Chapter 76: The unknown skill
Ed knew that the fight wasn't going to end this easily. He may have been able to injure them, but they still didn't show their full power. There no doubt in Ed's mind that they possessed so strong abilities. Otherwise, they wouldn't be the strongest of class A.
Alicia and Norris didn't disappoint Ed. Both of them started using so kind of magic to boost themselves.
"Velocitas, Potentia Amplificato!" Alicia seed to be using so magic to boost herself. Ed could feel that her QI was moving in quite a strange way. He also recognized the words she said as Latin. He encountered a few of them in so ani he used to watch. 'She boosted her speed and power' Ed thought while switching his gaze to Norris. It seed that attitude was buried deep within and replaced with the intent to win. He used a skill similar to Raikou's lightning clad.
Ed knew he shouldn't underestimate them now. He took a stance and was ready to intercept them. 'Let's test them a little first' Ed looked as if he was attacking them, forcing them to react. Norris disappeared from sight and only a crackling sound could be heard. The speed was too much for Ed to see, so he relied on his instincts to counter him. Every ti, he would block and swing at him, but Norris would dodge with his speed.
Alicia also joined in and started assaulting Ed. Right now, Ed could barely hold on. Both if their abilities were enhanced to a level far above what they had earlier. It was as if they were toying with Ed. Yet, they still couldn't injure him. The best they could do was push him to the edge of the ring. "Where's your confidence now?!" Norris' cocky attitude seed to be resurfacing after being able to overpower Ed. Alicia, on the other hand, seed as if she was being cautious about sothing. 'It seems like she noticed it. Smart people really are troubleso' Ed thought.
He then looked at Norris and spoke, "If you can use enhancing abilities, what makes you think others can't?" The smile on Norris' face disappeared as he felt pressure coming out of Ed. Ed was now using Ren at full power. The remaining ti for him was more than enough to fight at full power without getting tired. "I knew it! Lun!" Alicia noticed Ed's power-up and activated her skill. A blinding light surrounded her sword, as she swung it at Ed. The slash wasn't going to injure him, only blind him temporarily. She was successful, but no one knew if Ed fell for it, or let it happen.
"Now!" Both of them attacked Ed while his eyes were blinded. But as they approached him, they felt as if they were surrounded by an invisible energy that made their sweat go down their back. Ed activated his En and his seikken. The reason why Alicia and Norris felt fear was because Ed was infusing his En with killing intent. They could recover from it as their cultivation was higher, but it was still a bad experience. On the sidelines, the king narrowed his eyes as he looked at Ed.
Norris reached Ed and swung his sword. He was surprised when Ed simply bent his knees to dodge the sword. Alicia's attack was also evaded by a simple sidestep. Using seikken was enough, but Ed used En to make completely unable to hit him with physical attacks. "Use attacks that cover a big area!" Alicia soon noticed Ed's weakness and commanded Norris. 'I really hate smart people' While Ed can react to attacks, he can only react to the movent of the ones attacking. Adding his experience he's able to dodge them. But, when using magic that covers an entire area, it is difficult to predict and follow the magic's movent.
'Well, it's not like I'll let them.' The two of them were within his En, making them sitting ducks for him. Ed used space magic and appeared directly behind Norris. 'What the' before Norris could turn his head, a kick had already sent him flying. Alicia was surprised as well since she couldn't see him move. She put her guard up and focused her senses. She thought Ed would teleport behind her as well, but she was surprised when he appeared in front of her. Both of their swords t, and a shockwave spread through the ring. Ed's overwhelming power sent Alicia flying away.
"Way to go monster!" Ellie was cheering on Ed from behind. But instead of making him feel happy, she did the opposite. "Stop calling a monster!" Ed finally lost it and scread back at her. "What can we call you other than monster?!" Ellie didn't seem to be backing off her claim at all. "She's right you know." Hayato backed her up, and Ed felt even more helpless. "Don't lose focus!" Norris appeared behind Ed and attacked him with his sword.
"Don't speak if you're trying to ambush soone" Ed simply moved his own sword to block the coming attack. Alicia also recovered from the blow and was healing herself using her scabbard. She wasn't visibly hurt, but the blow caused so of her organs to shift. The duo then restarted their assault on Ed, but the latter's vision was almost recovered making his reaction ti even faster.
"Oh, I can see again!" Ed's claim surprised Alicia and her father. Usually, the skill Alicia used would make the one who was attacked unable to see for half an hour unless they use a pill or potion. What they didn't know was that Ed's natural healing ability was much higher than normal people thanks to him being an Enhancer. "Now then let's finish this quickly. I want to go and et so of my dear people." Ed's eyes looked as if they were rotating, and transforming. He was using his Sharingan to end the fight.
All the people present were shocked. No one has seen anything like it before. Not the general, not the king, no one. Ed's Sharingan was an unknown entity in this world. No other Ocular skill was like it.
