Chapter 207: Party Function
"This child should really learn how to hold back." Arthur approached Ed's fainted body and carried him. "Where's my pride as a father if he takes care of opponents such as these every ti?" Uther and Akira on the side chuckled as well. They knew that their children were about to overtake them as well and they would be feeling the sa way as Arthur.
"I think it's ti to end the war," Arthur took Ed to a tent and left him to rest there. Raikou remained next to him in case anything happens.
The war had more or less been won. Most of the strong leaders of Blood sect were killed and the soldiers were being rcilessly killed. Arthur thought hard about whether to kill them all or to spare them. But, he thought how slaughtering them all would be an embarrassnt to them. They were the winner and there was no reason to claim more lives. He flew towards the battlefield with his injured body and appeared at the front line.
"The supre commander of the Blood sect army is no more!" He shouted these words for enemies and allies to hear. The allies that were resting in the back, and the new reinforcent, cheered. The enemies, now numbering less than 200.000 slumped and knew what it ant. They had lost the war. Their fate now rests on the degree of rcy in Arthur's heart. Luckily for them, he had made up his mind.
Goburou and Garu leading the two monsters armies thought about whether to continue killing or to stop. They knew that Ed needed to kill in order to get stronger. But, the man in front of them was Ed's father. After thinking about it for a while, they decided to halt the advancent of the monsters. Ed's companions also reached the sa conclusion and stopped their massacre.
"We will not kill you; however don't expect us to be lenient. You will let your weapons down at once and we will take you as prisoners. Your fate will be decided afterward." The soldiers of Blood sect had no choice but to comply. At least most of them.
"I request a match. I won't die as a prisoner," a man said as he flew from among the soldiers. He was covered in blood and wounds and seed to be one of the soldiers that fought the hardest. He could barely hold the sword, as his entire body was shaking. Still, he held on to his conviction and stood in front of Arthur. His breathing was heavy and uneven. The pressure of fighting against Arthur, a better cultivator and also as the supre commander, weighed heavily upon him.
"I accept," said Arthur as he drew his saber. The man that requested the duel was a mid-level Heavenly Establishnt. It wasn't a duel but a fulfillnt of a last wish. They clashed swords only once, yet it looked majestic. The man's body fell to the ground as he drew his last breath. He died a warrior and not a prisoner.
"Anyone else?" Arthur said solemnly. The enemy soldiers thought hard about it, but only a handful of them requested it. Most of them clung to their lives, be it as free n or as prisoners, they wanted to live.
The enemy soldiers had their hands bound and started moving towards the camp. The coalition army soldiers did a final round of search, as they picked up the bodies of their comrades. Among them, a fat man was holding a skinny man as he muttered, "In the end, you're the one who went out with a bang" It was the two friends that joked about this war being the end for them before it began. Now, only one of them remained.
The fat man pushed back his tears as he stored his best friends' body into a spatial ring. The war was not a pleasant one, and no matter how much they could gain from, they would always lose sothing much more important. The lives of the soldiers. The coalition army had lost a little less than half of its mbers. Glory sect lost two of its Elders, while Ryuu kingdom lost most of the soldiers. If not for the fact that Ed managed to kill all of the commanders, only death would have awaited them.
They had won, they were proud. But, they were not happy.
Ed woke up in his tent after resting for a while. All of his companions were by his side, as they had returned from the battlefield.
"So, what happened?"
"Your father decided to spare the soldiers. No one objected, so they are being escorted." Sieg gave him a simplified version of what happened. Ed thought about it for a while and smiled. He didn't object either and he wouldn't have. He could always get stronger so other way.
"I see. Then, I guess we'll get to have a vacation for a little while." Ed thought about how Blood sect would suffer from this defeat. They lost so many Immortal Establishnt cultivators. So many soldiers. So many monstersNo matter what their next move will be, it won't be a second invasion.
'So, how strong did they beco?' Ed contacted the system by telepathically.
[Wait, I'll show you a list.]

'Perfect!' Ed thought to himself as his plan was successful. He used the Party Function in order to share the exp with his friends and companion. He could only use it on twenty people, so this was the best match-up that he could co up with. In this one battle, he managed to strengthen the people closest to him. He thought about it for a little, as his tent opened up. It was Emilia.
