After Feng Yun defeated two disciples, there was a silence in the crowd. The youngsters who ca to watch Feng Yun being defeated by the disciples of Eternal Sword Sect were stunned and tongue-tied.

They all couldn’t help but look at Feng Yun with a new light and beca curious about his background. His technique was not low; his fighting style was also very dominating. He didn’t look like a rogue or a small-ti cultivator.

At this ti, everyone’s eyes fell on the Liang Fei. He was the strongest among the disciples of the Eternal Sword Sect. Only he had a chance to defeat Feng Yun.

Liang Fei stepped forward. "You are stronger than I expected, much stronger."

Feng Yun smiled at him and said, "Not much, just a little bit."

"Then I would like to know how much." Liang Fei said as he jumped in the sky. If they fought on the ground, the surrounding buildings would be affected by their battle.

Feng Yun also launched into the air with a calm expression. He could see that Liang Fei was much stronger than others, but he was confident he could defeat him.

A single leap from each man — and they vanished into the sky, stopping midair as spiritual platforms ford beneath their feet.

Below, the streets shimred with tension. Hundreds watched from rooftops, windows, and afar.

Above, the clouds trembled.

Liang Fei unsheathed his sword slowly. As the steel cleared the scabbard, it pulsed with a clear, high chi — like a bell that rang through the soul.

"Crimson Sword Art — Heaven’s Pulse Form."

Feng Yun spun his spear once. "Then I won’t hold back."

Liang Fei vanished.

A sonic boom split the sky as he reappeared behind Feng Yun, blade descending in a radiant arc.

Feng Yun didn’t turn.

He twisted midair, catching the sword with the shaft of his spear. Sparks exploded like stars.

The impact sent both flying in opposite directions.

Feng Yun flipped backward, balancing in midair with a spear twirl.

Liang Fei skidded to a stop on a spiritual platform of his own qi.

"You didn’t even look," Liang called, amused.

"You were too slow," Feng Yun replied.

Liang Fei raised his blade above his head. The air bent around him.

"Eternal Sword Art — Moon Severing Cut!"

He dashed forward, sword trailing arcs of silver energy. Each slash released a crescent wave, cutting through clouds like paper.

Feng Yun’s eyes glinted.

He dashed straight into the storm.

His spear spun in his hands — a whirlwind of blue and silver qi, colliding with the crescent blades in midair. Explosions thundered with each impact, lighting the skies with electric arcs and spiritual light.

One crescent slipped past. Feng Yun twisted — it nicked his arm.

Liang Fei rushed in with a follow-up slash.

Feng Yun countered.

"Golden Dragon Spear!"

A massive spear arc exploded from his weapon, coiling into a translucent dragon made of pure qi. The dragon roared and surged toward Liang Fei like lightning given form.

Liang Fei raised both hands, forming a dual-handed grip on his sword.

"Sword Domain: Mirror Sky Reflection!"

A do of silver light enveloped him just in ti. The dragon hit—shattered the first layer, then the second.

BOOOOM!

The explosion lit up the night sky.

Spectators below shielded their eyes.

When the light faded, both cultivators were still airborne, Liang Fen panting, robes torn, blood at the corners of his mouths.

But his eyes were still focused as he looked at Feng Yun.

Final Exchange — Strike of Hearts

Liang Fei wiped his mouth.

"No techniques. One final strike," he said. "You in?"

Feng Yun nodded. "Deal."

They floated across from each other. The wind died down.

Then—

They moved.

Both vanished from sight, reappearing in the centre of the sky with blinding speed.

Feng Yun’s spear glowed, fully infused with his essence.

Liang Fei’s sword turned translucent — not light, not shadow, but sothing in between.

The weapons t—

—and the sky split open.

A shockwave rippled across the entire city, sending dust flying, breaking windows, and shaking mountains in the distance.

The air froze. Ti seed to stand still.

Then — the two descended.

Feng Yun touched down lightly, one foot bending slightly as he absorbed the impact. His spear humd softly, and a thin trail of smoke rose from its tip.

Liang Fei landed across from him. His sword shattered midair into glowing fragnts.

He sank to one knee, panting hard.

"You win." He whispered dejectedly. He never expected that he would lose so easily against him.

"Hmm, you have a good attitude, willing to accept defeat." Feng Yun looked at Liang Fei and comnted.

"I am a swordsman; I can’t accept a simple setback. I am not worthy of pursuing the sword dao." Liang Fei said and continued, "And I will not give up; I will challenge you again."

"Well, I will be waiting." Feng Yun smiled casually. Feng Yun didn’t take him seriously at all. Next ti they t, he would be in a different league.

....

Sowhere in the distance, two n could be seen standing together, watching Feng Yun and Liang Fei’s battle. They were middle-aged n, wearing simple clothes but with an invisible sword intent radiating from both bodies.

"Huh, this young fellow is really talented."

"Alas, he is not a sword user; otherwise, we can invite him to the sect."

"So what if he is not a sword user? His talent is alone enough to make him a direct disciple in our sect. His real age is below 25, but he has already reached the Martial King Realm, and his combat power is strong enough to defeat a sixth-level Martial King Realm cultivator. Such kinds of geniuses are very rare to see in a century."

"We have to invite him to our sect."

Indeed, these two people were elders of the Eternal Sword Sect. They also heard the reputation of Feng Yun and ca to absorb him. Feng Yun was not a mber of any sect; if he shows potential, they might invite him to their sect.

Feng Yun surpassed their expectations.

...

The entire city witnessed Feng Yun’s battle; his reputation soared.
