C10 – My Son Is Very Strong

It was common knowledge that among the ten great elders of the Mo family, the Third Elder held the most power, second only to the Patriarch. If the Third Elder’s offspring could ascend to the sixth floor of the Azure Dragon Pagoda, it was highly probable that the Third Elder would beco the next Patriarch.

At that mont, inside the Azure Dragon Pagoda, a black-clad youth lay on the ground, blood at the corner of his mouth, his eyes brimming with defiance.

“Impossible! How could you possibly defeat ?” Mo Yangning ground his teeth as he stared at Mo Changyou standing before him.

His fists were clenched, his gaze a tumultuous mix of murderous intent, confusion, and astonishnt.

He had witnessed with his own eyes how Mo Changyou remained unaffected by the gravity field on the fifth level. How could that be?

A storm of thoughts raged in Mo Yangning’s mind. The Mo family had once enlisted a Grade Four Divine Rune Master, a figure of stature comparable to the Sovereign, to decipher the pagoda’s runes. Yet, this master admitted that the complexity of the pagoda’s runes was beyond his comprehension and that he was unable to decode them.

But how had Mo Changyou managed to unravel the Divine Pattern?

“If you dare harm again, I swear I will kill you,” Mo Changyou declared as he approached Mo Yangning and viciously stomped on his right hand.

A scream pierced the air as Mo Yangning’s right hand was crushed. Mo Changyou’s gaze was icy as he looked down at Mo Yangning, who shuddered under the intensity of his stare.

Did this look belong to an ordinary person? He seed more akin to a demon.

“You’ve injured today. Once we leave the Azure Dragon Pagoda, I will never forgive you!” Mo Yangning bellowed, rage burning in his eyes.

Mo Changyou, however, disregarded Mo Yangning’s threats. He simply raised his foot and brought it down on Mo Yangning’s left hand.

Following another agonized scream, Mo Yangning lost consciousness, overwheld by the excruciating pain.

Mo Changyou observed the unconscious Mo Yangning, then glanced at the Divine Pattern in his hand. Monts earlier, he had activated the Divine Pattern to shift the pressure from himself onto Mo Yangning. In that instant, Mo Yangning’s Energy Condensation Level 5 strength had plumted to Level 4.

“Regrettably, the majority of the Divine Patterns in my mind are from ancient tis, differing from those used today. Otherwise, I wouldn’t even need to launch an attack to defeat a re Energy Condensation Level 5 martial artist,” Mo Changyou murmured to himself. The imprinting thods for Divine Patterns have evolved over the past hundred thousand years. The Divine Patterns within the Azure Dragon Pagoda are identical to those from the Emperors’ Era, which is the only reason I can manipulate them.

Without delay, Mo Changyou settled into a ditative position next to Mo Yangning. He cast the “Man” Symbol Spell, and a formidable power within him began to voraciously draw energy from Mo Yangning’s body.

If Mo Yangning were conscious at this mont, the experience would surely terrify him. His energy was continuously surging into Mo Changyou, who, at that instant, experienced a complete breakthrough to Energy Condensation Level 3.

Mo Changyou rose to his feet, his Spirit Energy now exponentially stronger.

In that instant, the indicator for the sixth floor of the Azure Dragon Pagoda was fully illuminated!

“Mo Yangning and Mo Yunyun have both ascended to the sixth floor of the Azure Dragon Pagoda!” a disciple cried out excitedly.

No one suspected that it could be anyone else entering the sixth level, as only those two possessed such formidable talents.

“It’s not necessarily Mo Yangning and Mo Yunyun who’ve reached the sixth level; it could be soone else,” a disciple with lesser cultivation suggested quietly.

“If it’s not Mo Yunyun and Mo Yangning, then who could it be? Mo Changyou, perhaps?” Mo Fei joked, eliciting laughter from the surrounding disciples.

“Beiming has lived up to my expectations by reaching the sixth level; it’s truly a cause for celebration,” a middle-aged man’s voice announced. An elder clad in a gray robe approached, nodding subtly at the Azure Dragon Pagoda.

His deanor was one of calm, but inwardly he was filled with imnse joy.

“Third Elder, Mo Yangning’s ascent to the sixth floor of the Azure Dragon Pagoda today is indeed a montous occasion,” an elder said, seeking to ingratiate himself with the Third Elder.

It was common knowledge that the Mo family’s Patriarch, despite his formidable strength, wielded little influence within the family due to his bachelor status and reclusive nature. In contrast, the Third Elder had garnered the support of nurous factions, positioning himself as a de facto ruler within the Mo family.

The Third Elder, Mo Yanglin, was a formidable force in the late Spirit Fusion Stage, his strength undeniably imnse.

“It’s not enough; Beiming must continue to strive for excellence,” Mo Yanglin mused, his heart swelling with pride, though he maintained an air of humility in his words.

“Third Elder, your son is the strongest among the Mo family’s direct descendants, isn’t he? You’ve taught him well,” remarked an elder with a bow. His tone carried an undercurrent of implication.

It was common knowledge that Patriarch Mo, the Great Elder, had remained a bachelor without heirs. And as for the Second Master, Mo Feng, Mo Changyou’s father, he was considered worthless. Mo Changyou was no different. Thus, among the ten great elders, the Third Elder’s son truly stood out as the most formidable among the direct disciples.

“Indeed, the Third Elder’s son far surpasses the Second Master’s son. I’ve heard the Second Master’s son hasn’t even managed to break through to Energy Condensation,” another elder guffawed. He gestured respectfully towards Mo Yanglin with a bow.

The Third Elder was well-known for his disdain towards the Second Master and the Patriarch. Second Master was a failure, and Patriarch Mo had only ascended to his position because of his blood relation to the Second Master, fueling the Third Elder’s resentnt.

Why should the worthless Mo Feng and his son hold a higher status than his own?

Upon hearing an elder bring up the Second Master and his son, a shadow passed over Mo Yanglin’s eyes, and a cold smirk curled his lips.

“Energy Condensation? I doubt soone with a re Grade Nine Talent could ever break through to Energy Condensation in their entire lifeti!”

Mo Yanglin’s voice dripped with scorn. His son, a top-tier prodigy who had reached the sixth floor of the Azure Dragon Pagoda, was leagues beyond Mo Changyou, that so-called waste.
