looked ahead at the quiet forest. The wind rustled the leaves gently, and the air carried the faint scent of earth and grass.

"You’ve followed long enough," Feng Yun said calmly.

The three figures halted behind him.

For a brief mont, no one spoke.

Then the Saint Realm cultivator stepped forward. His face was ordinary, the kind that blended easily into a crowd. His eyes, however, were cold and sharp, carrying a faint red glint that was difficult to notice unless one looked carefully.

"As expected," the man said slowly. "You noticed us early."

Feng Yun turned around and faced them. His expression was relaxed, almost indifferent.

"You entered Maple Leaf City without restraint," Feng Yun replied. "That alone was enough."

The Saint Realm cultivator narrowed his eyes slightly. "You’re much more talented than the rumours suggest."

"Rumours tend to exaggerate," Feng Yun said. "State your purpose."

The man smiled faintly. "We have a proposal for you from our cult master. You have disturbed our plan by killing the Wolf Guild master, but we are willing to let go of that matter if you are willing to compensate."

"Compensate how?" Feng Yun curiously asked.

"Join us." The man spoke.

"Join the Blood Demon Cult? Not interested." Feng Yun shook his head.

"Then, you will have to die." The man released killing intent and said.

The two Martial King Realm cultivators behind him subtly shifted their stance, their spiritual energy beginning to circulate. They were ready to act at any mont.

Feng Yun glanced at them briefly, then returned his gaze to the Saint Realm cultivator. "You are misunderstanding very badly if you think you can kill with your strength."

The atmosphere changed.

The wind seed to slow, and the pressure in the air grew heavier. The Saint Realm cultivator’s expression finally lost its relaxed edge.

"You’re confident," he said. He spread out his divine sense to check surroundings; he didn’t detect any strong aura nearby. Clearly there was no person to save Feng Yun.

"No need to look around; I am alone," Feng Yun corrected.

Silence fell again.

Then, without warning, the Saint Realm cultivator raised his hand slightly.

The two Martial King Realm cultivators moved at the sa ti, their auras surging as they prepared to attack.

Feng Yun did not move.

He simply stood there, eyes calm, waiting.

The mont the three stepped forward, the forest around them trembled faintly.

And that was when they realized—

They were no longer the ones in control.

The Saint Realm cultivator was the first to sense that sothing was wrong.

The mont his foot touched the ground, a strange pressure wrapped around the area. It was not violent, nor was it obvious, but it disrupted the flow of spiritual energy in a way that felt unnatural. His expression changed slightly as he released his divine sense outward, only to find it blocked and scattered.

"This place..." he said slowly. "When did you place arrays?"

Feng Yun shook his head lightly. "You noticed, but unfortunately, it is already late." While he was chatting with them, he secretly activated an array formation.

The two Martial King Realm cultivators tried to move, but their steps faltered. Their spiritual energy surged, then stalled, as if caught in thick mud. Panic flickered across their faces for the first ti.

"This isn’t a normal formation," one of them said sharply.

"No," Feng Yun replied calmly. "It’s a superior sixth-rank suppression formation."

He raised his hand slightly, not making any dramatic movent. The air around them seed to tighten, and the pressure increased just enough to make breathing difficult. The surrounding forest remained quiet, untouched, as if nothing was happening.

The Saint Realm cultivator narrowed his eyes. "You’re hiding deeply; there is no way. You are simply a mber of a small clan. What is your identity?"

"Everyone hides sothing," Feng Yun said. "You should understand; after all, you guys are pretty experienced at hiding."

The Saint Realm cultivator tried to circulate his power again, forcing it outward. This ti, he succeeded, but only barely. His aura flared briefly before being pressed down again, like a fla struggling against a heavy weight.

At that mont, he understood.

This was not a difference in realm alone.

This was a difference in foundation.

"Demon Blood Cult sends a Saint Realm cultivator just to confirm my identity," Feng Yun said slowly. "Either you underestimated , or you are testing how far you can push."

The Saint Realm cultivator did not deny it. "If we had known your true condition, we would not have co with only three people."

"That’s where you made your mistake," Feng Yun said. "You should not have co at all."

The two Martial King Realm cultivators could no longer stand properly. Their knees bent under the pressure, and their faces turned pale. They struggled, but the more they resisted, the heavier it beca.

Feng Yun took out the spear and attacked the two martial king realm cultivators; he killed them without any hesitation.

Then he looked at the remaining saint realm cultivator and spoke, "I can spare your life if you are willing to talk. Tell about the Blood Demon Cult. What is your objective towards the Black Plain City?"

"You want to expose the secret of the Blood Demon Cult. Dream on." The saint realm cultivator looked at Feng Yun and snorted.
